Stopped here on a road trip through Dade City and it was a solid experience overall. Big, easy place to pull in and out with plenty of space which is always a plus at a travel stop. The inside was clean enough and had a good variety of snacks, drinks, and hot food options. Bathrooms were decent, not perfect but definitely usable, and the staff I interacted with were friendly and kept things moving. Stopped to take a quick shower there was about 7 showers open no one cleaning them for about 30 mins as the list for showers started to get longer and longer they was so worried about ppl parked outside but not worried about getting the showers clean. read more

This was the only place open to buy food after a concert and honestly i LOVED it! They sell really good pizza and the wings are awesome. We had to rush back to buy some more. Of course we took home some Cinnabon which they sale either boxed or fresh ones. Better than Wawa, this is a life saver. The staff was friendly and helpful!! FYI to all travelers: My bank contacted me this morning to tell me that I had an unauthorized charge on my card for $151 (right after I purchased fuel at the Dade City Flying J) and canceled my card today. . When I called to inquire about this issue, the company said they place a hold on all debit cards when you purchase fuel. The debit card hold is either for $1 or $151. I am going on vacation tomorrow and now I do not have a debit card for my trip, not happy. Tip: use a credit card at this Flying J. read more

This store has been here a long time, they've been a hub for the Hwy 52/I-75 intersection since I was young. Before that it was a crappy gas station and a waffle house. They have a Big Truck wash, trucker rest area, and showers for those overworked big rig drivers. Inside is a Dennys which is a review in itself. The store has all kinds of stuff a normal gas station has, but they also have a section all for truck drivers. Blinkers, DEF fluid, antennas for those CB radio guys.(how many are left?), and many other trucker essentials. The store has hot pizza, wings, and other hot food. Cold triangle sandwiches, fruit, salads, and a cup of boiled eggs to stink up the truck 220 miles down the road. My favorite thing about this store is the Cinnabon kiosk. Every day they have a person just working the Cinnamon roll counter and they are there for lunch too. If you've never been to Flying J do yourself a favor and come see the truckers oasis that countless OTR drivers have relied on for decades. read more

This is the closest gas station to my kids house, a big truck stop gas station with a Denny's attached. This is my usual tank up stop when coming into town or when departing to drive home. Relatively easy to get in and out of, pumps are usually clean. Gas prices are right on par with off interstate gas prices, and never the cheapest because of it. read more

This was a pretty standard travel center. Decent drink and snack selection, including the built-in restaurants. The only trouble we had was that we were hauling a trailer and it was difficult to find a decent place for us to stay out of everyone's way. It wasn't that the place was overly crowded, just that the parking spots were narrow and the amount of curb space was limited. Easy to get in and out, but good luck making a left turn! read more

If you are a truck driver. I wouldn't recommend showering here. The shower was minimally cleaned. Soap scum was everywhere. There was mildew in the shower. The shower heads were dirty...which means so is the water that you are bathing with. The entire shower suite was small compared to other truck stops where showers are twice as big. The only pro about this truck stop was that it had a lot of parking. Other than that everything else is pure mediocrity. But if you don't care about cleanliness then by all means this is the perfect place for you. read more

Sandwiches, Cinnabons, pizza and other hot items such as fried chicken and French fries. Also, plenty of seating for those who need a break from the road. But let's discuss the most important part, the restrooms. Honestly, they're cleaner than most household restrooms I've ever seen. In other words, they're impressively clean and very well-stocked with supplies. My only suggestion, add another cash register because this place gets freaking BUSY!! read more

Driving in the middle of God's country with nothing around you for miles, this Flying J popping up out of no where seemed like the answer to my prayer!! Not only a stop for petro but their humongous convenience store was well stocked with everything under the sun. Multiple types of fresh brewed coffee, beverages and get this, a Cinnabon inside!! The store was spacious and clean, clean, clean. Especially the restrooms! This is also a trucker's stop so there are showers and a nice place for them or anyone to recline and relax a spell. That same area doubles as a worship area on Sundays. How cool!! read more

Stopped here to pick up my brother who came in to surprise his family. The Truck stop part was well kept, even if the parking area for cars is a nightmare to navigate. Yes, it's a nightmare, because you have old people and young people who are impatient, and don't know how to drive. They don't look before backing up and they just do what ever they think they want to do, YOU be damned. The trucking section of parking is very plentiful, I had to drive my lil blue over there to actually get my brother as his truck was parked facing the pumps. My car was dwarfed by the big 18 wheelers, I felt tiny in comparison, but all in all it was a positive experience. read more

This was an A-Okay stop for gas and use of the restrooms. This stop was the LAST before I made it home after 4 days of driving up and down I 75. I was very road weary and not wanting to do more than get things done and get back on the road. This travel center caters to both professional truck drivers and those of us driving personal vehicles. There are two sides for parking, so the big rig trucks have their area and the smaller vehicles their own. I pulled up to the building to park and took care of everything I wanted inside first. Despite being a larger facility, there were only two stalls inside the women's restroom. Note: you have to walk through the game room/lounge and by the Men's restroom in a narrow hall to get to the Women's restroom. The facilities, as noted by others, were very clean. All the expected candy, snacks and sundries for sale. What I didn't notice was fresh fruit, so I made my exit and pulled up to the pumps. The pumps are nicely spaced. They have lanes painted showing they want you to pull in from one direction only. After pumping, I was dismayed to see a notice on the screen that I should "go inside for receipt." Grrrrrrr! Nope, not gonna happen. My plan was to pump and get back on the road. I made note of the total and left. Most days that might have been a minor blip but, in that moment, I wasn't a happy customer. I can see how this travel plaza would rate more stars for professional drivers. They have hot showers, a place to sit or play games in the lounge and there's a Dennys, which covers the basics for food. All in all, they were A-okay for my needs. read more

