Dr. de Oliveira was kind, efficient, explained the procedure, and was very friendly. I felt very comfortable and in good hands. The cost was no way close to what you would pay in the states for quality dentistry. They honor their approximate fees that I saw on the reviews here on Yelp. The actual work was carried out by Dr. Marta Parra. I have to say she is amazing and a very talented dentist. She was very professional, listened and understood my concerns (spoke fluent English) and gave my smile extra sparkle! I love what she did and how she did it, I would definitely recommend Dr. Parra. I went to Medidental for a dental implant as the price seemed to be very friendly. At first…read moreeverybody was very nice and attentive, until after the first check up where they started selling me other services "required" to go along with the procedure. When I said that I will think about it, everything changed: very rude staff (the same one I met in the beginning), difficulty in booking appointments etc. The procedure of the implant lasted 3.5 hours, horrific pain and around (10 anesthetic injections). The doctor's name was Maria. After the procedure I had to go on medical leave for 8 days due to the fact that my face was extremely swollen and was in awful pain. A year after, since the new "tooth" was much bigger that all my other teeth and much longer in size (at the clinic they said I had to wait a few month to have it redone since the doctor was going on holidays), I had to have the procedure done all over again. At the new clinic I went they informed me that the implant had been incorrectly placed and therefore it affected the rest of my denture. Even though I was advised to make an official complaint, I never even wanted to set my foot in that horrific place again.

The minute he saw him, he knew it was shingles (keratitis). This condition is very serious and we had to move fast to avoid permanent damage to his eye. Dr Ribeiro prescribed medication and referred us to the CUF hospital to consult an ophthalmologist. Our phone was not working in Portugal so, Michele, at the front desk, worked hard to get through and was able to get us an appt for the next morning. We had not realized how serious his condition was. I cannot stress how lucky we were that Dr Ribeiro accepted to see him at the end of his work day. He saved his eye and we are forever grateful!
