I'm looking for something special. I have to admit that I was really nervous but Mr. Tee helped me…read moreunderstand the whole process of concealed carry in the state of Florida. I was able to learn how to put in the clip. Drop the clip. Open the chamber. How to properly hold the 43X. And correct shooting stance. I know that carrying is a serious deal. I want to be as comfortable and confident with this as possible. Thanks for providing me with clear information and hands on experience.

Absolutely horrible place to shop…read more Before leaving the house this morning, I called the store to make sure they had a couple of magazines that I wanted, in stock. They did and so I made the 30 mile, one-way drive to their store to pick up a couple of magazines. Their price for the magazines on the website was $23.99. However when I tried to check out, the price had jumped to $30 per magazine. Even on Smith and Weston's website, these magazines retail for $26. But that didn't make a difference. When I told them they were $23.99 on their website, the response was yes, but that's plus shipping. I said that's exactly why I drove to the store so I wouldn't have to pay shipping. But she would not honor the website price. No problem. There are lots of online dealers that will sell me the magazines and even with shipping, their price will be less than what I would pay at this establishment. The idea of customer service doesn't exist at this store. And I will do everything in my power to tell everybody that I know who's interested in buying any type of firearm or firearm accessory, to never make a purchase at Shooter's.

My Ruger LCP II .22 caliber pistol really messed up and jammed badly. I got help from Jonathan, a…read morerange supervisor, who saw my ammo and suggested it wasn't right. I learned that .22 Long is not the same as .22 Long Rifle. Less grains and slightly shorter. Those bullets were jamming my gun. Looking forward to shooting with right bullets.

OTS is serviceable, but there are better experiences to be had at other ranges…read more The range itself, * The target system is very nice and modern, as is the ventilation. * Being able to staple targets is a plus. * The sound concussion is wild, .223/5.56 sounds as loud as .308s I've stood next to at other indoor ranges. Of all the places I've shot, I absolutely have to double up on hearing protection here. They really should invest in putting up sound deadening foam on the walls. As for the staff, * Some are friendly and genuinely good people, then a few are straight up standoffish. * Atmosphere in general can be somewhat unwelcoming. * The RSO's are inconsistent, one guy was perfectly fine with me practicing emergency reloads then the next time I came I was told I'm not allowed too by someone else. * You need to be a paying member just to qualify for practicing draws from concealment. I understand walking someone through safe drawing practices before giving the green light. However, other ranges will allow you to do this and work with you on safe technique, free of charge. * Way too excessive on ammunition check, once I brought in factory new sealed boxes of Fiocchi 5.56 55gr m193 ball and 9mm 115gr fmj they opened and ran a magnet through all of them. Final thoughts, This happens to be the closest indoor range to me, but I'd rather drive farther at the cost of my convenience in exchange for a better experience.

Shoutout to our local community heroes here at this venue! I really appreciate the layout. A nice…read moreshop with knowledgeable staff and a nice variety of products. There's lots of paper target configurations to choose from. There's cleaning supplies, ammo holders, boxes of ammunition, and even water bottles for sale. You can't bring any liquids in the range for safety reasons, preventing slip and falls. Don't forget to empty your firearms before you come in because you will be added to the bucket of shame. Safety FIRST! The range is nice for an indoor environment. Lots of fans to help ventilation of gun smoke. You will need to be aware some gun residue will be in your nose later! There's a fair amount of lanes and there are some busier times than others. They do offer training, memberships, and backgrounds checks for purchasing firearms. The staff is very cool, calm, and professional. I like that there's a good decorum and respect in the atmosphere. I have not experienced any braggadocio or false bravado nor Beavis and Butt-Head. Respect to the team here! Good range time, hearing and eye protection available, and quality products. We were able to shoot both rifle and pistol. They have clean restrooms as well... one for women and one for men. Bravo!

This is by FAR the best place in Jacksonville to get your FFL transfers…read more At $15, they're between $10 to $40 cheaper than ANYWHERE else. The brothers who own and run the store (which has now expanded to include firearms, reloading equipment and EVEN .22LR ammo which ALWAYS seems to be IN STOCK) are really good guys. For example, the last time I was in there, an older gentleman came in looking for a .50 caliber dud-round or case that he wanted for some reason--I wasn't really trying to pry--but they looked around, found one, and gave it to the guy for free. These guys are good to go and will give you a square deal. While they don't buy in bulk and may not be able to match Walmart or Gander Mountain prices on somethings, they'll do what they can to help you, and give you fair prices and personal service. They seem to have a LOT of concealable-personal defense pistols, but they have rifles and shotguns too--I'm thinking they're expanding to be a one-stop shop for home-security. NOTE: They also do engraving, jewelry repair and tons of other stuff--it's just a great place that is centrally located (no driving across town to pick up your gun or get it engraved, etc). --- About me: I'm one of those guys who buys a lot of guns on gunbroker, tries them out, writes reviews online, but then ends up selling about 75% of them (for me a gun has to be 100% reliable with all the quality ammo I feed it, AND I need a reason to own it--I'm not really a collector, though my wife would disagree).
