We have stayed here in our RV multiple times. Sites are large and clean. This trip we stayed in a king safari tent. When staying here, remember... it's a tent, don't expect a flashy hotel room. Our tent had a king sized bed. It was stocked with towels, plates, pans, silverware, paper towels, dish soap & a sponge. It had a coffee maker with coffee, a fridge, microwave and a toaster. We have been coming to Flying Flags for over 10 years, and it has always been a great place to bring a family. The cabins are well suited for families, with lofts or bunk beds for the kids and a separate bedroom for the parents. The pool is very kid friendly, and the playground, fire pits, and other amenities make it an easy and enjoyable place to spend a weekend. Unfortunately, it feels like the property has started to lean a little too heavily on its past excellence. The playground has missing or broken pieces, with duct tape and plywood being used as temporary fixes. Some of the cabins are also beginning to show their age, with visible water damage and general wear and tear that could use more attention. I don't necessarily mind a property feeling a little lived in or showing its age, especially one we have enjoyed for so many years. What matters more to me is the hospitality. I would expect friendly, welcoming staff and not to feel like I'm being nickel and dimed for something as simple as getting into a cabin that is already cleaned and sitting empty. We have also been disappointed with some of the recent management decisions. During our latest stay, our cabin was already cleaned and sitting empty when we arrived, but we were asked to pay an additional fee to receive the keys before the 4:00 PM check in time. On a previous stay, our cabin was not ready by the 4:00 PM check in time, yet a similar concession was not offered to us. Policies like this can make the experience feel unnecessarily transactional and tacky, and take away from the hospitality that has made Flying Flags such a great destination over the years. Our family loves Flying Flags and the surrounding area, which is why we have continued coming back for more than a decade. We hope management continues investing in the property and prioritizes the guest experience rather than focusing too heavily on extracting additional fees from customers. We would still recommend Flying Flags, but we sincerely hope the property receives the attention and care it needs so we can continue saying that for many years to come. read more

Upon arrival we were very impressed with the overall resort and the professional and kind staff members. The amenities are also nice with the pool, spa, gym etc. The rationale for the 3 star rating is based on several factors. Let's start with the one that is hard to control but should be disclosed atleast upon arrival. This would be the massive amount of blackbirds dive bombing and pooping all over the sites and customer's items and RVs. We were in site number 7 after requesting during my reservation to not be near the front entry when I spoke with Carlos on the phone while making my reservation. These blackbirds are a nuisance and crapped all over our chairs, rugs, BBQ, stove, RV, steps, awning etc. We spent 10 days at the resort and spent much time cleaning bird poop. It was like a scene from the movie "The Birds" by Alfred Hitchcock. That made the stay miserable. We left each day to go hiking and exploring and came back to our site full of bird droppings and not just a few, it was like freckles of crap everywhere. Secondly and not quite as dramatic and severe was the laundry as 4 machines were totally out of order leaving not many to utilize. The restaurant was a nice feature as was the nearby Sideways Lounge. We probably won't be staying here again especially after the bird fiasco which was nightmarish to say the least. The 10 day stay also cost us approximately $1200 and I spent many hours cleaning bird poop and now need to have out RV detailed, chairs, carpet etc. sanitized and cleaned. I saw the spikes on all of the light poles and spoke to some of the staff members about the bird problems and they are fully aware. The place would a better place to stay if we didn't have those troubling issues. It's hard to camp somewhere and enjoy the outdoors when you can't even sit outside the RV and enjoy the day without getting pooped on by the vast amount of nuisance blackbirds in the resort. read more

We have stayed here quite a few times without much issue. For some reason this time was different. We showed up to our spot and it was wet, didn't think much of it as I had a neighbor already hooked up to the shared hookup post, figured they hosed something down- no big deal. After unloading, leveling etc I went to hook up. What a mess. There had clearly been an ongoing leak that had been ignored. It was overall just gross. I immediately asked them to come take a look, which they did. But I was told they'd have to wait until the next day for the manager, for the right tool. The next day I had to ask them to come by again as they never showed up. After coming back from lunch it looked the same so I reached out again and was told it was fixed- which it wasn't. An hour or two after that I looked again to see if any had dried up and they had put something around the post I assume to try and absorb the water before spreading, which didn't work at all. I find out that my neighbor sharing the post had asked about it too with no help. At $200 a night, this is pretty unacceptable in my opinion. I have reached out after my stay with no response so far as well. read more

