I worked with the lovely proprietress at the hotel in which they were due to stay and she recommended Blooms. I then called them a few days prior to the special day and Alan worked with me to send my sis a perfect bouquet. On the day they were due to arrive, I received an e-mail from my sweet sis and a posting on Facebook with pictures of a stunningly pretty bouquet, a lovely card with the exact wording I suggested, all waiting for her when she arrived to the lovely Arbutus hotel in Killarney! My telephone call early one morning with Alan at Blooms all the way from America to Ireland was absolutely fabulous. He treated me as though I had been a customer for years, assured me he would take good care of everything and then did exactly what he promised. Let me tell you - I have ordered flowers to be delivered 5 miles from me, from florists in my own city in California and have never had the service I experienced with Blooms, which is across the world from where I sit now! Alan's professionalism, gentle kindness and commitment to excellence makes me want to board a plane with my Husband next week to travel to Ireland, make our way to Killarney and take Alan to lunch! The shopkeeper was absolutely charming--helpful, kind, and genuinely welcoming. She chatted with my daughter and me while helping us find exactly what we were looking for. Earlier that day, I had seen a sweater I loved at one of the woolen mills, but they didn't have my size. Shades of Erin had it, and the shopkeeper even helped me try it on. The prices were better than those at other stores we visited, and the selection felt thoughtfully curated. My daughter found a sweatshirt she loved, but they didn't have the right size in stock. Without hesitation, the shopkeeper popped down to their other store to check and ended up finding the perfect one for her. This shop provided one of my favorite memories of our trip to Ireland. I highly recommend stopping in.

They have a guinness section with guinness apparel. I would recommend holding off on buying these things because I was able to find these same items marked at a lower price elsewhere. They take the VAT card here so you can avoid all the paperwork when it comes to take care of the Tax Free stuff at the airport.

After a couple visits to and weeks spent in Ireland, I decided it was one of the better places I came across to buy higher-end, traditional, non-touristy souvenirs and gifts. Many items for sale in the craft shop are made on-site by traditional artisans. Beautiful weaving such as scarves, sweaters, wraps, hats, and gloves in gorgeous colors and soft fabrics. Pottery in the traditional Mucros style with its distinct coloring and markings: platters, creamers, mugs, bowls, candlesticks. Also offered in the Craft Shop are coffee table books, jewelry, children's toys, traditional Irish fare, Irish music...you can find yourself a souvenir to treasure as well as gifts to bring home that are sure to be well-received by loved ones. Tim has a great personality and was very encouraging to insure that the finished product, done by your own hands, comes out perfectly. We stopped in this gem (no pun intended) in late August of 2023 and bought our adult daughter a…read morering. (We had looked at some other places during our travels, including high-end places in town.) When we walked in, we felt that "something special." We found exactly what we had envisioned and purchased a ring for her. When we gave it to her after returning to "the states" we couldn't have given her a better gift!
