New year, new me, right? I went to Flow Fitness for my first ever fitness class to do HIIT on Friday evening for their free community classes happening all January 2024. I was extremely pleased with everything about Flow, from the clean space, free lockers and shoe rentals (I've seen other places charge $2-3 per rental!) and towels, bathroom cleanliness and amenities, free wifi, free parking (don't forget to get a sticker for your car), extremely supportive and friendly staff, and energetic teachers. I had such a wonderful time attending, and I was incredibly nervous about it since I almost never exercise. Even though the class was structured, they let us know it was okay to go at our own pace, and provided guidance on how to improve our form. Other than HIIT, they also offer indoor cycling, barre, yoga, and more. They also have standard gym equipment so you can just work out without classes too! They also offer a new member special $30 for 30 days and a 1 week free trial pass. I would definitely recommend checking out this locally-owned, small business for your fitness needs! I signed up for the 14 day trial and although I chose to not continue to a full membership, I wanted to give a good review. All the staff members are kind and welcoming, the gym and locker rooms are clean and organized. I only made it to one class but it was a yoga class which was equally clean, organized, and structured. I had an issue with billing, so I emailed the flow fitness membership team. They got back to me quickly (less than 2 days) and fixed the issue right away with no problem. I use this gym through ClassPass. It has everything I could possibly need for a good workout and really isn't ever annoyingly busy. They do have classes offered as well. Hours are great. There is a parking lot next to the building with a few spots (and they give you a free pass). Spots are hit or miss there, but they do have an overflow lot a block away and street parking isn't terrible a few blocks past the PCC Market. Front desk staff are always friendly. Bathrooms are stocked with all things needed after a workout (showers, supplies, etc.) and are always very clean. read more

I love both Seattle locations of Flow Fitness! I signed up for the 30 days for $30. I attended 12 days that first month and have now joined. I have attended over 14 classes with 7 different instructors. Every instructor is AWESOME! I needed low-impact variations, and every instructor was right on top of providing variations throughout the class, so I didn't have to bother with the flow of the class to get the workout that fits my body. Came here for a spinning class with ClassPass. The gym is not huge, but not too busy on a weekday evening. They have lots of classes (spinning, bootcamp, yoga) and lots of availability for them. Big locker rooms with showers, free lockers, etc. Parking in the area can kind of be a nightmare, but they do have a few spots in the lot (and you get a parking pass from them for free). read more

I'd never taken a bootcamp class prior to coming to Flow. I didn't know what to expect but it was SO fun. The instructor was very helpful and made all of the moves simple to understand. I'm not usually into group fitness classes, but I'd definitely go back. Be ready to sweat a ton, but the 50 minute class flies by because it is such a good time. :) read more

I absolutely LOVE this gym. Their lockers/showers are really the best I've experienced in Seattle - they keep it really clean and everything is always stocked. The grassy area in the gym is awesome. I do a majority of my workouts there and also in the barre room when there aren't classes. Also they have some great weight options to workout those glutes! I love how many kettlebells and free weights they have in the space. The front-desk people are super nice and I never feel like I'm bothering them when I ask a question What would make this gym COMPLETE: if they had a sauna, 1 more stair stepper (they only have 1 and it gets used a lot), and if they had like 1-2 normal treadmills. I totally understand the benefits of using the treadmills they have, but when you aren't coordinated like me, it would be nice to have a treadmill where I didn't feel like my mind was focusing on not tripping lol :p Again, I absolutely LOVE this gym. I walk in with a big smile on my face out of sheer excitement and love for the place. Unfortunately I had to cancel my membership because it's a little too pricy for me - I'm a student so that $100 a month isn't doable for me at this time, but maybe someday I'll be back! read more

I'm hesitant to write a review for this place, only because I want to keep it all to myself so badly. This gym is AMAZING. Highlights: - Huge facility: separate barre, yoga, and stadium cycle rooms in addition to excellent and spacious weight training areas - Beautiful changing rooms (showers, towel service, hairties/shampoo/conditioner/feminine products all available for free) - The front desk staff always take the extra effort to memorize your names and graciously greet you - For those with little ones, they offer kid's yoga/dance classes so you can get a work out in while your kids are moving about! The biggest highlight is the small strength training classes they offer (4 free with your first month of membership!). These classes helped me get more confident in the weight training area of the gym. Mack, Andrew, and Erin are all wonderful and experienced trainers who are there to help and support you in your endeavors. The cherry on top of the cake? It's across the street from my work. :) I am so excited to be a long-term member here. It's well worth the price for a state-of-the-art gym! Pro tip: the parking right next door to this place is actually free for Flow Fitness. You just have to get a little sticker on your door. The spin class here was probably the worst I had ever taken. The music was slow, not up beat at all, and it didn't get the class hyped up in the slightest. It was a little weird. Like, I actually felt awkward in the class. And the music would stop and not start for a couple seconds and we were just riding in silence. I understand switching songs, but this spin class was just a zero for me... The facility looks extremely nice though. Just don't take a spin class. read more

