It was only when I took it upon myself to clarify certain incorrect information that was provided by Mynatt, that I received the correct invoice (even though I already paid the first one).. (-) Professionalism: They lack netiquette (communicate poorly) and are sporadic in terms of the amount of time needed to respond to inquiries (last email took a week, and only after I sent a follow up). Also unlike some other more modern firms they don't have a web portal or dashboard where you can retrieve certificates and relevant documents. Conclusion: There are a lot of other companies out there, I was able to find a MUCH better deal elsewhere. So in a way I'm thankful that Mynatt didn't work out. I hope you consider this review if you decide to choose this firm for any policy related matters.

I call Dimmitt and they say they can't offer coverage through this insuror any more but that they would send me some new quotes when it gets closer to renewal. I don't hear from Dimmitt and don't hear from Dimmitt so I send them an e-mail and they respond "yes someone will be contacting you shortly to give you some new quotes". Never heard from them. Insurance policy expires in 3 days. Several issues. Dimmitt should have contacted me FIRST when they knew that they were being dropped by this insurance company. Second, when I asked for new quotes and options they REFUSED to give them to me telling me to wait. I waited and then followed up and they pushed me off again. Do you want to have to hound your insurance broker to do their job? Why were they fired by an insurance company from being able to offer their products? Red flags all around

I called Dimmitt, who obviously dropped the ball, and failed to file the right paperwork with the DMV, and they say, "No problem, you're covered". I asked why I got the letter, and they cannot explain, but are telling me that "I" have to take pictures of my insurance card, and all my paperwork, and send it in to the DMV...I have to do it, not Dimmitt, the one's who dropped the ball. 50 years of driving, never has this happened. When we later on requested a quote for a different policy, we were turned down as a retaliation for dropping the other policy, which was significantly higher than what we were requesting now. Patricia didn't even bother to respond. We emailed a couple more times until she finally responded back, stating that they do not accept new policies at the moment. Sounded pretty odd, but It was not urgent for us at that time so we just asked her to contact us when they do accept new policies. Several months had passed and we didn't hear from her. I called the office and a different agent answered the call. I explained what we needed and she was very happy to assist with a new policy! I then mentioned that we were working with Patricia so the agent went to get her on the line. Patricia did not accept our call, instead, she sent the other agent back to the call and asked her to inform me that they do not take new policies. That was a lie from the very beginning and absolutely shameful! We had no claims and no payment issues. We had a policy for several years with them. She simply got very upset when we decided not to renew our old policy. This was extremely rude, dishonest and unprofessional. We are delighted that we took our business elsewhere. We just wish we never did any business with this company. They are dishonest and way more expensive than most insurance agents.

My in-laws got insurance through this agency some years ago. This year, when the company they were…read moreunderwritten through (Castle Key) non-renewed them, my MIL contacted me for help getting a policy in place. I shopped around and got better coverage through another broker and a different company (Citizens) for thousands less. And yes, I compared coverage line by line. We went down to the agency to make sure the Castle Key policy was cancelled and make sure they did not bind coverage through the company that, unbeknownst to my MIL, was set to bind coverage on her home for more than $14k per year! I heard one of the agents on the phone with a customer talking about a claim with the company I got new coverage with. I told the agent (principal/broker) I didn't know they represented that company. He said "oh yea, we represent them all." I said "then why didn't you shop my in-laws through that company instead of putting them with one that was three times the price? He made up some excuses that, as a former independent insurance agent, did not track. As we were leaving, he said "well just be prepared that Citizens will soon require flood insurance for all insureds." I said, "well with the $8,000 savings, we can afford it." Zero customer service equals zero chance we will ever be back. If you have older parents or relatives that have coverage using this agency, I would ask to do a review of their policy for them. Yikes. So glad my MIL asked for my help!
