I love this place. It's always had a good set of barbers and a good set of stylist. Everyone seems to know exactly what they're doing and they are on point on schedules. I've been here many times and I've only had one experience that was negative, that as because she tried to be speedy, fast, timely, and try to assume the cut without asking questions, like the other horrible places. However, I never judge a place by (one person). Especially when the person themselves were worried about being fast on your cut. After that experience I was like okay I'm going to go again and see if that was the person or the place. Surely enough I was wrong. :) I was serviced by (Angela M) She was 10/10.! She was very professional knowing that she was busy and still took the time to make sure I received the services I needed. I even remember she even had back to back haircuts ‍ however, this didn't stop her from doing her best and making sure I had a great cut. Now, I have been serviced by a couple of people there and they were great, but Angela M above and beyond.! Extremely satisfied and I would recommend anyone to receive her services. Everyone else is great but I enjoyed my services from her. A good barber shop always has a good set of barbers that not only cut hair but can help you unwind from the world in those couple of minutes. She's wonderful and very personable. She doesn't take too long and knows how to transform your look to what looks great. I went in and asked for a small trim around 1 or 1 and a half inches and ended up losing over 3 in certain areas. Scheduled an appointment for my son. Drove all the way from Gilbert for an appt and was told that they couldn't accommodate with the appt I booked because his hair was too long. They offered an appt 5 hours later. Son was super disappointed. 30 minutes seems sufficient to cut even long hair. Edited to add that his hair is mid-length according to the website which would have added additional expense but both are booked for same amount of time. Hair is not below shoulders. read more

Made an appointment for my son which we waited about 20 minutes later and looked like they took someone else before us. Also asked specifically not to take more than 1.5 inches off the bangs but removed about double that. I LOVE SARA. Just moved to the area and one of the things I was most anxious about was finding somewhere reliable to get my hair cut. (Refer to my previous reviews to see horror stories lol.) I walked in without an appointment and waited around ten minutes, not bad at all. Sara introduced herself and brought me over to her chair. She asked what I wanted, listened, and did an incredible job. Her attention to detail was insane and I could TELL she was so focused on giving me the best cut possible. Her blending is immaculate and she was just the best. She was also super easy to talk to and it wasn't awkward like it can definitely be in hair cut/color situations. By happenstance, my 11-year-old son and I dropped in at Floyd's this afternoon for a haircut. He was seated with a wonderful gentleman from Italy. I never did catch his name but he did a wonderful job. My son is thrilled with his haircut and the stylist was patient and took pride in his work. I made a point of tipping well - and it was well-deserved. He is talented. I will comment, however, on the extremely poor management. Toward the end of the haircut, the stylist told me he was almost done. My son called me over to ask me something (he is shy sometimes) and I walked over so my son could speak to me. While I was there, the stylist, my son, and I were having a conversation. He was sharing about being from Italy and about his family. What a really nice person. A woman entered the establishment and, almost immediately, approached me and told me to back away and to give the stylist space and that I was "getting in his space." It was bizarre behavior and incredibly rude. She wanted to know, "is there a problem over here?" in an aggressive manner. I was incredibly taken aback, as was my child. The stylist, in contrast, was very pleasant and by conversing with me, did not give me the impression that he felt that I was encroaching on his space. He never said a negative word to me and I certainly would have stepped away or sat down if I had any impression he was uncomfortable. I was literally standing next to my child for five minutes max. Even if there was a legitimate issue, it could have been handled politely - such as" Excuse me ma'am but our company policy is to ask parents to sit in the waiting area while their child is getting the haircut" - or anything like that. The way she spoke to me was as if I was doing something egregious! The woman ended up behind the desk and was the one to take our payment. I don't know if she was the owner or a manager or just an employee. What I do know is that she was completely out of line. This is absolutely no way to treat a patron. If she had a valid concern, she could have raised it in a much nicer and less aggressive manner. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I would live to bring my son back and initially thought I would bring my older boy and husband as well. Now, I am not sure because I just don't need to be spoken to like that. read more

I wanted to give this another try today, however this place is still the same. I had my appointment at 1pm and they had me waiting for past that time with no communication on why they're is no one to get me. Very bad communication and service, don't waste ppl time if u are asking to schedule at a particular time and not give service at the same. This place is overrated and service is very bad and waste of the time. I don't know how they expect customers to wait even though u get an appointment. It better not to ask customers to get appointments and only have walk-in. This is the 2nd time it has happened. read more

My hubby has been going to Sheila for like 8 years... we've lost count! She does an excellent job, every time. That's why he sticks with her. He has seen a few other stylists on the rare occasions occasions he couldn't make an appointment with her, and they have done well also. She has also helped our friend with a last minute request for highlights and trimmed our son's hair after years of not stepping foot into a salon. Floyds is fun, professional and friendly. So, just FYI, I highly recommend making an appointment and not just walking in as we had quite a long wait. That being said, they cut my husband's shaggy hair and trimmed his beard. She's your girl. 4 days later, my hair still feels soft and luscious! This was my first time at a Floyd's 99. I was expecting, frankly, a more dude oriented place, which, don't get me wrong, I love a good barbershop, but I wasn't expecting it to cater to the ladies as well. Overall I had a decent experience and got a good haircut. I was happy they were able to make the time to trim my beard while I was there as well. However, the lighting in there is so bright and my glasses were off most of the time so when they showed my my beard trim at the end I thought it seemed good in the moment. I got home and got a better look at it I felt like my beard wasn't even trimmed, but just had the lines adjusted. I wanted it short on the sides blended to longer by my chin but it seemed like it was all the same length after I left as it was before I got there. It felt like she was trimming it but she barely took anything off so I used my own clippers at home and did my best to make it how I like it. It has been really tough to find someone that can trim my beard right and it's a bit disappointing. read more

Shelia does a damn good job making looking as fresh as as a peppermint taste. I've been going to her for almost a year now and she never lets me down. Plus she knows what I want done and makes it happen. That's what I call damn good service. I always get a shampoo because the feeling of someone else washing and massage my head is truly enjoyable. I called to ask if the stylist would wear a mask if I made an appointment. I explained I'm in my mid 60's and I have some compromised health issues and I also would wear a mask at the appointment. They said on the phone, " sure , we will. When I got there , the female stylist looked like I was nuts to ask her to wear one. She asked are you sick ? I replied no, I'm immune compromised. You could tell from her body language and facial expressions, there was no way in hell she was wearing a mask. After just staring at for at least a minute, I left. I then saw a Sports Cut in the same shopping center. I walked in and asked if I got a hair cut, would the stylist wear a brand new mask I brought with me. The stylist said she had her own and would be happy to wear it. I gave her a 20 dollar tip when she finished. read more
