When the pandemic hit, we knew it would be an indication of dedication as to why businesses would step up and answer the call to challenge and diversity or cave to the many existing pressures. The Star team chose to rise up and answer the call, bringing along with them a group of like-minded students. What came out of it was an even stronger team who demonstrated the life skills they taught: respect, discipline, communication & confidence. This weekend our daughter became one of the youngest black belts and has enjoyed being a student and now leader at Star. We can't say enough about Masters Mr. & Mrs. Birky, Ms. Torres, Mr. Cooper, Ms. E & C Gallegos, Mr. Schoettmer, Mr. Hartman & Mr. Hawkins along with all the other instructors who are learning to lead and assist in classes or who may no longer be at Star. You are an extraordinary team with life long goals both meaningful and purposeful. We appreciate the practice and effort you've given us, and as newly signed-up parents, we are now looking forward to our journey to black belt as well. The facility is amazing with so much to offer, including daycare! They even allow you early access to the facility an hour before business is open, and late access until midnight, even though the main part of the facility closes at 9pm. With a member key card you can continue to work out on the machines, track, and free weights until Midnight. They have a plethora of classes going all the time including spin class, Pilates, and my absolute favorite workout... Cardio Drumming!!! Mostly I have been using the Pool and have made some great friends with regulars. If I do nothing else, I at least do the pool. There is a 4 lane lap pool, a therapy pool, and a large hot tub. They even have water aerobics classes. There is literally something her for everyone! The atmosphere is chill and inviting with a sense of acceptance for everyone. I have seen people using walkers, canes, and wheelchairs to navigate the facility, and the services provided, and... that includes the pool area. They are very equipped for disabilities and special needs of all types. The cost of Membership is right on point for what they offer. Did I mention there's a complementary coffee and tea bar, dining area, and they even have nutritious meals you can opt to purchase. No cash on hand - no problems you can add it to your tab.

I loved the lady who was at reception, helping me sign my son up. I was sold with all the medals…read morethey won and all the things they teach the students. So my son is a beginner and they were made aware of this and said he could join in with the rest of the students. He doesn't know the basics and they throw him in with all these tournament kids. The instructor showed the group how to do these advanced moves only once and he made the kids partner up to practice it. The kid that was partnered with my son was frustrated because he wasn't doing it right. My son was frustrated and upset because he didn't know exactly what to do. I don't blame the child, he's not a teacher. I blame the instructor. I watched all this happen and I was LIVID. Do not take your child here if they are not experienced. My son was dealing with confidence issues as is, and this made it worse. Thanks alot!
