Flying Fox Coffee turned out to be a decent spot to enjoy a beverage while we passed the time between hotel check-out and a departure flight at the airport. Surprisingly there were three coffee spots on the same street, if not more. One was unexpectedly closed during normal operating hours. The other was not very clean, in an unappetizing way, and the "kitchen was closed", causing half of the menu to be unavailable. Thankfully, upon entering Flying Fox, the vibe was bustling with customers. We felt we were in the right place. The first thing I noticed was the unique flavor combinations of their signature lattes. I ordered one with rose flavoring. Others in my party ordered an iced Chai latte and an iced vanilla matcha. The cashier was patient, friendly and kind, especially since we were first-timers and the menu was quite interesting. We sat ourselves and the barista brought our drinks to us. That was a nice touch. Truthfully, I was a bit worried that the rose flavoring in my iced latte might be overpowering, but as it turned out, I couldn't taste it at all. That was mildly disappointing but at the same time, I was relieved that the latte wasn't overwhelmingly floral. As a side note, I do wish our seating area could have been a bit cleaner. There were dust bunnies and crumbs.

My dad claims they make the best Mocha he has ever had. I enjoyed a seasonal drink at half sweetness and it was yummy. Pretty busy. Cute and great service. Food was good as well

Great local coffee shop. The teas and coffees are made with such care. The new space is absolutely gorgeous. Special thanks to them being open during the aftermath of Helene.

Really nice place. They are moving so just sharing my experience at this location. The hot chocolate was really decadent and delicious. My friend got a pastry and really enjoyed it. Staff here is super friendly and the vibe is just great here!

As a former resident of Greer visiting occasionally, Flying Fox is a welcomed site. I brought my niece and nephews here twice and they loved the chocolate milk. I'm not sure what they use to make their chocolate milk but it was delicious, the best I've ever tasted. I bought a chocolate milk at another local coffee shop for my nephews and Flying Fox's chocolate milk was much better. I had Violet Eyes latte cold and hot (lavender, coconut, vanilla and honey). The latte was the perfect blend of flavors and consist over the times I got the drink. Lavender was definitely the most forward flavor and it wasn't too much. I've had imbalanced lavender drinks and Flying Fox's was perfect. The menu is a simple specialty coffee shop menu. They use top of the line professional coffee/espresso equipment. And based on my drinks I tasted their baristas have mad skills. Flying Fox was brewing coffee from Cooper River in Mount Pleasant, SC. Totally recommend Flying Fox

I just visited their location at downtown greer and I loved the new location. It's very cozy and they display art from local artists. The coffee was really tasty and the service was very pleasant

I one of the best chai's I've had in a while! I got a honey chai with oat milk and it was amazing. The hubs got a pour over coffee and he liked it too. The staff was also soooooo nice and personable.

Another gem in the upstate for coffee. Excellent coffee but the location makes visiting this shop a must. Tons of seating options. I grabbed a seat upstairs by the window looking over the brick paved streets and sidewalks of Trade street in Greer. My Salty Ex specialty coffee ordered hot was not overly sweet or salty and still allowed the flavor of coffee to sing. Served in a heavy handleless mug my coffee stayed warm the entire time.

The coffee was very weak. My Keurig makes better coffee. I wouldn't go back here. Save yourself a bad experience and go to Starbucks...

So I never have felt the need to leave reviews (unless positive), but I'm starting to think our…read moregeneration is getting too comfortable just being rude to each other for no reason and it's time to take some accountability. I'm saying this as a young adult who has been in the work force for over a decade now. I get having bad days, and maybe the girl I interacted with was having one, but I never think it justifies being mean to a customer. I came in for the first time in a while, excited to see what fun drinks they had since that's something I credit them with. As soon as I walked up to the counter, I was met with a disinterested and bothered barista. I asked for a moment to look at the menu, and she just walked away in that same bothered way. No words. Just silent annoyance. Once i knew what I wanted, she acted annoyed that I was ready already. So I quickly gave her my order, feeling bad for bothering her. She was short with me and then at the end of the interaction, she pointed to the pay pad (still annoyed) and said "There's your total". And then that was that. I always tip. I was a barista for years and know how helpful they can be...but I was faced with the question: "Should I really tip someone for making anyone feel like an annoyance for walking into their shop? Would that be helpful or would it be enabling this behavior?" For the first time, I didn't tip, and I honestly felt bad about it, but her behavior was WILD. Her coworker seemed to feel the need to intercede for the girl, and she was very kind . Bottom line is this, you can have the best atmosphere, drink, food etc., but the deciding factor of whether my family will be a regular customer is how we're interacted with.

Lots of fun drink options from caffeine to caffeine free. A few pastry and food options but not many. I would definitely come back if I visit Greenville again!