We had a total of 12 in our party and shared 2 cabins and an RV between us and they were all near each other which was convenient. (+) Wine cabin was like a tiny home. Fun 2nd floor loft and we liked the barn doors that slid side to side. Small but decent kitchen, had the necessities. Best feature was the fire pit in the small backyard. And since we had some of us in the cabin next door it was nice to just walk across in the openings since it's not fully fenced and separated. (+) Kid friendly. We enjoyed the pool / jacuzzi / splash pad a few times. Dog friendly, took my dog on many walks and visited the dog park. Fun riding bikes around, playing basketball or soccer at the pavilion, tossing around a football. Also good spots for family photoshoot... my mother-in-law hired a professional photographer and we got some amazing pictures taken. (+) Restaurant onsite, limited hours but decent menu. Fire pits on the patio and live music certain nights. Hard to hear when your number is called when the band is playing so just check with the chef outside if you think your food should be ready. This might be one of the best RV Resorts! There truly is something for everyone and even locals seem to come to get wine, pizza and ice cream at the front outdoor restaurant bar. We enjoyed the gorgeous yurt and camp sites and there is also the ever famous Sideways wine bar in the back, pools with cabanas and This was our first time in the area and we really loved exploring the towns nearby and returning back to the camp site where we can have pizza, enjoy nice walks with the dogs, spending time by the fire or drawing on the sidewalks with chalk, lounging poolside and even enjoying some fancy desserts at the dessert food truck. Really awesome property for the family! The guests are super friendly and there is a strong sense of community at the camp, we have stayed in the safari tents and the ranch cottages and both offer exceptional experiences depending on what you're looking for in your stay. Most staff are friendly and helpful. We have had very minor issues with front desk reception but we appreciate the constant communication over text of on-site events and reminders of policies. Book early to secure an ideal spot, especially on a holiday weekend. My kids absolutely love Flying Flags! My dogs thoroughly enjoy their stay too. We will be coming back as soon as another opportunity allows since we had so much fun. Wish we could stay another day that's how much of a blast we had. Five stars! read more

Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in Buellton, CA exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to be back! From the moment our party arrived to Flyjng Flags, the staff welcomed us and treated us with kindness and respect. They were genuinely friendly people and I can tell they really care about making sure guests enjoy their stay while providing a clean and safe environment. The RV resort has different sections for all styles of camping, whether it's your own personal trailer, in a Jupe tent, tiki tent, vintage trailer, wine cottage, or brew haus cottage. We stayed in the private ranch area - the Santa Ynez Ranch Cottages and I loved the privacy. I loved that it was a cottage and really embodied the term 'glamping' - definitely my kind of camping. LOL The cottage itself had a private driveway to park our vehicle, a front porch with included a table and oscillating fan, an entryway patio with grill and patio furniture, a bedroom, a kids loft, a smallish full kitchen, and a little family room. It almost felt like a bed and breakfast! The bathroom was nice and clean too. We stayed in 701. The ranch area had its own private pool for the community too. My sister and her family all stayed in one of the four Brew Haus Cottages. Their cottage looked similar to ours but had smaller/cheaper furniture inside than what we had. However, they had a huge front patio and an outdoor fireplace. They stayed in Brew Haus 3. And we loved the shade from their tree. Quiet hours were between 10pm and 8am, and seemed to be followed by everyone on the premise. It was nice to see the employees making rounds throughout the RV resort and campground. It is definitely not a hotel stay because there were bugs inside and, because I knew we were "camping", I was okay with the bugs (we saw 3 spiders in our cottage). Overall, I have more wonderful things to say about this place but I'll leave that for you to experience. I've raved about it to family and friends and can't wait to be back again. Other notable things: - Minutes away from Solvang and Ostrichland - Starbucks, Albertson's, CVS, and Anderson's Pea Soup just around the corner from Flying Flags - They sell food and other basic pantry items, including souvenirs, ice, wood, etc. - There's a dog park, and playground, soccer field, basketball court, etc. - Be sure to pay attention to signs and speed limit, as there are lots of kids running around and on their bikes or scooters. - Their site map is very helpful! - Remember to leave a tip if you feel the staff have earned it :) read more

