Headed to Reno, Elko is just about half way and there a Maverik station here. It took around $120 to fill this thing. This Maverik is not exactly right off the freeway, but I like these stations cause they have a huge store attached with clean restrooms and a ton of road food or even real food like burgers and stuff I think. I just needed to fill my big thermo coffee mug and get some Funyons and Doritos! Yeah, road food. I do have other people to drive as well so I'm not stuck driving the whole way. The gas pumps scan the credit card with no problem and that's better than some of these cheeepie off brand places where you don't know if there's some credit card scam going on. We all used the restrooms and climbed back into the Suburban and off we go, maybe we can make it all the way to Reno without stopping.

The fuel pumps are angled diagonally, making it easy to pull in and out without feeling like you're competing in an obstacle course. Love, love, love this! We've had more than our share of white-knuckle gas station visits, trying to squeeze our motorhome through layouts clearly designed for compact cars. Whoever planned this place deserves a raise. It's amazing how much less stressful fueling can be when the design actually makes sense.

That being said, the employee greeted me and was friendly. Another employee was also stocking the shelves and straightening up while I was there. They had shirts, chargers, pretty much anything you need and plenty of pumps, including a section just for trucks to the rear and the back lot was full of truckers parked for overnight so despite the bad reviews, it seems like plenty of people come here. This is my second time here in Wendover and I have had no issues so I will definitely stop here again.
