I now see why this Flying J has 1 and a half stars. I truly dislike leaving negative reviews but I have to be honest about my experience. The cashiers working here are super friendly but that's not all it takes to run a business. All parking is reserved parking here and it's super small park early if possible. There are 6 showers here but they only clean and use 2 of them and make you wait. So 4 showers don't get used I personally waited over 2 hours for a shower which is just unacceptable. To treat drivers like this is absolutely ridiculous if you have to stop here DON'T keep driving there is a TA across the street. read more

This place is a train wreck total chaos getting to a pump, the gas pumps are filthy and the receipt dispensers don't work, I opted out of going inside to get a hard copy of my receipt since I used my fraud protected travel card. I caution you to look before you exit your vehicle, the fuel island reeked of gasoline and once I walked up to the pump there was a pool of fuel right behind my Jeep from a previous spill so don't rely on the auto cutoff mechanism on the nozzle it seems this is a frequent failure. This location has a maximum gasoline octane value of 92, today it was $4.099 a gallon, my baby prefers 93 octane but this will have to do it was time to fuel up before I reached the Tampa area. I understand this is a Truck Stop and it's a busy place, but it doesn't mean it has to be this dirty. I had no interaction with any of the staff so I can't speak to that but if I had to guess they are either short handed or lazy. CAGO VAN COMMUNITY As a truck driver who drives a cargo van, I often times try to find places I can get some sleep in until I either pick up a load or deliver one. I stopped here in Seffner because I was picking up a load at 8 AM. I went in, got something to eat and came back out and closed my eyes. About four in the morning. I get a knock on my van telling me that they only have 30 minute parking here. I see a number of the big trucks who were there and I didn't see anybody knocking on their vehicle, so I gathered myself and went across to TA. I would like to say I spend a lot of money wherever I stop and I will make sure that I don't stop at that location ever again and I'm hoping that everyone else that drives a sprinter van/cargo van does not stop there either or a RV for that matter or even someone just passing through in a car since they only have 30 minute parking and don't spend your money there either. They know that people are working and just trying to close their eyes now you wanna play lot police. Hard working tax paying business owners have to leave because you only have 30 minute parking. They evacuate parking lot at 5am. Was woken to someone knocking on window. I needed a place to rest before heading back on the road and was disappointed that I wasn't able to feel safe before driving from being so exhausted. The exterior was kept clean though and the staff was polite. read more

It's a smaller establishment than other stores with a good variety of snacks and drinks. The hot food selection is in poor quality. Bathrooms aren't the cleanest. You can't pay with a card at the pump so you have to go inside. And then when paid you find out they only have one type of gas which is the expensive one. Plus you have to hold the handle the whole time. read more

I stopped here for 15 min to feed my toddler and an employee came out to our car and told us we could not be parked there, i made attempts to get my toddler into his car seat but I dont force him to get into his carseat until he is ready, she came back out five minutes later and was face to face with my two year old and threatened my son that she would call police if we did not leave. They are very unprofessional inhumane and lack compassion, understanding and common courtesy. They should be put out of business. read more

The lady manager there does not understand that the customer is always right and will set there and argue in front of other customers that she is right and me the customer is wrong. The story goes: I asked for Grizzly "DARK FIRED TOBACCO" long cut select. She stated they don't sell and has not had it in that store. Note this is the only place i purchase my dip. I bought a can 3 times over the past 2 months. She stated the Grizzly Dark select is the same thing. I stated it was not, the taste is different, she persisted that I was wrong and that it is. I have now researched and found that im correct it is not the same. Came here last night. Went inside for something to drink before going to bed. The refrigerator door for the milk was open. I made sure everything was cold and grabbed one. Come to find out, the interior shelf was blocking the door from closing all the way. No big deal, I'll let someone know. Went up front to pay for it and told the employee about it. She said "okay", cool. Went to pay and husband realized he had forgotten his wallet in the truck so he ran out to get it. The employee then goes about SWEEPING the floor instead of checking on the fridge door which was still not closing. The manager then comes up to help me and I say something to her. Like why is the other employee sweeping instead of checking on the milk which if left unattended or taken care of, it's gonna defrost and could make someone really sick. Milk can be cold, but not cold enough and cause it to go bad. The manager looks over the counter and front her spot ACROSS THE STORE, tells me how the door is closed in a "are you stupid?" Kind of attitude. And I explain to her that the door is NOT closed because their interior shelf is blocking it. At this point the previous employee comes up and says how she couldn't have gone to check it because up here (cash register) had to be monitored. I said that the supervisor was up here so what was stopping her? She had no answer and neither did the manager. Over all, both were extremely nasty and lazy by the looks of it. And when I left the store, they still hadn't checked it or even gone over there. They didn't even ask to make sure my milk was cold enough or show any concern. So yeah, I have high concerns about the health relations and over all care the night/late afternoon employees and managers put into this place. This incident was extremely concerning. Milk can go bad pretty quickly and it can make someone EXTREMELY sick. It's not like a soda or an energy drink where it can get warm and be fine. So yeah. The door was fixed the following morning around 9:30 am but whose to say how long it was before they actually did anything about the door or if morning staff were the ones to ultimately end up fixing it. This place is not what you as driver want to deal with. The parking spots are limited and they do not tell you the truth about the reserved spots. If you park in spot then go in to try to pay, you get told you can't reserve a spot even though you was there the night before. With you ask why I can't pay for my spot no reply but allow the next drive to pay that was the oppose race. Hmmmmm make it make it since. Y'all really doing scam type stuff to drivers. Heavy volume ..I drive several sizes of trucks for my broker.. entering any truck stop area is always a WAR ZONE...nope not because of the trucks.. THE 4 wheeled vehicles.. few signal and most CUT us OFF. We are carrying freight that can become damaged because of the sudden lane changes of the 4 wheelers.. .. next time have a plan.. pick a parking or fuel pump location before you spin around like a TOP. Today 12/29/18 at 3:33pm we filled gas up at store 625 on our way to Orlando. Then we went inside to buy 4 coffees & snacks. We went as far as filling up 2 cups b/s the store run out of milk/cream for coffee. I asked Selena (store employee) if I could grabbed milk from the store, very rudely she answered: you sure can, but you have to pay for it. I throw one in the garbage since I like it extra light. Selena proceeded to argued with me that coffee would leek, etc. Coffee area was DIRTY!! Instead of arguing with customers keep the place clean. If you run out of milk, easy grab a gallon from the store put it on a bucket of ice OR put a sign at the door and in front of coffee area: "run out of milk, dark coffee ONLY". Selena has no right to treat customers like that. She was rude and condescending. For sure the store gets dozens of tourists passing by every day, costumer service is lacking at this store big time! Wow, this place completely sketchy after the sun goes down! When we stopped, it wasn't late; just dark. There were a lot of men were standing outside, pacing the sidewalks. It left me a very uneasy feeling. The services were pretty average for a truck stop in between Orlando and Tampa. It may be a different environment during the day, but I definitely will not be back to experience that situation again! read more

Do NOT use a credit card at the pump. They took. $100 pre authorization charge that locked up $60 of my credit. When I called they said there is nothing they can do about it and it would take up to 72 hours to recredit to my card. Who do these jack idiots think they are?