We literally are here today. We have been frequent flyers at this place consistently. It had been about six months since we've been here and I have never seen this place is rundown our beginning experience at the registration officer dealing with the gentleman by the name of Carlos, who was the lead was absolutely rude. No explanation to anything basically like we got your money. There's nothing else you can do about it all we were doing was asking things that they used to do prior to and no longer do anymore. They have completely changed their rules without any notice. There's always a right way of explaining things in Carlos you were absolutely rude. I've been working in sales and Customer Service for over 15 years and I've never seen somebody as rude as you and being as the today was our check-in you knew that there was no way I could get a refund so the way I get back is by reviews and I will review you on every single platform I have. I pray that you Flying Flags find better customer service to run your front being as a Carlos. Make sure to let us know that he had been here for three years with his chest out. Please have a discussion with your lead because he was very unprofessional. We are also here in one of the cabanas in their stained disgustingly reeks of Urine. The restrooms are unclean and they no longer hand out towels. This place is completely went upside down our last time, spending vacations here. We are locals from this area. Our family owns businesses here not that we expect any privileges. We did not mention it at all to anybody. This place is disgusting. for as much as they charge do you think they would get new cushions for the cabanas and not count every single towel we can't even get towels delivered to us out at the pool area. We're here now and all I can say is we're glad we are leaving tomorrow. FYI- their "internet" only supports "basic browsing only." We have not been able to connect at all and unfortunately cell service isn't great. Really wish they would have said this anywhere on their website or at booking instead of advertising their WiFi. Also they advertise "free cable." You have to bring a long chord to connect, again something we would have loved to know prior. We thought it was through their internet. Unfortunately due to how loud it is, we have to play music or a movie for our dogs if we are not in the rv and unfortunately cannot. We weren't even able to order an uber to go to Solvang due to how bad their internet and the reception is here. Shame we had such high expectations, back to staying at KOA's! They're phenomenal and never have any issues, if you do, they comp you and go out of their way to address. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I absolutely would. This was by far the worst camping experience we've ever had. Between 8am - 10pm (not quiet hours) we received continuous complaints saying guests had reported us for noise. Yet staff admitted they couldn't even hear our music or voices when they drove by. When I responded to Ivy's text about our experience, I rated it "00" because it was H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E. Later, Jennifer called to follow up, and things only got worse. She told us our music and voices shouldn't be louder than "three campsites down." When I explained we weren't loud, she had no answer. At this point, we genuinely felt targeted. I asked Jennifer a simple question: If a family brings a child on the spectrum who might cry or make noise, would that be an issue here? She said yes, it has been an issue. That was shocking to hear. It's extremely disappointing that this campground seems to discriminate against children with special needs. That speaks volumes. We came here to enjoy Veterans Day weekend and ended up feeling hurt, frustrated, and completely unwelcome. Jennifer kept talking over me while asking me to explain my side; it was exhausting and disrespectful. We will never be back and will not recommend this place to anyone. We camp all over California, and this was, without a doubt, the worst experience we've ever had. It's currently 10:19pm and got a compliant that our lights is too bright? This was our first time here and it was very busy as the Wine and Chili cook off was happening during the time we were there. There is a lot to offer at this RV resort. There is a kids' playground, pool with kid water area, plus an additional pool and hot tub, bocce ball area, basketball court, walking / bike trail nearby, and we believe a golf course is close as well. The gift shop/grocery store is not that big but has the necessary items. There are 2 eating establishments - one on-site up front, which has great food, and the other one is next door at the hotel. The eating establishment on-site had an area outside to eat with a gas fireplace and a musician in the evening hours. For anyone that wants a party there, there seems to be a section that is specially for large parties (weddings, birthdays, etc.) that is private and a little bit secluded. That is nice to have when you want all your guests to stay nearby without having to be near everyone else and make it more memorable. There are a lot of different areas to stay if you don't have an RV or bus. There are a lot of tents and smaller cabins, and larger ones. One area that has smaller tents has a couple of solar panels set up next to them. There is a safari cabin area and also larger modular type cabins are available. For RV's, there is a propane filling station to refill your propane tanks. As well as a dumo station. Those are 2 things that you don't see too often and are nice to have close by. There shouldn't be any reason that family and friends couldn't join you on a wonderful weekend at this resort & campground. A lot of memories are to be made during your time here! read more

