Our experience working with Flowers Flooring was excellent. My husband and I purchased our home three years ago. The previous owners had renovated/upgraded the entire house....except the kitchen. They chose a cheap peel-n-stick flooring that looked okay for maybe the first week we lived here. After that it started to pop up and simply looked dirty (even after being scrubbed). It took us three years, but we finally "bit the bullet" and started researching local flooring companies. The first quotes we received from competitors were absurdly high. We decided to give the Flowers Flooring folks a call and it was the best decision we could have made! We felt comfortable with them through the entire process. We called to set up our in-home consultation and have them an idea of what we were looking for. Andrew came out to measure our space, show us some samples, and discuss the general process with us. We liked the samples, but we thought it would be best to check out the showroom in case there was a tile we liked better. I'm glad we did! Catie was fantastic and showed us a variety of options based on our preferences and preferred price range. We actually went with one of the tiles SHE chose and not one that Andrew brought or that we had originally chose. She has a great eye! From there Catie provided us with an estimate based on our chosen tile and the measurements Andrew had taken. We paid our deposit and then in steps Renee. Renee is the master of schedules :) She coordinates a date and time that worked for us, answered any follow up questions we had, and was our general point of contact until the project was completed. The install team of Valentin, his brother, and another fellow also exceeded our expectations. They were able to move us up a day on their schedule, they showed up ON TIME, worked efficiently, and left our kitchen completely spotless. Seriously....I can't emphasize how much we enjoyed watching them work. They were so meticulous we couldn't help but peek in every now and then just out of curiosity. They're like a well-oiled machine. I told Valentin multiple times that we WILL be requesting him and the guys to be the team to install our backsplash once we pick out a tile. Avoid this business like the plague!!!! You won't believe how much of a nightmare my experience has been with them. So it starts back in May 2023. We put a deposit of $18,500 down to have Flowers Flooring install our laminate floors. After one month of delays, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps business is good and they're schedule is full. So I didn't complain. I stayed patient. But then, one more month passed, and so I reached out and began expressing my frustration with how long it has taken. They reassured me and promised the job would get done. But then, after a couple of more weeks of silence, we ended up hiring another company to do the job. Flowers Flooring said they would issue a full refund and that it would take up to 30 days to process. After about 40 days, I reached out to them asking what the status of the refund was. After all, $18,500 is a lot of money. But, after 2-3 days, we didn't get any response from Flowers. We even tried reaching out directly to the owner, and can you guess what happened? That's right, nothing. Radio silence. And so after 3 months of delays, 48 days of silence after requesting a refund, and a lot of frustration, we decided to escalate matters and reach out to our credit card company to file a dispute. Our credit card company gave us a provisional credit of $18,500 and is looking into the matter as we speak. Folks, I know there are a lot of you out there who are owed money from this criminal company. If you paid with a credit card, you are legally protected by the Fair Credit Billing Act of 1974. Open a case and get your money back! Even if you didn't pay with a credit card, contact your bank and open a dispute! We work too hard for our money to have dishonest people steal from us. read more

My first experience using Flowers Flooring went smooth, I replaced the flooring in my master bathroom. So I placed a second order with them ordering the same flooring I had installed in my master bedroom for my guess bathroom. A month after I placed my order I reach out then them to check the status and was told I need to cancel my order due to Mohawk has production issues. I have yet to receive my refund from my cancellation. I don't understand why they even told my order if they knew Theo was an issue. There was no issue a month earlier when I ordered for my master bathroom. Andrew Gover should not be in a customer service roll. Once he makes a sale he avoids following up or providing any updates on your order. Teresa (a manager) is just like Andrew, no customer service skills at all! Flowers installed our floor and our backsplash- the flooring team was fast and really did a good job. Katie assisted me in the store with products. She was great and patient! I think the 3 stars really came from the tile install. I wish the person that came to measure made some suggestions around design and tile needs. I am new to the 'tile game' so I didn't know about the top cap on the backsplash and he didn't ask about it, nor did the person in flowers showroom when I tile shopped. The installers were fast but not the most detail oriented or quality. We had a few concerns and grout cracking a few days after they finished so flowers had to send someone back out. We have had the backsplash for a few months now and the grout is def having some memo or issues. read more

