It's a fairly new store right behind Concord Mills on the AMC Theater side and as far as gas stations go, this one is very well kept and clean. The fuel islands are all in working order and fairly fast as far as fueling goes and the trash cans nearby are emptied often. It can be somewhat of a hassle getting out of here if you're trying to turn left back towards I-485 but there is a traffic leading out of Concord Mills that makes it a bit easier. The inside of the store has a good selection of convenience food and drink items as well as your usual general merchandise necessities. For some reason, it seems like Coke/Pepsi is always on sale at these places (when you're buying 2 liters or 6/12 packs, not the convenience 20oz sized). I'm always finding them around the 25 cent per can price so it's always worth going inside to see. Attached to the gas station is a Krispy Krunchy Chicken, a Louisiana favorite that I unfortunately haven't tried yet. Oddly enough, they also serve Pizza Hut and Mooresville Ice Cream, so something for everyone I guess. The staff is very friendly, especially compared to the average gas station experience, so it's always nice to see a smiling face when I walk inside. Between this and a clean, well kept store, they keep me coming back time and time again.

They willingly cut up the cheese for me and I really appreciated that! I handed my lottery ticket to turn it in. He kept talking to the other employee. Then he finally said. What do you want? I told him, I wanted to buy some lines for the lottery. I'm new to the area so I don't know what the name of the local lottery is called. I wanted one line on the power, one line on the mega, and one line on the NC lottery. He rolled his eyes and gave me the tickets without any response. It turned out that it was called Cash 5. This is the rudest interaction I have had anywhere in Charlotte. I'm living in the Cambridge Commons neighborhood and will drive farther to not give this station my money. I was so put off by his horrible attitude that I forgot to see if they had newspapers. So we went over to Food Lion. They were out and told me to go to the gas station. I told them no thank you! The guy there is miserable and rude! The employee asked what he looked like and they stated it was Chris the manager and he should know better. If he's the manager then he needs to be retrained on what customer service is.

I think that BP as a "store" gets a (perhaps warranted) bad rap due to the vast majority of independent owners putting very little resources into the upkeep of their shops. Earp's appears to be the mirror opposite with great facilities and friendly staff. If you're coming into Charlotte from the Stanley County area then Earp's is especially convenient for you with a right turn in and a right turn out. If you're leaving town then I would suggest stopping here rather than somewhere else later because a lot of the convenience stores and gas stations beyond here are a bit sketchy. Staff-wise, Earp's is a breath of fresh air with genuinely happy people behind the counter. The selection of coffee is uncommon for a gas station as well. The only C-store I've seen with a wider array of coffee and tea is perhaps Sheetz (which you won't find within 50 miles of here). With only the Speedway convenience store across the street to compete with at this corner, Earp's is the clear winner. Ive got this place pinned on the map for my couple of trips a week to Albemarle from now on!

The lights on the pump were so dim I could not see the price of the gas, how much gas I had pumped, or what my cost was. I didn't feel comfortable with that so I stopped after a minute or so. Asked for a receipt but nothing came out so I went inside to get it. I was passing through the area so I didn't look at my receipt until I got home. I had been charged $2.92 a gallon. I have written Speedway corporate and called as well. Actually received an email back from Speedway with a case number. Reason I ended up at this location is because I was redirected to pick up my u-haul 6x12 trailer here. I originally had set to pick it up at one of the mail branch u-haul, as I always had a bad experience at the "linked" stores. So, I was a bit annoyed that I got a notification less than 24hrs before pick-up to go here. Sure enough, it was a mess. Granted it was a new store location and apparently I was the second customer for a u-haul. great.......I was patient, spent a whole hour here for a pick-up. I had to provide my vehicle specs and DL information AGAIN, even though I had filled it up online and he even read it to me to verify that I was the correct person to pick it up. Their internet connection did not work, so I had to do it on my phone. User errors on their personal phones or connection issues. The clerk had to call uhaul help line twice to advise on steps (Ok, i'm the second customer, I get it, but MY phone? weird). Anyways, don't get a U-haul here. Otherwise, it's a clean place with the basic selection on sodas and snacks. Oddly, no coke products.