Just spent this past weekend at flying flags in Buellton. This was our fourth time visiting. Still a very clean resort however there is a new ban on E bikes. We were warned as we checked in that if we were caught riding our E bikes we would be kicked off the premises. Needless to say this change affected our experience and will have a big impact on us returning. One of the best parts of visiting campgrounds is riding around and our E bikes with our families and venturing out of the resort into the city to enjoy local activities and businesses. read more

We booked a few nights here while exploring Santa Barbara, Solvang, and some of the surrounding areas. We ended up arriving late on our check-in day, but they had a late check-in packet waiting for us with directions to our site, which was really nice and made things easy. There are plenty of different sites to choose from. They are somewhat close together, but that's to be expected with a resort-style campground. We had a full-hookup RV site, which worked out great for us. The next morning we stopped by the main office to check in and the person behind the counter was very friendly. They also have a small convenience store with basic necessities and even a restaurant on site. The campground has a pool and hot tub as well. We didn't end up using any of the amenities since we were out exploring most of the day, but it was nice knowing they were available. We usually woke up at the crack of dawn and were gone all day. At night there were people talking, laughing, and playing some semi-loud music, but honestly that's to be expected when you're camping and people are trying to have a good time. The good thing was that everyone respected the 10 PM quiet hours. Overall, we had a great stay. We wouldn't mind staying here again in the future and hopefully taking more advantage of the events and amenities the campground has to offer. read more

We've been staying here for maybe 10 years now and this was our worst experience hands down. First of all it was disgusting! From the bathrooms to the pool area and even the walkways. Gum and dog poop on the walkways, grass a mess and dying in the field, bathrooms not freshened up but looked like they cleaned once a day, the pool area wasn't kept up except for the trash taken out. The cushions were absolutely disgusting like they haven't been cleaned from last year. The pool gate was broken 6 of the 8 days we stayed). We literally chose that spot to be close to the pool and we had to walk around. Taking many steps away from my husband and our friend who have a temporary knee/foot issue. We asked multiple employees and Texted the number and no one knew when it would be fixed. I said- my trailer could be fixed that day. And then there's the ebike harassment. My respectful 13 year son was continually harassed by a specific employee about riding his ebike (when he was pedaling mind you) until my husband had words with him because he didn't realize my husband was standing right there. And he's a big Mexican guy in relation to this Mexican guy. I get it, don't mess around on the bikes. He wasn't. We go to this campground every single year for at least a week to enjoy all the amenities and brought two other families this year and it was embarrassing to say the least. That was our last trip. The Sideways in pool and fire pit were nicer and that's totally sad. We spent most days there. Oh and the bocce ball court hasn't been taken care of. It used to be smooth and like a legit tourney court. It's run down and decaying like the rest of the place. The twisty slide has been broken now for over a year with a wood plank still blocking it off (verified since we go every July). Bike parade? Basically non existent since the employees werent hyping it up. Weird guy screaming on an ice cream bike was well, weird and not even leading in the front. Where was the golf cart with music like in the past? All around strange experience and I am asking for some form of refund for the pool and lack of cleanliness. * After I left this review in a survey that the company sent I received an email asking me if I'd like to engage in followup questions about my experience. Since I've been going to this campground resort for so many years I felt obligated and happy to do so since it's held so many amazing memories for my family over the years. Little did I know that the woman who would call me would become defensive, passive aggressive and hang up on me. I'm still waiting for someone else to follow up as she stated before she hung up. She ruined my day too as I thought I was helping them out not answering the phone to be yelled at and hung up on. Phenomenal! Its been a long time since we have been Rv camping and this was our first outing with the new rig. I was amazed at the cleanliness of the facility and thoughtful activities for kids. Those two things stood out most for me. Its a fantastic family friendly place. The location is great too for visiting Solvang 10 minutes down the street or a 90 minute drive to Hearst Castle. The time went by too fast! We look forward to staying again and have already shared it with family, so we can plan a big meet up there. read more

