My son completed his Driver's Ed via Florida Virtual School and they gave him 3 free driving lessons through Florida Safety Council. Scheduling was a bit troublesome with trying to find something that fit into his schedule with school, but we got it done. Glad they could take him on the highway for some I-4 driving on his last lesson. Instructors were good and provided good feedback each time. This place only cares about making money. They require you to go even when you were not charged with a dui. Instead of showing grace.They treat you as just a cash cow. They cut you off while explaining you situation and even if you have years of sobriety under your belt they continue to do things to prolong your stay in the program. As someone who had to go through the program multiple times during my youth, they absolutely don't care what you have to say. Seeing as they are the only game in town, there really isn't anything you can do except let them be rude and take it. I've met so many people in recovery who do actually care. Lynette Garcia at the Melbourne office has worked with me above and beyond even though they are booked out until next year or August I told her my situation, that I did not wanna sit in jail and loose my license for 5 years for something out of my control . and she said she'll move my file up and keep me in mind and she got me scheduled for a evaluation for November 14th!!!! she's the best!!! read more

Dont waste your time or money - Find another company. I registered for a class online and was supposed to get a registration email that never came. I spent weeks calling and emailing for over 30 days to get them to send it over and they never did. Then when I finally reached someone 33 days after paying for the class to ask for a refund and well documented attemptes and details of contacts and extension. I was treated with the most unprofessional customer service. I was not allowed to ask questions and immediately was told they were not going to put up with me on the phone. I was frustrated and I felt I had a reason with how many attempts to share that frustration. It was the worst customer service experience that I literally asked them if they could record our call because they way they were telling me they would put up with me but they were the ones talking to me like I had done something wrong. I don't drink Alcohol, I don't use drugs, never been or caused a Car accident, never hurt anyone but I do use medicinal marijuana, was in the Military, was in War, got hurt, so I use it for pain! Anyways, on my way to work, didn't do anything illegal, got pulled over in Wisconsin for nothing or just driving while being Black, now fighting this OWI because there is marijuana in my DNA-BUT, so does most of the World! Anyways, if you have any issues with your License for whatever reason or from any other State, The State of Florida is NOT your friend, be it you're a resident or not-this City will NOT make your Life easier. Florida requires you to take a class and you will likely deal with this Florida Safety Council and the people that run it from management on down. It took 2 weeks before I begged to speak to someone, then I first dealt with a Michelle at the Orlando office, this was a HORRIBLE experience with her and the management team, no one cares about your situation, you've been judged and are guilty to them, they are generally there to collect a check and to charge you as much as they can. Be careful what you say or how you express yourself because they take things out of context, personal and are extremely sensitive. You get someone name Michelle Omero, immediately request to speak to someone else-NOT management, because they are unprofessional and useless-Jeff Saputo appears arrogant, sounds unprofessional and probably believe he's untouchable-he should be evaluated! I spoke to Ms. Isabella at the Kissimmee office, she was more attentive, she listened and actually cared to help, but this is the only NICE person I've encountered, but I'm sure that there are others who are just as pleasant. You will fill out a questionnaire, then are subject to an in-person evaluation where a tattooed Lady named Joanna Paguan, plays with algorithms behind a computer typing whatever she wants because it's something you can't see, but the software counters the questionnaire you filled out earlier, in the end, she will blame whatever decision on the algorithm system that you couldn't see, but now you MUST enroll in another Drug treatment program to spend more money and more time. I DON'T USE DRUGS, probably like someone she knows! This horrible State knows that you need your License and has these false systems purposely in place to make matters more complicated just so they can collect more money. The tattooed interviewer looks like she smokes Marijuana or goes home to somebody who does but perpetrates when she's at work like she's so innocent, give her a drug test or evaluation like Jeff, they are all coagulated, anybody with tattoos smoke weed:) just my opinion, but she shouldn't be Face to Face with the Public, covered in tattoos issuing demands from a false and corrupted platform. I have tattoos, but since we are making false judgements, oh well....DO NOT TRUST or BELIEVE that ANYONE is here to help YOU, period! In 2022, I couldn't wait to move to Florida, I couldn't wait to be a resident, boasting and bragging to everyone I just bought a House in beautiful Orlando in 2023! My daughter has 6 free hours with Florida Virtual Schools (FLVS) for Driver's Ed. I like that there is availability on weekends, but no number to call to contact anyone, if needed. There are two entrances and if it were not for someone else leaving the other door, I would not have known where to go as the main door was locked. The Room was not labeled how the email stated, so we were a little lost. We circled around and came back to the Waiting Area and found the instructor. Eric B. taught my daughter's first driver class. He was VERY professional and EXTREMELY efficient. So second lesson, Rita was the instructor who was an hour late due to her car clock being wrong. I had to chase down another instructor because all the students left the room except my daughter and I was wondering where my daughter's teacher was. We waited ONE HOUR to give her the benefit of the doubt. I was hoping she did not get in an accident. She was nice, though, so I didnt want to be mean. Anyways, she was chatty, so my daughter was relieved that their time together was cut short. Third lesson we were a little late, but from chasing down the instructor the last time, I knew where the office was, so I found her. Shawnta was nice. She did not talk much, so it was a nice sweet and short closing. My daughter received her certificate the same day and we were on our way. Next is her license test. Pray for her! read more

