When heading to Dallas, this is my boyfriend's preferred stop because he really likes their burritos and tacos. Let me tell you a thing about those burritos. One day, they were out of the premade ones, so I waited in line to have the nice lady make me one. When it was my turn, I asked for a chicken burrito and holy cow, she hooked it up. That burrito was bigger than my face. I'm not even kidding. I know I posted a picture and it may not look that big, but trust me, that thing was frikkin' huge. I got through half of it before I had to give up. There was just no way I was going to be able to tackle that whole thing by myself, BUT, if you are a hungry hungry hippo and burritos bigger than your face are your thing, I think you need to get your hungry little butt down here and get one. The bathrooms are relatively clean and do the trick in a pinch. They aren't Buc-ee's bathrooms, but nothing could be better than Buc-ee's bathrooms. In addition to ginormous burritos and decent bathrooms, they also have a ton of kitschy country knick-knacks. If anyone you know is really into horses, Jesus, and turquoise, then all that stuff is right up their alley. Pick out any last minute gifts here for all the country boys and girls in your life. Customer service rep a.k.a one of the cashiers acted like she had a problem with me asking a simple question. If you're having a bad day just call off or think about the big picture why you're working (provide for yourself or family) think about something positive or just quit. I've been up and down the U.S. and this by far was the rudest short tempered cashiers I've ever seen. Heck I've made pit stops at 0200 and the cashiers acted like we were extended family. The cashiers all shut down to count box at 10pm. They take over 30 mins. Just to do this. All cashiers then they claim to only be 2 mins, but 30 mins later you still here them laughing and playing around. read more

Pretty impressed. I don't venture in these stores much since I rarely buy anything a convenient store sells. However I was "fully" loaded on coffee and needed a potty break and more coffee ;-) Nice store. Very clean. Impressive. Lots and lots and lots of stuff. So e handmade local looking things. Lots of TX goodies. VERY CLEAN RESTROOMS. The cafe smelled amazing. They stock a good bit of wine...oh yeah! Their coffee sucks. Really. It does. Arcadia or some crap. Its a decent gas station. They have a Dennys and Burger king attached to them if you're traveling a long distance and looking to stop for something to eat. The store part seems generally clean. The only issue I have encountered thus far is one day my wife and I stopped for something to drink prior to leaving to go out of town, and the spouts on the soda fountain machines had mold on then and obviously had not been cleaned recently. read more

How the flying J allows this place to be an affiliate, I don't know. The place is horrible. Shows are always cold. Only half the lights in the showers work. No floor mats and the people that work the fuel desk are rude. They only hire kids who would rather chit chat with their friends than to work. Must be some really high turn over. read more

I stopped here on my way to Ft Worth this past week and was so impressed I felt compelled to share - this is the coolest truck stop gas up place I have ever experienced! This place is bran spankin new - not only can you get gas (and the cheapest I saw between Austin and Ft Worth 1.79) they have a Denny's, Burger King, an arcade, Trucker's Lounge, showers and laudry facilities and they sell some fancy cowboy apparell plus everything you would expect from a gas station doubled. read more

Everything in the store looked pretty clean, bathrooms were clean and showers too. Their customer service is super bad. They have young girls working as cashiers there, and when me and my husband (truck driver) were buying cigarettes they were just standing there talking sh*** about truck drivers in front of us. I was traveling with my wife thru Texas from San Antonio towards Dallas. I stopped at this location which is also a truck stop, to get gas, food and some rest. As some of my friends told me "The truck drivers know where to go for the best service and food". I guess it's because they are on the road all the time. The parking lots were full of trucks. So I figure it must be good. I was pleasantly surprised; very impressed with the operation and management. The place is clean and the food was excellent, considering it's "highway" food. The deli station needs a separate menu board posted above the counter. It's confusing when ordering. We walked thru the facility and were amazed about the services they cater to truck drivers. It's unreal. Truckers have their own lounge, rest rooms and even free Wifi throughout the entire facility. The best part of the experience was the shower service. For $12, we get to use the private shower facility (it was very clean with granite counter tops) for as long as we want with toilet, bench, hot shower, fresh towels, etc. Wow! so refreshing to break up the long drive fatigue. I gave a 5-star rating because this place is equivalent to a 5-star, first class hotel. A new experience for us; what can I say, ONLY IN AMERICA! THIS IS A TOP NOTCH GAS STATION. I stopped here around midnight to get some gas and it was so well lite up like it was day time or something. the place is huge has some of everything inside. There are plenty of places to eat located right on the same primises. It was pretty clean. The gas was averaged priced. read more

Not a bad place at all. The store is huge with lots of knick knacks and odds and ends, some Texas themed, some just country themed. That stuff is a little on the pricier side, but it is a travel stop, so that's to be expected. A pretty spacious driver's lounge with a TV and video slots. They have awesome pumpkin pie (had to get some with it being Thanksgiving and all) and a nice beer and wine selection. read more

Worst POS flying J in the entire chain. Slowest and rudest without a doubt. Save yourself time and frustration and stop elsewhere. BOTH men's restrooms closed for cleaning at the same time. I have visited this store since it has opened and while it was quite nice in the beginning, it is just HORRIBLE now! They keep changing things around and the store looks awful!! The biggest disaster is the COOLER you cannot find any thing you want because it is unorganized and looks REAL sloppy Horrible place to stop, there are other places that take pride in their business. read more

I usually stop here on roadtrips to Dallas. There are a lot of bathrooms, but the level of cleanliness varies. It's usually okay. This station seems to be a stopping place for all the tour buses from Mexico so the parking lot can get crazy busy. Exercise extreme caution to avoid getting in an accident. They have a lot of gas pumps, but there's almost always a line to get to the stations. read more

I transfer craft beer to and from Austin and Dallas and when I do, I always stop at Flying J's for breakfast tacos on my way to Dallas. They make them fresh to order right there on the grill in front of you. It's a nice way to start out the day. They are always busy but that does not stop them from being kind and courteous. Honestly me and my boyfriend came in at 3:22 am from Austin to Waco. we needed gas and he's needs cigs, we stop in, I use the bathroom, very dirty. 2) I come out to the register and my boyfriend started getting stern with the manager IGBAL. For one he couldn't scan one of our "11 off of two native spirit cigs coupons" my boyfriend then again gave him another coupon and the barcode was good and again this man couldn't scan it saying it was broke, that the bar code was wore off... this is when my boyfriend finally called him out on it, he was drunk on THE JOB! He was shaking slurring his words and couldn't even scan anything!!! Then the man behind us got cigs as well and came to our pump to say you know he gave me the wrong cigs after 3x telling him kool blues. The manager gave him kool green menthol. FLY J NEEDS TO STEP THERE GAME UP COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED AND I WOULD NEVER STOP AT THIS GAS STATION. horrible service in the front of the store @ night. my husband and I were there around 1:30 am. the cashier was loud and rude.talking on her phone and then walked off and left us standing there.. We had to go to the back of the store. The cashier there was shockingly pleasant and helpful. Doubtful we will return. This is a horrible place to stop.