Nestled in the heart of Buellton, Flying Flags is perfectly situated for those wanting to explore the Santa Ynez Valley. It's an easy drive to local wineries, breweries, and charming little towns. The location is a great mix of seclusion and accessibility, making it a perfect base for both relaxation and adventure. We visited here for a friends birthday and did their glamping tents, which was super enjoyable and definitely a weekend to remember! We can't wait to go back. The glamping tents were like stepping into a simple yet chic, cozy oasis. The tent was spacious surprisingly with a super comfy bed, and each tent had a patio with chairs and a grassy area. There are also a ton of RV spots, so we are looking forward to going back and talking our trailer there! The amenities here are quite impressive and cater to all ages. They have multiple pools and hot tubs which was great. The on-site restaurant, The Hitching Post, serves up some tasty meals. We got pizza from here, while sitting outside and and enjoying the live band they had! They also had a food truck with pastries and sweet treats nearby, which were delicious! They also have another large outdoor space with bocce ball, picnic tables and a food truck which had various BBQ food options. One thing to note - they NEVER answer their phones so it is nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone if you have questions or want to change your reservation. I tried to call multiple times on various days and could not get in touch with anyone. We booked online and we did not get any email confirmation either which we found to be very strange [none of our friends got confirmation emails either]. So I would say that the customer service is definitely a low point here and could use some improvements. Overall though, Flying Flags Buellton offers a fun, family friendly spot for camping with great amenities! After our weekend here, we loved it so much that we are looking at making an annual trip here. read more

Flying Flags RV Resort and Campground is a place we like to stay at when traveling between San Diego and San Francisco. We have stayed in cabins and cottages on different trips, since we have retired from the Airstream life. Many of the units are also pet friendly, as we often travel with animals. There are many amenities and enough private spaces to really enjoy your time here. Stop in the gourmet market for things you forgot, swim or lounge at one of the pools on the grounds, play horseshoes or bean bag toss, or roast marshmallows by the fire pit. We had a very disappointing experience at this campsite. We were asked to leave under unclear and seemingly unfair circumstances and were even threatened with being charged twice. The situation was handled unprofessionally. The general manager, Jennifer, yelled at us from her golf cart instead of speaking directly and respectfully. Her instructions were unclear, and when we tried to clarify, she was dismissive and condescending. Before we could get any resolution, she drove off while shouting that we would be charged double and even called the police. We felt singled out and humiliated in front of other campers, as no neighboring guests appeared to be treated this way. Staff also repeatedly pressured us about e-bikes, even though we walked them through the back row and only rode them outside the campground. On top of that, staff drove by our site every 10 minutes, making it impossible to relax. For the price--and especially since we were essentially camping on concrete--this experience was far below expectations. Clear communication, professionalism, and respectful treatment should be standard. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. read more

Overall, this was a good place to camp. The grounds were clean, the staff was friendly, and we enjoyed our stay. The campsites were a little tighter than we expected, so don't expect a lot of extra space between neighbors. One thing future visitors should be aware of is that E BIKES are prohibited. Staff takes this rule seriously....I was actually approached because they thought I was using the my e-bike (on). They did allow me to ride it around the campground, but the bike had to remain powered off at all times, so I had to pedal it like a regular bicycle.Other than that.. cool campground read more