Do not hire this company. We paid almost $4,000 as a deposit for a floor in January. They continuously told us the floor we ordered was not in stock. Finally, in May, we canceled the order. Oddly enough, we worked with another local company, and our floors and stairs were done in less than 3 weeks with the exact same products we requested from Flowers. Flowers said in May they would give us a refund. They had no intention of refunding our money. They did not answer email inquiries. It is almost September. We have filed complaints with the BBB and the NC Attorney General's office. It feels like fraud, especially with everything, including the promise of a prompt refund in writing. read more

They were in and out in a few days, laying new floor in two rooms and refinishing the entire first floor. Came out great. They quoted us 3-4 weeks first of March on delivery of tile. When they finally came to install at the end of June they had ordered the wrong tile. Told us the tile we ordered was in stock in Savannah, GA so it would take about two weeks. They called to schedule installation for 7/31 finally. Called the Friday before to cancel since tile did not arrive. Five months later the project has not been completed. Manager approved cancellation and refund but when I check status of refund they will not respond. Not the only person this has happened to according to reviews. read more

I had scheduled a carpet installation about a month ago. In order to save money, my husband and I would move everything out of the rooms. We fulfilled all of our obligations including paying the balance the day before the installation was scheduled. I even called the day before since I had heard nothing from the company to confirm. I was advised that I was on the books and that I should have received an email or text confirming the appointment. I received neither. On the day the installation was to take place, I waited until 10 am and no one showed up. I called Flowers Flooring and was advised the installer had a family emergency. Yet, no one bothered to call me. I found out when I called to find out why they were a no-show. I was told the soonest they could get me on the schedule was the following Monday, which is 5 days after the fact. Maybe they can get it done on Saturday, so I guess I will have to cancel a standing volunteer commitment. I have not heard anything more about that option. I took two days off work to prep the house for the installation and to be home to take care of the dogs and be available for any issues or questions. I spent a day moving everything out of the rooms. I have furniture in every nook and cranny in our house. I even had a chair and coffee table on my front lawn. My dogs' schedule was disrupted and my husband, who works nights, slept on an air mattress in the basement. Now, I get to choose to spend the next 5 days with my house in disarray or move everything back to its place only to have to move it out again. My mistake was not asking whether their installers were in-house or contractors. I find the lack of a contingency plan or urgency in getting this rectified beyond unprofessional. We are deserving of some type of reparation to compensate for this huge inconvenience. I am not sure I believe there was a family emergency, but if it is true, I hope everyone is okay. read more