My car needs gas and it needs it often. It's tuned for 93 octane and I stopped here after a road trip with the gauge on the big E for empty. The best gas they have is only 92 octane so I apologized to my car for mistreating her and filled her up! The gas got us home and life is good! read more

Not generally a fan of truck travel centers but this one seems to be ok. They have an assortment of personal care items--flips, toothbrushes, toothpaste, but was out of floss when i visited. . .boo!!!! A lot of crap food and souvenir items as well as truck supplies, and stimulants to keep you awake are here as well. For some reason I feel somewhat leery going in here. Maybe because it's late at night, or perhaps I'm in the middle of nowhere, AND a lot of truckers stop here. . . as long as I have my pepper spray I'm straight. read more

Do not use this station. Had the worst experience at any station ever. Apple Pay wouldn't work. One credit card was declined twice. Second credit card was declined. Had to stand in line forever. Other people were also having pump problems. Pre-paid inside and then pump would not work. I had to go in and second time and complain. Pump finally worked but would pump a few ounces at a time without resetting over and over again. I finally got fed up at $20 of gas and left. So now we will have to stop at another station to fill up. read more

I've been to a few gas station to find out they don't have any diesel fuel. This place is one who has always fuel the costs are less for cash price and slightly higher for credit. The cashiers are fast and pumps are clean i still have a glove to wear anyway because the fuel smells strongly and doesn't wash off easily. read more

I was on my way to Saint Leo University for class and I chose to stop about 3 miles away at the Flying J gas station. I was incredibly impressed with the selection of items for sale, cleanliness, and approachability of the staff. I walked in to purchase a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a snack. I had no problem finding the items I was looking for and everything was organized extremely well. I noticed short lines because the staff was handling customers in a expedited manner. I noticed additional staff members stocking shelves and assisting customers on the floor. The associate that assisted me at the cash register was extremely personable and mentioned the water I purchased was 2 for $2 and she offered it to me in an interesting way. She said that I could get 2 for $2 or just one for almost $2. I thought it was funny. I also ordered some meat lovers pizza that looked decent in the case. The pizza was actually delicious. It was a bit pricey for 1 piece being $3.29. The associate offered it to me the same way. She said that I could buy 2 for $5 or 1 for almost $5 and she followed it by "just saying" with a laugh. I would have taken advantage of the deal, but my appetite was not really there. The Flying J has showers for truckers coming in to take a rest and a Denny's attached as well that can be accessed by walking in the Denny doors or through the gas station. The Denny's is a good size as well. The parking lot is a bit hectic with no clear direction of where to go or yields so be careful. read more

Shocking display of no masks!!! While I was in line I counted "12" people, yes 12 without masks with several in line waiting. And only one person was questioned and they refused and still received service. Several others, including 2 employees, were not wearing their masks properly and blatantly doing so. Yes, a lot of truckers stop here. This is a truck-stop. There is only ONE in this city. Where else do you expect truck-drivers to fuel up, eat and shower? Be leery all you want, but also remember, you wouldn't have dental floss if they didn't make sure it was delivered to the consignee. Moving right along.. Let me first say, please do NOT eat the food here. We tried the hot wings and we were seriously ill for about 24 hours. Also, not a good idea to buy any necessities here or at ANY Flying J, because you will be over-spending by about 3-5$. The lines are ALWAYS long, at ANY time of day, but the employees are nice, the showers are clean and they have a Denny's. The Wi/Fi, which is NOT free by the way, and is also sponsored by "Wandering WIFI" is pitiful. You'll pay 5$ for 24 hours and remain at about 2 bars, and it doesn't matter where you sit. Inside, outside, etc, you'll have crappy internet connection. They always have great deals on unique t-shirts and souvenirs here. We picked up a few magnets and postcards for less than 2$. Overall, it's a safe place to spend the night if you're in the trucking industry like my husband and I are, but you'd be better off going to Walmart to buy things like shampoo, lotion, etc. read more

I was on a short trip traveling back to Citrus County from the Tampa Outlets 5/16/18. My "low tire pressure" light came on. I have had trouble with the indicators popping on and off and really didn't pay any attention ..... I thought something didn't feel quite right and.... yep.... Flat tire! Duh!! I was close to the exit for FL State Road 52 and pulled into Flying J. Went inside to ask if there was someone who could help me to change a tire. The cashier was very helpful and understanding, gave me the card to your service person on duty for Road Service . He was busy helping a trucker with his windshield wiper/motor. He was able to help me in a little over an hour. I have nothing but positive words for your employee Joe. He was knowlegible of my "special" VW key needed to unlock the hubs. (Fortunately I knew where to find them in the trunk!) He was so pleasant, helpful and caring. He also told me he was "off the clock". I asked him what I owed, he said, "Nothing". I thanked him and slipped some bills to him.How many other employees would give of their time after a long day a work? I am so grateful to Joe and his dedication to his job and his concern for his fellow human beings! What an asset he is to your business!
