I do so much like this travel center! Buying gas here is usually competitive with other places in town. But after using their Pilot Rewards Card ten cents per. gallon is automatically subtracted. And there is no limit on the amount purchased! You can bring multiple vehicles here in the same day ; it doesn't matter! What a deal! The store itself is stocked well! I see no shortages here on anything! The coffee is super and my favorite place locally to get a hot cup to go.Try their intense energy coffee! Smooth with a mule kick that will make you want to cut your grass with a push lawn mower! The place is clean and the personnel are friendly and helpful! This is my to go to place for gas and coffee! I will give it two stars instead of one star because the bathroom smelled nice. I pulled up to the pump which seemed to look like it worked and after five minutes of it not working I pulled to another pump and it worked. The computer screen was stuck asking me for a rewards number that I did not have and the skip button on the screen did not work. This was pretty frustrating. I am traveling out of town and don't want to spend all day standing at a pump waiting for it to work. read more

I have been going to this Flying J for many years. They have a wide variety of snacks and drinks. They also carry basic automotive supplies and other convenience store items. There always seems to be several pumps not working, and on my most recent visit, the gas didn't stop, and overflowed. Also right now, it is very difficult to get in and out of the parking lot because of the road construction. read more

This is about one of the nastiest showers I've been in. How hard is it to clean all that old dust off the vents and fan? I can't believe I had to pay to take a shower in this. Just disgusting!!! To top it off the shower attendant knocks on the door while I'm in the shower to see if anyone is in there. I know he saw that the shower was in use. I will NEVER stop here again!! They RIPPED ME OFF!!! They changed a serpentine belt for me and charged me $244! I had the same service done before and it cost $85! The part cost $30 and it takes 15 minutes to change. These are the people that give mechanics a bad name. read more

As a convenience center, it's a good stop place to stop. There's a Denny's and a barber on site. Hot drinks and food are in good supply, although not as much as QT. They seem to keep up with the food/drink area quite well, as they're frequently tending it. I drive from Charlotte to Greenville very frequently, so can tell you that the cheapest section for gas changes. This Flying J is competitive and if you download their app, you get 3-cents/gal off the price at the pump, every 6th coffee (drink?) is free, and you earn a penny for every dollar spent. There are always helpful 2-for-1 and discounted specials on the app, too. Now, for the big negative... the gas pumps are junk, at least that's been the case for at least the past 4-6 months (today is 2/23/19). They may not read your card at all or they may be ve-e-e-e-r-r-y slow through each step of processing your card. Sometimes they're marked as broken, sometimes there's a sign telling you the pump may not read your card (see my pic), and sometimes you have to discover it on your own. If you finally get to the stage of filling your tank, you're going to be fine. I do not understand why they have not fixed or replaced whatever is screwed up. I probably should have given up on this place, but I keep thinking that they MUST be going to fix it! read more

The Flying J here at Blacksburg one of the older older ones in the chain can see highs and its lows quite often..sometimes you come in the bathrooms are spotless two copies nice the area is clean and sometimes you coming it's a disaster..it's always been this way at this one too it's a crapshoot you're going to roll the dice as what kind of experience you're going to have unfortunately. one thing that is a reason why I don't like to shower here is that they do not like to clean a lot of the facilities the way many do they scrub and white but they don't get corners and they don't do the vents and registers some of these pictures definitely reflect the fact that they do not do a great job but the bottom line is it's the area you have to understand where it's at the quality of work that's done once again this is where people are working for a check they don't take pride in their job and that's a sad but true fact.. they did get the bean to cup machine here and the coffee theory was nice and clean on the day I was here..the bathroom in the back so could have used a lot of cleaning or wasn't very clean in the trucker's area the front bathroom was clean.. the store was fairly decent for the most part not a lot of garbage on the floor counters were wiped down which was nice feature was nice and fresh I just stayed at the Denny's so but I didn't want any but I would say they just brought some fresh pizzas out there looking really nice..they don't have the full dinners at this one though they only have the hot selections to burgers in the strips in the wings and all but not the full dinners with the smash taters and the meat selections. because it was a Saturday I was not very busy in the parking lot and the fuel islands are quite clean as I was walking into the building happened to notice that everything was done as it should be not a big disaster trash was thrown out of the garbage cans which is a nice thing. does Flying J gets a lot of travelers sometimes people stop for a day and their Vans and other things and hang out but it's not bad at all as far as crime it's quiet up on the top of the hill here at Blacksburg. other than the bathrooms that was about the main thing that they need to work on the truck or bathroom in the back I didn't take a shower so I wasn't too sure what they look like today but other than that just good to be expected for the most part with a couple of small oversights nothing stood out nothing really bad. read more

It's your typical flying j travel plaza, supposed to Be a truck stop but they're more interested in the Car customers than the truck drivers. Truck parking is ok but they have lost many places since they've decided to build a tire / service shop In the middle of the lot. They've also got LPG pumps again in the middle Of the lot, taking up parking spaces. The showers are tiny compared to other pilot/flying j Truck stops. There is a Denny's restaurant on site and they also Have a hair salon on site, that's open mon - fri. read more

Check your credit card bill for extra charges you did not make. I filled up my tank and received the appropriate charge for that fill up. There was also an additional charge for $13.95 that I did not make added to my bill. American Express has opened a fraud investigation on this location. read more

I have been coming to this truck stop about once a month for the past 10 years. The staff has always been pleasant. The showers always have good water pressure and hot water. Even if I need nothing but a shower it's worth stopping. read more

This is a great stop while traveling I85 you can stop for gas a bathroom break and there's a Dennys inside to dine at as well as the food offered at the gas station like corn dog's and hotdogs etc. and they also have pretty clean bathrooms read more

We've stayed at several Pilot Flying J's during our travels in out motorhome usually with no issues. During our last trip we found an issue with spots designated for RV's are now being occupied by large trucks. Both locations were on I-85 with one being Blacksburg, SC. We did get one of the spots but seen RV's pull in then leave because of the spots taken by the trucks. read more

This is a super well-equipped travel stop- they have showers, coin-operated laundry machines, clean restrooms, a room with a large-screen tv mini-theatre with comfy chairs, auto and truck supplies, and a large array of junk food, hot dogs, coffee and even soups. There are some clothes and souvenirs too. It's attached to a Denny's. The gas is cheaper today than the other guys in the area. There are even managers greeting you as you walk in. read more

Normal truck stop. Good selection. They do have some good sales. But I go for the pizza. Any kind you want for $14 and its 8 slices but its huge compared to what's available around here. Aslo call in your order and it's ready when you get there. I always like they have a deal, 2 kids g size candy bars for $3.50. Where others its over 2 each. read more

The pumps never work. We have the app because we use to always come to get gas but the last year they never work. Super frustrating

The low fuel light on the dash of my Suzuki GSXR750 came on and I stopped at this flying j and filled her tank with their premium. She was running perfect before the stop, but short after leaving she ran very poorly. I called them and all I got was an half ass apology. Will never stop there again. read more

In the past have never had a bad experience , great hot GOOOD food 24 /7 and was welcome shelter when I needed a place on the Harley . Now as I travel that way still the best for fuel , food , L P cylinder exchange and cases of bottled water for the team ! never a dirty restroom ,friendly employees and showers for the drivers who bring us 98% of every thing we need each day from gas tissue paper !
