Gets a good amount of traffic. It's a gas station and Dennys combined. The store staff are friendly. Restrooms are clean. The prices for drinks and food are a bit pricey but for truckers this maybe heaven when you've been on the road driving for days. They do have broasted chicken which was a pleasant surprise as most stops have fried food all day long. The gas was reasonably priced. My spouse says for a flying J this is a pretty nice one. I would recommend this location for sure for a quick me up or a fill up. read more

Unfortunately, the bathrooms were a disaster - several of the doors in the men's room banged loudly, soap and paper towel dispensers were empty, etc. Fuel prices were a little higher than I expected. Legitimately the worst gas station I've ever stopped at. Coffee was completely empty in all dispensers, counter was understaffed so the line was huge, and there was nowhere to fill up my water bottle. The pumps were a mess, too, I finally gave up fueling and went across the highway after trying 3 pumps because after the first one kept erroring my CC was flagging the $226 hold it was trying to place. read more

I have traveled back and fourth from Dallas, Texas to El Paso since 1992. Would always stop at this flying J going and coming. Why, cause it was so clean and always stocked. I have not been in over a year and WOW. We stopped on the way back from New Mexico on 09/01/25 at 8 pm. We kept saying we will gas up and get some good coffee at the Flying J in Tye........WOW what a disappointment. I stopped and parked at the pump at the pump and it was dead, 2 other cars on a night of much traffic on 20. Weird. No paper towels to clean windshields, trash all over the ground along with spilled drinks etc. My better half had already gone inside to go to the restroom and get some trail mix I was soon to follow after filling up. I filled up and guess what, no receipt as no paper. OK, maybe it just ran out, but soon to find out it was just not refilled cause of the lack of customer service. I get my refillable Yetti and head on in. As I get inside I see the better half and said please hold my Yetti, need to go to restroom. I get the response of "watch out, it's filthy". Sure enough, wow, 1 urinal is out of order, floor has paper towels just thrown on the floor, It smelled and was indeed filthy. I go back out and get my Yetti for coffee and I always put half n half.....they have a dispenser of reg half n half and milk. YUCK, They were both empty and the stuff was dripped all over that looked as if it had not been cleaned in a week or longer. All dried up half n half. Counters were also filthy. They had the same type of dispenser on the other side, well guess what......same! Both half n half and the flavored creamer were empty and guess what, was just as gross and filthy as if it had not been cleaned or wiped down in a week or more. No small individual half n half deals in the tray either. So, I guess no coffee for me. I go up to the front counter with better half who just needed to buy the trail mix.......waiting in line when 2 workers and a manager was checking out a customer. Manager turned to one of the girls and said, can you take them.......walked to her and she just ignored us. So, went back to the managers line where it was just 1 other customer he was helping, then the lady goes "oh, sorry, you can come here" after she was done checking her cell phone. We said forget it, left the trail mix and I said to all three why is there no half n half? They all just looked at me dumb. I then said is this still a Flying J as I saw adverts and mugs etc that said PILOT, and she said yes it's a flying J. I said then why do you all have merchandise that say Pilot, she said cause we were bought out by PILOT.....so then it is a PILOT! We left and will never be back, we will also let others know how it was. We looked at many reviews online as we were driving home and all reviews were positive up until about a year ago. So, that must have been when Pilot bought the Flying J. Oh, I forgot to mention that I went over to the Denny's to see if they had some half n half and I waited 6 min. no one ever came out! It was dark and filthy as well! So, again, it is to bad this place was taken over by a company that does not care! It shows and is so trashy!!!!! read more

The Denny's that is part of this place .... Needs lots of help ... I waited for a little over 30 minutes for food ... I ended up leaving .... I always stop here to go to the bathroom, because its always clean. Not this time all the stall were out of toliet tissue. I have worked at a fast 24/7 convenience store. So i know its hard. But each stall holds 2 huge rolls. There is really no excuse to be out. One roll ok but both rolls. They shouldnt be out. There was a long line of ladies waiting in line. when i told the lady that worked there all she said was thats what i am doing. She was very rude. Ok.. so i i used the seat cover and left. Also all 3 hand towels where out, and trash cans full. My mother who had to wait said she never came back. So if you wonder why the toilet gets stopped up. Went here to grab some drinks. Our total was $3.33, we handed the cashier a $10 and she gave us back $6. They are not giving back change. Had we know we would have given her the .33 cents. Crappy to not tell their customers in advance. read more

I stop here everytime I am visiting texas from las vegas, gas is cheap and place is nice, the girl name Cheryl is very cute and very nice.

My family has been stopping at the flying J since 2001. It is halfway and we like the convenience;however, I have NEVER seen it so dirty. Every trash can outside was completely full and spilling over. The women's restroom was smelly and each stall's trash was full. This is the only large facility between Fort Worth and Lubbock. Management needs to monitor more closely. Perhaps they need a Buckees right along here. read more

First ... if I could give Flying J negative stars I would. Since Flying J has partnered with Denny's (the WORST restaurant on the planet) driving cross country is not nearly as much fun. We used to stop sat Flying J every time we crossed the state line. Now we have to search out hot food on the road. Dump Denny's and we'll be back. No 93 octane. I wish unleaded octane levels were disclosed before choosing a fueling station. Instead of just Regular, Mid-Grade, Premium. They should states their octane levels. I am trying to post pictures of fuel stations' offered fuel types, to help others. read more

This Flying J is great for RV's. They have dedicated lanes for RV/travel trailers/towing. The parking lot is large and open and getting in and out is easy. The store is clean and fairly well stocked. The bathrooms were clean and had plenty of TP when I was there. read more

The place is nice but the customer service sucks. Stopped in here on my way to Lubbock and none of the cashiers had a smile on their face and they just looked so unhappy to work there. The woman that checked me out didn't even bother to hand me my stuff or push it towards me after she bagged it -- all I got was an emotionless "have a nice day". This flying j seriously was Terrible. I'm a trucker so I'm always at a pilot or flying j and not all of them are bad.. but that's not the case with this location. Showers were terrible, would shoot out scolding hot water every other second so you couldn't get a consistent temperature. And secondly there was flies all over the damn pizza they have in the front! Even the cook guy came to switch old pizzas to new ones and shook off the flies and placed new ones, but didn't do anything about the flies!