Short recap: Signed flooring contract March 1st. We were told it would take 3-4 weeks. 3 months later we have had no updates and have had to constantly call to get any info on status of carpet. June 14th was installation date and we were called 1.5 hours into arrival window that carpet had no arrived on delivery truck 2 days prior. Zero communication from anyone at this company unless we have called multiple times a day. Be very wary if you choose to use them. We found Flowers Flooring online and saw their many wonderful reviews. We first went to the store at the end of February 2023. Our store experience was wonderful. We talked with Andrew who was more than helpful. We took home a few samples on March 1st we signed our contract. This is when things went downhill. We were originally told that our carpet would take 3-4 weeks to come in and then 1-2 weeks after to be installed. Fast forward 13 weeks (May 31st) and we have had NO update. We have called the store 3 times. Each time they say they are going to check the status of our carpet and give us a call back but never follow through with the call back. May 31st I called and spoke with Andrew who told me once again that he would call and check on the status and give me a call back by the end of the day. At 5:30 when I had not heard back I called again and he told me that my carpet was in route to the store and I would get a call from the install coordinator within the next week. I heard from the install coordinator the next day and we scheduled to have the carpet installed on June 14th with an arrival time between 8am and 10am. June 14th (a Wednesday) at 9:30am we received a phone call that when the delivery truck arrived Monday our carpet was not on board. We were not made aware of this Monday or Tuesday but only an hour and a half into our arrival window on June 14th. We rescheduled for June 21st. On June 19th, we called the store and spoke to Andrew. He assured us that he would check if our carpet was on the delivery truck and give us a call back by the end of the day. At 5:30 we hadn't heard anything so we called back 3 times with no response. Andrew finally called us back and told us that he wasn't sure if our carpet was on the delivery truck and because he didn't really have an update he (verbatim) "didn't get around to calling us back". June 20th we heard from the install coordinator that they had eyes on 107 feet out of 141 feet of our carpet and the other 34 sheet should be arriving by that evening. Luckily, all our carpet did arrive and was installed on June 21st. The install team (a 3rd party company) was wonderful! We completely understand that things go on back order and get delayed. However, we are beyond frustrated with the lack of communication from the store. It's very unprofessional that the only updates we received after 3 months are ones that we have had to chase down ourselves. We had originally planned to use Flowers Flooring in 2024 when we replace our hardwoods however we will 100% be looking for a new company to do that. I would never recommend this company to anyone and I would be very wary of using them yourself. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Flowers flooring. We purchased a kitchen backsplash and new luxury vinyl plank flooring for throughout our home. (Kept carpet in bedrooms) We had a good experience with our sales person who was young and new, I had to keep asking for other options. Steve, the estimator did a thorough job and shared detailed drawings so we could make sure every closet and cranny was covered. The backsplash installation by Stenio was amazing! He was polite, respectful of our home and his attention to detail, making sure everything' was centered and level was commendable. The floor installation went very smoothly as well. Everyone was on schedule and delivered as promised. Renee called at the completion of each installation to confirm our satisfaction. We had Flowers Flooring install red oak select hardwood flooring and also do the stain and finish. They did an excellent job. My wife is very happy with the finished floors. They started the job when they said they would and were finished in about 2 weeks installing about 1500 sq. ft of flooring (I had already installed about another 1500 sq. ft. until my wife fired me). The crew showed up on time and working their fannies off until 5 pm every day. They also helped with moving furniture and removing the old carpet. The stain and finish are beautiful. I ordered floors from Flowers back in February, to be installed mid March. The floors supposedly were delivered (damaged) mid June, reordered, and the 2nd shipment came in from 2 different dye lots. They supposedly ordered a third time, then I started seeing people online talking about how they're not at the store, not answering calls, so I went by myself. The place was dark, and they weren't answering my phone call or emails. A few days later, I received a letter cancelling my contract, stating they would refund me within 30 days. I waited 7 months and no floors. The same day that I received that letter, I reached out to Floor Coverings International. They sent Ryan out the next day (Friday, 8/11) with samples and to measure. We went to the showroom that weekend and picked out a floor, we're under contract 8/14, and since the floors we ordered were in stock, they were delivered 8/18 and installed last week. They are beautiful! The installers did such a great job, worked clean, and were really friendly. I highly recommend Floor Coverings International for anyone still waiting on floors from flowers. Judging by the reviews the good customer service others are speaking of seems to be coming from in person sales, installers, or just any employee not named MARLIN. The phone sales representative MARLIN ran us away with her unprofessional attitude. We called for a quote and was immediately thrown by her "blah" tone. After about 2 days she left a message saying she had the numbers. We called her back the same day, then the next. Finally, when we actually got to her she said she threw away the numbers because she "didn't think she'd ever hear back." (Huh?!) She went on to say that, "people always request quotes and they don't follow up." (Okay? Why are you telling me this?) She said she would need the details of the floor we were looking for again. After about a minute of going through some phone notes she huffed and said we should just call back. We told her that wasn't necessary. We found the details and gave them. She said she would call back when she had the quotes prepared; she wouldn't give an ETA. Two days passed so we called to follow up. With her usual ho-hum tone she expressed her annoyance by our call by informing us that today was her off day and that we'd have to wait until her call. I don't wish to have anymore gaslit exchanges with MARLIN and I certainly don't want to further inconvenience her so we decided to take our business elsewhere. read more

We used this company after a friend's recommendation. The whole process was hassle free. This was the first time we had replaced floors and were mostly clueless. Brian made sure we got exactly what we wanted. We replaced carpet and had new flooring installed. Both install crews were exemplary. First the carpet installation crew came in and completed the upstairs install in a day (approx 1900 sqft) Polite, no issues at all. Then the following week the downstairs new floor install took place. The flooring crew took 2 days (approx 1500 sqft). Very professional, courteous and flawless!. Still unsure about our experience. When I first visited, the sales person was great and friendly. He answered all of my questions and gave me great advice on the type of carpet I needed for our new home. We live on a farm so it was important to have something that cleaned easily and/or stood up to the heavy traffic of what came and went on a farm. I have positive and some negative in regards to our experience. The first meet & greet was great. The person that stopped in and did the measuring, not so great & really wasn't up for answering any questions we had, this could have just been his personality. The carpet came in but it seems the scheduling went off road. Our sales person had a hard time remembering details about our specific order, he had a hard time answering questions and seemed to forget us the moment we decided on a product, we definitely felt as if we were greeted, sold, and forgotten. The person that was going to come out and measure was supposed to be given samples of a wood floor product so we could get advice on additional flooring but when he showed he knew nothing about it. We did get the new carpet in and the brand/manufacturer is amazing! The additional flooring we will be doing this year will most likely be done by another company since we were forgotten the moment we were sold the first go around. We have a lot of upgrades and another home to build so it's important to us that we build a relationship with a company that we can keep coming back to. read more