I checked out their Team Conditioning class, on a Saturday morning and it was a good way to get my day started. I definitely recommend having some fuel in your body before this class, since it is a challenging class. BUT, I don't regret anything I did in that class-- the class got me high in energy the rest of the day, and sore the next day. But the sore feeling was the best post-workout feel! The instructor was really demonstrative, attentive, and motivating in his words and instructions. He was giving each member attention and making sure everyone was able to work their best and hardest, in the best form. It was my first time doing something like this-- boot-camp style at a gym, and it was a really good fun, enjoyable experience! The facility was really clean, well-organized, the staff was great, and the bathrooms were amazing. Plenty of towels, hair ties/bobby pins, and a water filter. read more

Not only do they have the latest, up to date equipment (including Keiser machines, Trueform Runners, Prowlers, and more), they also have a knowledgable staff who are experts at what they do. Did I mention they have classes too? Yoga, Pilates and even an amazing spin studio (if you haven't seen it yet, you must check it out). Plus a turf with every kettlebell you can imagine as well as Airdyne bikes, Rowers and a Ski Erg. The hours are amazing, theres parking available mornings and evenings, and its easy to access from anywhere in Fremont. If you want to pop out to the Burke Gilman trail for a short walk after your workout, it's right across the street. Flow Fitness is what Seattle has needed for so long. This isn't your commercial, globo gym. If you're serious about your training/workouts and want results, this is the place to go. Oh yeah - they have towel service, lockers with built in locks, showers, and a lounge area. Shall I go on? Step your game up. Flow fitness Fremont is a great facility! I was a little skeptical when I walked in and it was in the basement (I loathe low ceilings when working out), but the gym is extremely spacious with like 15 foot ceilings. Plenty airy. I took a strength conditioning class through class pass. I believe the coaches name was Christian. There were only 4 of us in the gym for the 930AM Monday class, and the gym was pretty much empty otherwise. They do only have 3 parking spaces during normal work day hours, but theres about 8 more before 8am and after 530pm or son as well as on weekends. The gym has a very brand new feel, and Christian did a great job leading us through the class routine. Easy format to follow, and moves along quickly. All in all, I really like this place and will inquire about a membership (as all classes are included)! read more

What a great spot! I've been in and out of various gyms (regular, CrossFit, and boutique studios like OrangeTheory) for the better part of the last 15 years, and Flow Fitness Fremont is TOPS. If you're looking for lots of room for your workouts, barbells and bumper plates, free weights, turf, prowler sleds, kettlebells, Assault treadmills and bikes, rowers, pristine facilities, and friendly staff, then this is the place for you. Of course, this set-up isn't for everyone - those who are looking for motorized treadmills or a bunch of weight machines will not find what they are looking for...just something to keep in mind. The location itself couldn't get any better and is in a very walkable area of downtown Fremont right by the Fremont bridge. If you're driving, there are a few dedicated parking spots for Flow in the lot next door which makes getting in and out super convenient. The only drawback is that I didn't join earlier! read more

I LOVE Flow Fitness. As a former professional runner for Nike, it is the gym I would have designed for myself! I love having classes that are of the quality of a boutique studio AND a gym that is like a NCAA Division 1 weight room all in one place. The team conditioning workouts are solid. Also, the team conditioning classes are non-intimidating to beginners but are also challenging to experienced gym-goers. Lastly, the culture is right. This gym is exceptionally clean. I signed up for the month trial and thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the cycling classes. All the classes I attended were well run and the staff was friendly. The other members seemed respectful putting away weights and cleaning after themselves. The lockers have built in locks that you enter a code that make it easy to store your belongings. I'm subtracting a star because I believe the place is a bit overpriced and not diversified in its membership offerings regarding class number. Otherwise a good gym. read more

This is one of the best gyms that I've ever been a member of after living both here in Seattle as well as San Francisco. If you're looking for a neighborhood gym that is of top quality, this is it! What has really impressed me is how they've also done a tremendous job of keeping the gym safe and clean particularly during this Covid Time period. I can imagine there are a lot of reluctant people deciding whether or not to head to the gym, trust me, I was one of those people. I love the boutique nature of the gym and the fact that there is a variety of classes so you aren't pigeonholed into just spin or just yoga. All the instructors are very encouraging and make sure the classes strike a good balance between motivating and difficult, but also amenable to different fitness levels, injuries, or limitations. I feel comfortable walking into a new type of exercise or working with a new instructor which is not the cases in all gyms. read more

I love this gym sooo much! The Barre and cycling classes are all I've been doing and they are great with motivating, cheerful coaches/teachers. The clientele are nice, friendly people. I always leave there in a good mood. Very easy to get to via bus(40, 62, 32, 31) Free Parking is available as well. Ive been a member at OAC in Ballard, SMB in Fremont, and EAC in Wallingford.