I just returned from an amazing trip to Buellton, CA, where my girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Flying Flags. We stayed in one of their cabins, which was very well appointed and super comfortable! The deck outside was a nice bonus, where we enjoyed our morning coffee and evenings watching the stars. The grounds are extremely well kept and maintained! Even though the RV park seemed full almost to capacity, the place did not feel crowded. The vibe was very family-oriented, and the accommodations, such as the pools, fire pits and cabanas, felt like we were staying at an upscale resort. All of the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Access to the sister property next door, the Sideways Inn, was a great bonus - there is a decked-out fitness center and bar/lounge that we took advantage of during our stay. I will definitely be returning to stay here at Flying Flags again! Buellton is a great base to explore all that the Santa Ynez valley has to offer, away from the crowds of Solvang & Los Olivos, but just a short drive to everything. I was going to give them one star; however, I want to be COMPLETELY fair. my husband and I have been going to flying flags for over 11 years. we've seen and enjoyed all of their renovations. we've also continued our loyalty despite their every raising rates. I mean, they have doubled them and more on some sites. Still, we continue to go. Sometimes taking two rigs. During those times, we've also had our fair share of inconviniences. From the unkept/dirty lanai site, to having to move due to a massive tree branch almost falling on our rig. Still. Theyve for the most part, handled things good. Well. it Now appears our loyalty is only one way. Back in December, we had reservations to stay for NY Eve. My husband changed them due to last minute house guest (I wasnt even aware of those reservations). So he rescheduled for valentine weekend. Yesterday, 2/10, my husband tested positive for Covid. we obviously cannot travel while he is infectious. So I called to try to reschedule. Mind you. We are NOT asking for a refund. Simply calling more than 48 hours before our reservation asking for a credit of our $145 deposit or to reschedule. I spoke with a nice man and he said that we had already used our one time reschedule option and we were ineligible to reschedule again. I explained our situation (covid) and expressed his long we have been going there and asked if there was any way he could ask a manager for this exception. He called me back 10 minutes later and said they could not provide a credit or reschedule us. I find that very disappointing and irritating. They have all our visits in their system and KNOW that we are loyal guests that never change our reservations. This unfortunately is not important or enough for them. So they get to keep our $145 and more Than likely STILL book someone else in our spot and we are shiat out of luck. I understand policies and that's why I'm giving it 2 stars instead of one. at the same time, having worked in hospitality myself, I KNOW how simple it is to make exceptions. Especially to long term loyal guests. It's unfortunate that they are pretty much the only RV park in Buelton, but o think we will just book rooms in town and board our pups during our visits. read more

In the past we have always loved coming here. So much to do and the facilities are so clean. We made reservations for Mother's Day weekend and discovered the new policy on e-bikes. We are so disappointed because we live just cruising around the park and using our bikes to pick up food and such. I'm sure it was because someone got reckless and instead of dealing with them directly or giving them warnings they just change the policy and ruin it for everyone else. So frustrating. In the past I see kids racing around on their bikes and scooters and their parents don't watch them. Not just on e-bikes but regular bikes and scooters as well. I'm not blaming just the kids but why ruin it for everyone. This might be our last time. I'm so sad. read more