This is the worst experience we have ever had. The installers parked on a steep driveway even though our contractor told them not to. The car came out of park and flew down the driveway and leveled our brand new car and pushed it 20 feet through a fence. We called the owner 3 times and it took 3 days for Jeremy to finally call us back only after our contractor told him he needed to call us back. He was super rude and just said insurance will take care of it and would not do anything for us. Now our week old brand new car has a crash on its record and he offered us nothing as compensation and was very combative. The car could not be totally fixed and now the gas cap is off center. When we mentioned that this was negligence Jeremy got combative and hung up. Luckily our kids or people working on our house were not in the driveway because they would have been killed!! read more

The showroom experience was great, their pricing was better than 2 other quotes we received, and the installation couldn't have gone better. We were told of on install that it would take 4 or 5 days total to complete job. It took 6 days because installer worked by himself 2 of the 6 days (1 day just 4 hrs.). The reason on those 2 days one of the two installers was out. The one installer couldn't move any furniture even with my help, they refused. Flowers didn't have a back up plan for this in case someone is out. On the first day of install the flooring went down in our Den and I noticed defects in the wood. I stopped them and asked for their Supervisor to come out. He explained that they have had issues with this wood before. When we bought it, we were never told of any issues this wood. This Supervisor told his installers NOT to use any of the defective wood. But during the total install there are places where is was installed. They plugged these defects with colored match pudding. After finishing install, we had a lot of flooring left over. I asked about why there was so much and as of 01/09/21, no answer. We waited 1.5 months to save up money to do this install and we will feel that it was a let down on our experience with Flowers Flooring. Their lack of coverage to get our install down in a timely matter was the main concern. We even offered to use New Year's Day as day to help. They refused. Installer texted us at 10:18 am that morning that they were not coming. These are reasons for not recommending them. read more

This has been one of the worst experiences. Flowers Flooring has left my bamboo flooring with wet oily spots and residue on the entire flooring. There are also scratches where the crew person moved chairs in my dining room. Also, the crew put duct tape on my blinds which stripped some of the painting. Additionally, the company has not completed the job and wants to be paid based on a revised invoice . The company sent an invoice in August and October 24 for the services. The next day, it amended the invoice to include charges that were originally waived.This is a very unethical practice. The owner refuses to come to inspect the installed flooring because he has made too many trips to my house, and he wants to be paid the full amount of the amended invoice before he returns. I tried to explain to the owner that the number of trips to my house doesn't release his company of the responsibility of the incorrect installation. A neighbor, a service person at a major home improvement company, and certified flooring inspector has commented on the condition of the flooring. The oily spots are very obvious. The manufacturer of the product saw the photos of the installed bamboo and indicated that an incorrect solution must have been used to clean the flooring by the installers. The owner is telling me to do a deep cleaning of the flooring to remove the spots. I believe this is very unprofessional. If a service is provided, the service company should stand behind its work. One of the executive managers at the company promised me that I will be satisfied after I had so many problems. The company isn't adhering to this promise. In the beginning, I told the owner that I only wanted professionals who were experienced in installing bamboo flooring. He assured me that his workers were very skilled. Throughout the installation process, there were different crew persons who could not communicate with me due to language barriers. Also, I witnessed the crew leader instructing and correcting them during installation. On one occasion, the crew leader communicated to the crew worker, yet he continued to install the planks incorrectly. He had to take them up and redo it. Also, I overheard the crew leader telling one of the crew persons he was doing something incorrectly. I was very concerned as I told the owner from the onset that I wanted experience workers since I was paying more than what other companies charged. Both the owner and the quality control person agreed that my concerns were legitimate and had the crew redo the work. I have sent several photos and emails to the owner to inform him of my concerns and to ask him to stand behind his work. The company is now accusing me of harassing them and has not competed the job. I don't know why I was treated differently from the persons who got really good reviews. I was really hoping to have the same results. read more
