I couldn't be more impressed with this company! Literally life saving lessons have been learned with each and every class I've completed. Will is amazing. He somehow always finds a way to make the complicated simple and easy to understand. The classes are exhilarating and you get to take part in activities you could never practice at home. I find we far too often overestimate our skill set or think that because we imagine ourselves doing something we would be able to do it in real life. This couldn't be further from the truth. FFT courses have shown me that I must practice in real life and that we are only as good as our level of training. It was both humbling and informative to learn where my skill limits are and what I need to work on. Proudly, I can say that I left better than when I arrived. My shot groupings were tighter, I was more confident in my grip and stance, and most importantly, my knowledge of how to survive and thrive in a dangerous situation increased ten fold. If you are in need of firearms training or simply just want to get better and be more confident in your ability to protect yourself and family, FFT courses are an absolute must. Recently took the Carbine Immersion course and I have to say as usual the course was excellent. I have taken several courses from FFT and the curriculum is always very well thought out, practical and progressive. They take you from the basics to advanced skills methodically and safely. The thing I particularly like are the stress drills where they safely induce stress situations and make you operate under them. It always amazes me how the simplest things can become difficult under physical or psychological stress. Will and the other instructors are very good and experienced and safe. I can't understate the safety practice of FFT. When you have several people of varying degrees of skill and experience operating lethal weapons in close proximity safety can easily be compromised. Never felt that way while at FFT. If I had one critique is if the class size is at the maximum sometimes I feel like would like to get more reps in on a particular drill but I guess that is what skills day is for. I completed my third training course at Florida Firearms Training in Okeechobee in early August. I have now been trained by the three primary instructors Will, Stevan and Brad. While each demonstrates the same high level of professionalism and knowledge, and are excellent in their instructor role, I appreciate the value received which comes from the one-on-one interaction and sharing of their individual experiences, perspectives and shooting knowledge. So far, I've completed the Pistol Immersion Course, both Levels One and Two, and Advanced Defensive Shotgun. These are really excellent courses that I would recommend to anyone who is working on improving their defensive handgun or shotgun skill set. Attended FFT Advanced Defensive Handgun Level 1course at Okeechobee shooting sports( awesome facility) I am former Military, former Law Enforcement and very familiar with all forms of guns. Felt like I needed to shake off the rust and get some up to date training. Brad was a great instructor who presented a informative, fun, instructional course, that I walked away with knowing my strengths and weaknesses and what to work on, now, and in the future! I have signed up for several more courses in the future. In the afternoon Brad gave a Intro to handguns course that my wife attended and she could not of been happier and relaxed, she commented as well how superior Brads instruction was and how excited she was to find FFT and will be attending more advanced courses. Hello, I have been training with Florida Firearms Training for just under 10 years. I was completely new to shooting at the time I started. Any skill I may have at this time I attribute to Will and his team. Will vets his instructors and they have taken the same classes as you do countless times over before they allow to instruct, so the information you get is not diluted or altered. A lot of his instructors seem to be drawn from the armed services and emergency service personnel so they already have the experiences and skill in high stress situations. Communication is good, Class content right on point, Range layout is a good safe environment, Price is well worth it and Hey you may get some swag. Good Job FFT. My husband & I took the Firearms Safety Course today with Rizzo and Nick at the Palm Beach Shooting Center and learned so much. They were informative, engaging and very knowledgeable. They were able to answer any question that was asked although there didn't seem to be many questions from the students and I believe that was because they explained things so thoroughly. The instruction section of the class went by so fast and before I knew it, we were at the range. For someone like me who is definitely a novice, they were there every step of the way to make me feel comfortable and teach me the correct way to handle and shoot a firearm in the safest way possible. Retook the Advanced Defensive Handgun 1 class this weekend. Absolutely embarrassing how much I forgot from the first time I took this class. Will and Mike were superb as they walked us through the basics of drawing from the holster, presenting to the target, the three sighting techniques, and shooting while moving, among other things. It all starts with the right grip, and they analyze your grip first to give you the best opportunity to succeed. As they say, they teach one way of doing things, not THE way. Just completed the 3 day pistol immersion 1 class on 1/21/2019. Will, Steve, & Brad were amazingly knowledgeable, professional, and patient with this average civilian handgun owner. The course not only introduced new skills to challenge us and real life senarios, it also introduced us to drills to take home and practice for increased competency. I've been training with this company for over 3 years. The instructors are very knowledgeable, safety focused, and professional. My reason for training is self defense and the advanced classes focus on how to teach you to fight with a gun, not just shoot. The instructors explain why they recommend a specific tactic/skill so you understand how it applies to real life and the drills days allow you to practice the skills you've learned using different scenarios. Florida Firearms Training is the real deal. They teach what works and are not trying to impress students with war stories. All the instructors make sure we understand why we do what is being taught and to ask questions if we don't know why.
