I attended and took a class here with One Shot Defense and it was such a great place to host a class. It was held in one of the private bays and it felt like I wasn't even in Florida. I took my Remington 870 20 gage shotgun to Okeechobee Shooting Sports on Saturday. I bought this weapon as a present to my self upon returning from my 1st deployment to Iraq during the 2003 invasion. My shotgun has been seized up since 2015. I usually fix my own weapons but this was beyond my scope of expertise. Only 1 day latter I pickup my shotgun and it looked and operated like it did when it was brand new. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. After being executive members for 4 plus years. We no longer felt welcome. Clay fields were run down equipment broken with no signs of improving. We were flat out told by manager the clay fields were a thorn in their sides and were not profitable therefore they didn't care about them. Also employees that worked the clay fields have been fired or quit So no one available to pull. Numerous times I've been handed a remote and told I'd have to pull myself ( hard to pull and shoot) Note: we spent $400. A month on clays ‍ guess that wasn't enough. I have been going to Okeechobee shooting sports for almost two years. The employees were less than friendly but the ranges made up for the less than welcoming experience. In August 2021 we decided to purchase the 12 months membership for $25 as it saved us money. The last time we went was probably February of 2022. I understand the membership is a 12 months membership, so the remaining months couldn't be canceled. However, after the 12 month membership expired, they continued charging my card, regardless that our 12 month contract expired. At this point, they have refused to refund the previous 5 months of charges on my account saying I should have informed them I didn't want to renew my membership. The contract was for 12 months. Not 17. Unfortunately due to their poor business practices, I refuse to continue giving this business my money. ​ read more

My self and 2 other friends had a great time today. The facility was clean and up to date. There was plenty of space to move around and there were dynamic shooting options. Our range office George Petrella was amazing. Today was our first time at the facility. He walked us through all the protocols, and processes. He explained it to where it was plain and understandable, also we felt safe every step of the way. George and the rest of the crew there are awesome people. We are definitely going back. First off: The instructors/range officers are as good as it gets. I came here originally for the Intro To IDPA course a few weeks back and thought the experience was awesome. The front desk staff are courteous and friendly, the shop is spaced out well and nicely stocked, and the range officers I've encountered were helpful. Brian/Bryan was my first instructor and took the time to assist me in ensuring I was handling the firearm safely, running the course properly (and safely!), plus watching my actual hand placement on the gun itself, giving me pointers & tips. 2nd time back was for IDPA placement matches - it was 5 fields/stations with different scenarios every time. Every range officer was really helpful - it could be because I was a n00b female, but I appreciated their patience and time. (A ton of helpful insight came from these guys... just be nice to them and they'll return the favor!!) The ranges seemed very well kept and clean. 1. Steyr A. is an idiot. But then, he names himself after a gun and uses a frame from a movie as his personal pic so what did you expect? A little research online (seriously dude, 5 minutes) would have shown him that this video was exactly that, a "TRAINING" video, and that these were students learning what to do and not do. Precisely why the video was made. 2. After reading this review I went up and checked out Okeechobee Shooting Sports for myself to see exactly what he was talking about. Instead of a gaggle of functional retards he named them, I met a friendly, knowledgeable staff, running a clean, well organized, and extremely safe business. Cons : - It's a long drive. Middle of Okeechobee County. - The unpaved road leading in meant that I needed a serious car wash after. Pros : - Size. This place is HUGE! They have separate areas for shooting rifles, pistols, skeet, etc, and they even have a tactical range for big boy toys. - Services. They have a gunsmith on premises, a snack shack with some of the best bbq pork ever made by anyone other than me, and an absolutely amazingly well stocked storefront and reception area. They have classrooms to offer concealed weapons training, and several well trained personnel in every area so that help is never more than a few steps away. - Safety. From the huge berms separating every shooting bay from one another, to the range officers leading, assisting, and instructing, to the private classes held almost every day of the week, this place obviously puts safety at the top of their list. - Staff. Ask and you shall receive! Need a gunsmith? Head on over and meet Nelson. There were plenty of staff on duty during my visit, always eager to answer a question, and a simple, Is the owner around? introduced me to Jeff who was happy to tell me all about the place as well as show me some of his African safari trophies. Summary : This is not the dingy little cinder block bldg with guns painted on the back wall you see in B movies. Visited Okeechobee Shooting Sports with my dad a few weeks ago. I took some time off from work during the holidays and wanted to spend some quality time with dad. What better way than shooting (not at each other)! This is a world class facility. I've been to several indoor ranges but this place trumps them all. All the folks that work there are cool and will do whatever it takes to make sure you have a safe and enjoyable time. We only used the pistol range but did have the opportunity to take a full tour of the facility. All I can say is wow! The grounds are immaculate as is the showroom. They have all types of guns to purchase as well as accessories and apparel. I tried but could not find one negative thing about this place. It is a little bit of a drive from Central Palm Beach County but not difficult to find. I plan on returning very soon. read more

Comfortably the best range I've ever visited anywhere in the world. Separate ranges for pistols, rifles and semi-auto/assault weaponry. I chose the latter range, and rented their Barrett .50 cal for an hour whilst their smith worked on my rifle. Each range stretches out to 200 yards. You can bring your own targets (they have boards and staple guns supplied) or buy at reasonable prices in their store, and more impressively set them at whatever distance you'd like. Better training being able to shoot at something other than 25, 50 or 100 yards. Their gunsmiths are talented, fast working and no nonsense. I'd been hunting all over the east coast to find someone to thread a triangular Remington barrel and they had it indexed within 2 hours on a busy Sunday. Their services alone would be reason enough to visit. The shop has tons of parts, gear and ammo at good prices, the ROs are friendly and helpful but keep everything safe without being over-bearing and if you've got a camper they have a couple of sites if you'd like to make a longer stay of it. I cannot recommend visiting highly enough, the experience will serve to remind you how enjoyable a great range can be. read more

This has been my favorite range for the past 5 years. The staff and RO's are always helpful and pleasant. Every friend or family member I have brought has either become a member or can't wait to go back. There have been some amazing improvements over the years and it keeps getting better.