I've stayed at Flying Flags at least half a dozen times over the years, and my most recent visit reminded me exactly why I keep coming back: the exceptional service, beautiful grounds, and the integrity of the entire staff. During this trip, I had an unexpected issue with my key--twice in the same day--which left me locked out of my tiki tent both times. The second time was especially stressful as it occurred after the reception desk had closed for the evening (around 9:30 PM). I truly thought I might have to spend the night in my car. Thankfully, I was able to find a security officer patrolling the grounds who kindly helped me access my quarters. The next morning, I received a personal call from Meagan at Flying Flags, and I have to say, her response was nothing short of outstanding. She was genuinely apologetic, expressing repeatedly how sorry she was that I'd gone through that experience. She took full responsibility on behalf of the resort and went above and beyond by upgrading my final night and comping my entire three-night stay. I was honestly taken aback by the generosity and sincerity of the gesture--it speaks volumes about how much Flying Flags values its guests. Despite the hiccup, this experience only deepened my loyalty to this incredible place. The grounds are meticulously maintained, the accommodations are consistently clean and charming, and the staff is always responsive and kind. The way Flying Flags handled this situation--with accountability, grace, and generosity--is precisely why I continue to return. Five stars without hesitation! This place is a joke. We ran into some people who said it was amazing for kids. They allow no e bikes, no one answered any phone or text when I was trying to gat info. All their food was out of stock. Can't get a margarita and I do t even drink. The kids pool area was disgusting. The pool was disgusting. This place is a joke. We stayed here for a night on our road trip. Unfortunately it was when the pizza restaurant and ice cream spot was closed. The amenities were great because there's a pool, cabanas, store, restaurant, bar, and THE KICKER! A dog park! The only downfall for me was not being able to experience the closed restaurant. Oh, and make sure you don't need to get a hold of them before your reservation - it was ridiculously difficult to get ahold of anyone. I called several times over the course of weeks. I really enjoyed staying at Flying Flags in Buellton. It has a lot going for it. It's new, clean, level and has many amenities. Multiple pools and hot tubs, an ice cream stand, live music some nights. (Not to be mistaken for Taylor Swift but OK) The restaurant's brick oven pizza was pretty good. The ice cream stand was a pleasant surprise. Free brewed coffee in the office every morning. Mini outdoor tables around a fire pit. Clean modern bathrooms. Including some that were private. A wide variety of accommodations from cabins to tent sites to tents to RV spots. I noticed some of the RV spots were on pavement, so no gravel into the RV, and some weren't, but I carry a mat so the gravel really wasn't a problem. As with most RV parks privacy was not a design consideration, so you're up close with your neighbors, but the neighbors were generally well-behaved. The town of Buellton is quite nice. The main drag, the Avenue of the Flags used to be the highway before it was moved so it's a huge Wide road with almost no traffic. Some of the businesses have been there for 100 years. Try Ellen's pancakes, a two minute walk away The other restaurants within walking distance were all pretty good. You can get to a variety of parks with a short walk and the facilities of the adjoining Sideways Inn, restaurants, gym etc., are available to guests. I planned on staying just a few days, but my dog wasn't feeling so well and I didn't want to hit the road until I was sure I didn't have to take him back home to see the vet. But he came around so we hit the road after about 10 days. I would definitely go back. Noteworthy attraction within the short drive is ostrich Landes a fabulous well run ostrich farm. You can get an ostrich egg for 50 bucks and you can feed the ostriches up close in person for about 10. That was pretty good and to my pleasant surprise done in a dog friendly way with fencing to keep the ostriches and the dog separating while letting you get some ostrich eye contact in. There's an auto museum across the road with some of the old-time land speed record holders from the Bonneville salt Flats. And the recently closed California icon Pea Soup Anderson's - there's no pea soup but there are lots of pictures of pea soup. read more

What a great place! We've been coming here for 4 years straight! Never had a problem once! The staff is very friendly, professional and courteous. Even the other campers are friendly and chill. I lost my Apple Watch during the last visit. With one phone call they eventually found my watch and had mailed it back within a week. Love this place! read more

We stayed there over the weekend, and while the experience started out great, things took a turn when our campsite's power hookup suddenly stopped working. As we were getting ready to leave, we discovered that our truck battery had been completely drained -- our trailer had been pulling power from the truck instead of the site hookups, which were not functioning. Nothing in our trailer worked because the vehicle had no remaining power, which delayed us from leaving. We spent over three hours troubleshooting before management finally assisted us and confirmed that our campsite power hookups were not working. I called every day for three days trying to reach someone about this issue, and it wasn't until then that I finally received a call back. When I did hear from the manager, Jennifer, the interaction was extremely disappointing. She was rude, dismissive, and condescending throughout the conversation, taking no responsibility for the situation and speaking to me as if I were being dishonest. read more

Great! Would get 5 stars but this places has a Karen that forced me to go around the office instead of cut through. All night during quiet hours people are up and having a good time. When I'm trying to get to my spot in the morning she stops me and makes me go around the office location. I did not need her fake friendliness, to make me go around. Beware of the Karen. read more