I am so grateful to all of them for their thoroughness and care with my daughter. Our instructor for the last lesson, David Avalos was beyond exceptional. My daughter Danielle absolutely loved him, she said he was patient, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He spoke to me once they returned from the lesson and absolutely wowed me. The stars are ONLY for the kind staff member who did my paperwork. The process itself was fairly painless. However, the road test course and the car I used were abysmal. The cars on the website are kia souls, which is what I thought I would drive in, but I was given a very small compact car with extremely hard brakes (barely tap them and they slam) and very poor acceleration (instructor told me to go faster for one part but my pedal was on the floor!). I was told I could not get a feel for the car before the test, even though I said it was way different from what I was used to. The course the road test takes place was horrible; I can understand the cars in the road, but nearly all of the stopsigns were placed far back with bushes and fences that obscured the view of the roads. I was docked off way too many points despite coming to a complete stop at the stop sign because I then went forward slowly just a bit to be able to SEE the oncoming traffic. I could not physically see the through road in front of us past the fences and overgrown plants. One time there had been a car right there, and if I turned like the instructor said, I would have wrecked us. I am grateful I barely passed but I feel like there are so many things that could have gone way better for the road test itself. Driving isn't perfect, but docking off points for attempting to be safe, even if it is what is on paper, does not seem fair. Not sure if worth the $60 just because of the course and that car alone. read more

This place looks old. I see that they do drivers tests. But I came for an I-9 Form Verification and it went by fast. The materials they used looked outdated. I took three driving lessons and my road test here (I took the bundle package) and I will say it was definitely worth it. my first lesson I had Mario as an instructor, however he was a bit complicated to work with and didn't inform me on things thats my second instructor had to teach me. Bill was my second instructor and he was great, extremely patient and helpful. He gave me many useful notes to prepare me for my route test. my last instructor was Shayne and he was also a really great instructor and made me feel confident for my road test. I took a "Driving under 25" Class here the other day. The building is pretty big but the waiting room, chairs, classroom, and hallway were all kinda dingy, old and smelly. I mean, I didn't expect it to be fancy but I couldn't handle the smell. The professor was punctual, knowledgeable, nice, and helpful. The class was very interesting and so were the people inside. Lets just say this is my first class that I actually stayed awake for the entire time. The United Safety Council offers a wide array of courses and training for: -Occupational Safety -Motorcycle Endorsement -First Time Driver -Traffic Tickets -Driver Education -First Aid/CPR -Court ordered classes Taking certain classes here could even lower your insurance. I have left several messages, emailed...tried to register on the website but it only allows testing in Melbourne. The only good thing about this place is the nice people who give the driving lessons, but other than that, this place is a disorganized mess. We purchased a package of driving lessons, which included the test to actually get your driver's license. A week before that exam, I called and left a message asking if we would leave the driving exam (provided my child passed) with an actual driver's license. I asked repeatedly to please call me back (you can't speak to a human) and let me know the answer to this, because if I needed to go to the DMV, I would need to make an appt at the DMV. No one called me back and never once is it written or did anyone ever tell us that they give the driving test only and you still have to go to the DMV to get the actual license. So we take the test, pass, and are told "you can probably walk in at the DMV." You CAN NOT walk in and now no availabilities for 2 weeks. Extremely misleading and frustrating. My child is crushed because she thought she was getting her license today. If someone at Florida Safety Council had done their job and returned a customer's call, this would have been solved. This place is impossible to get in contact with. I made an appointment online, but after scheduling it and paying the $60 I realized it was scheduled for the wrong date. I have called multiple times to get it fixed, and left voicemail after voicemail but have yet to speak to an actual person. I've even tried emailing to no avail. At this point, I've already scheduled a road test with the actual DMV and no longer need their services but I still can't get anyone to respond to me to cancel the appointment. Do not, under any circumstances, take their online mature driver course--despite its cheap price and sponsorship by Geico!!!!!!!! The web site first failed to process registration information entered twice. A phone call yielded a full mailbox, though an email finally elicited telephone registration. Then, it required a ton of personal-though-unused information to be registered online--creating an identity theft risk. While the videos are helpful, the text was extremely hard to read online, and exam questions were technical and statistical. Some required knowledge of information not even contained in text material. Some made no sense and were largely irrelevant for mature drivers. The course had virtually no information on new car safety features--information mature drivers sure could use! Take it from a 70 year-old who never achieved less than a B-plus on virtually any exam in her life until this final exam, this course was a major time-waster, of little value, and incredibly demeaning to seniors! Although the state requires this to be a six-hour course, expect the note-taking and memorization of minutia required to pass this organization's final exam-- necessary for an auto insurance discount--to add at least another 4-6 hours! This course is not worth the money savings on car insurance and Geico should be ashamed to be associated with it! read more

I had to take a class here and this place location its a bit uncomfortable but parking is provided. The place its well organized and the class was fun and very informative and educational. The instructor called Morris and short for Moe its super cool. He is a tough instructor dont underestimate him because if you get late to class and you dont comply with the regulations of the class he wont be very happy but if you do everything the class requires including participating and responsibility he can be a breeze. Bathrooms do need to be more sanitized but thats the cleaning contract services they are not doing their job. read more
