My husband was helping me look for a driving school & he found Eddie. I have to say it was the best desicion ever!! I had been practicing driving with my husband and we were making slow improvements but we needed to find a way for me to getrrid of the fear of driving, because in FL driving is a MUST. After my first lesson with Eddie somehow I gained confidence driving in the Orlando traffic. Eddie is an amazing instructor, he is organized, he is funny, he points out what is your weakness AND will help you and show you how to fix it. I was very honest with him as well and would tell him "this scares me" or "how do you this?" what can I do in this situation? " and so on. He was so helpful he helped me overcome the fear of being in heavy traffic. By my 2nd lesson, surprisingly I was driving on the i4 for a short distance and it was a big confidence boost, because I saw I could do it. He does make it fun, which helps so much to take things calm, especially when you're scared and nervous about driving. After my 6th lesson we booked an appointment and I got my license. My daughter took a couple of classes with Eddie before she took her driving test today, and i have to say that i would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a competent driving instructor.He is reliable, professional, punctual and never had a problem scheduling classes at my convenience. She took five classes from him and saved the last one for the day before her driving test. She was not a road expert in those five classes but knew enough so that i could take her out in my car and continue the learning process. It took her a good year behind the wheel, with me guiding her before she took the road test. My daughter enjoyed his teaching style and was happy to take classes from him. I am not sure what problem the 1 on 5 reviewer had with him, but i can vouch that this is a bizarre review based on my experience with him. My grandmother hired Edwin for me for some lessons since I had my driving test coming up. And from the minute I met him on my first lesson, to coming back home after passing my test, I had a blast! He's a true and honest, caring instructor that cares and wants you to pass, which really can increase motivation behind the wheel since you know that someone is motivating you to do your best and truly cares about you passing and overall becoming a better driver. He taught me everything I needed to know and nicely corrected my mistakes when they were made. He can also bring a laugh here and there which can bring the energy up so you'll have fun while learning how to drive and pass your test! Communication is good and scheduling is easy so you wont have a hard time scheduling. Road Ready Watchdog Driving School was an excellent choice for our son's driving lessons. His instructor, Edwin, has been a driving instructor for 22 years (prior to driving instructor he was a New York police officer). His experience and credentials made me feel safe putting my son in his hands. Edwin is ready to take all the time you need and answer all questions before getting started. No rushing or pressure of the clock ticking. He gives a full report upon returning from each lesson with instructions to practice before the next lesson. Even after the lessons are complete he is there to help you with whatever you might need. We needed another certificate of completion a year and a half later. I had a quite challenging time trying to teach my son to drive, to say the least. Within 2-3 minutes of speaking with Eddie by phone, I knew he was right for us. My son really enjoyed his lessons. I had been driving a standard transmission car for 15 years before I moved to Florida. Eddie helped me understand the basics of driving an automatic car in only four lessons, which, probably, wasn't easy for him. His teaching methods are effective (he doesn't waste his compliments, but when you earn them, you get them, he takes you to I4 and tries to teach you the best way of handling different situations, even road rage). The time you spend behind the wheel with him is always well spent because you learn and practice what you need for the road test but also for driving after you pass the road test. I passed on my first try with a perfect score and I felt confident and relaxed while I was doing it, which says a lot about Eddie's teaching skills. read more

AMAZING!! Eddie is the best instructor my kids had. First he taught my daughter to drive some years ago and helped her to be confident on the wheel (she was scared to drive, still does not like it but is very good about it because of Eddie. Last year I contacted him to trained my 15 year old son who had the best experience as first time driver with Eddie. Eddie is patience, and very knowledgeable in how to teach new drivers to get confident behind the wheel. I passed my test and earned my license the other day, thanks to the wonderful service provided by this driving school and the instructor. My course was six lessons over a week consisting of practice on the road and highway, while learning road signs and essential maneuvers. Not sure what the previous reviewer is talking about, but there is no possible way it can be true. Eddie taught all 3 of my children how to drive and I have never got that impression about him. He was friendly, kind hearted, and very knowledgeable about teaching. Not to mention he is a family man first and foremost! He's got years of experience doing this and it shows in the way he teaches! I recommended all my friends with young teens to Eddie and so far they've all had rave reviews of him, much like my family did! Eddie is absolute best! I had a fear of driving and he made me feel at ease, while also making the lessons fun. Unlike other teachers, he actually walked me through each maneuver, made corrections during the lesson, and told me what I needed to work on afterwards. Years ago I had really bad driving anxiety, I would practice with my dad here and there. But the anxiety kept me from getting on the road because I wasnt confident. After finding this Driving School, Eddie really put my anxiety to ease. He is such a down to earth guy, knows how to lighten the mood with jokes, but also knows when to get down to business. I used this service for both of my kids. I had 2 very nervous future drivers that I was having trouble teaching. I tried myself for 2 years in a parking lot. I was terrible at teaching and made the kids nervous. We decided to try this service to see if they could help. He was incredible! He really got through to them.
