In the middle of nowhere Nevada you'll find a town named Wells. I don't know if there are any wells out here or it just happened to be named after a guy named Wells, but I do know this: this is a very decent Love's gas station. The place was clean, the gas was cheap, the bathrooms were cleaned and well stocked, and the people were friendly. When you're between Wendover and Reno you won't be sorry for stopping here. read more

I wasn't impressed here. To start the snacks are overpriced to quantity and there were sale tags on things that weren't actually on sale in their system. I was disappointed with the cashiers response after she got an attitude that we pointed out the slim Jim's we bought rang up $3.68, but had a sale tags 2 for $1.15. We are traveling a long distance on a very very tight budget and did not want to buy overpriced snacks. There was no hot food to purchase, the cold food quantity to price was harsh, and the fresh fruits smelt way to over ripe, but finding the slim Jim's on sale felt like a little break for us. The cashier took the sale tag from us and managed to price override (with an attitude), we offered to put the tag back on the shelf, but she was very much not wanting that, whatever cool maybe the sale expired. However when I attempted to let her know there was another tag on the shelf she was snippy, cut me off while I was talking, and then tried rushing our purchase of gas and slim Jim's just so she could run around the counter and rip off the other tag. read more

Great place to stop on long drives! Clean restrooms, showers, plenty of food & beverage options, and everything else you might want. Dogs are allowed inside. A small casino is attached, if you feel lucky. The staff is super friendly. The ready-to-eat food is good and there are healthful options including salads, fresh fruits, veggies and hummus. 0 Stars if possible. Rarely leave a bad review, but ding ding we got a winner. Came in because my a trailer tandem tire needed replacement and made sure to follow protocol. Checked in, told to wait for ok from company and did so. Then me and my co-driver see some random dude pull into their makeshift bay (their shop is currently under construction) and he isn't told to leave but gets helped instead. Going about almost 4 hours and just now getting the tire looked at. Ridiculously bad service. Was told some BS by the repair shop guy (that part of the shop is open and standing during contruction) about some problem with their system. Mind you we were parked and saw for well over 3 hours (5 guys stand around not doing anything) just twiddling their thumbs wasting time. One guy was working and when I went to ask him what the eta or delay was and mentioned my company he just laughed like oh we took someone else before you. One guy finally came up 15 minutes before 6pm. Saying someone wrote us up but didn't put in the work order for approval that was at 2 pm or so. Whoever is in charge you need to fire whoever runs your shop and all those employees who took what I'm sure you can agree is a warranted 3 hour break just lollygagging. read more

Most of the Love's are pretty good, particularly in snack selection. In fact, that may be the best thing about them. This one was a touch on the light side, as far as that goes, though not for trying. It was somewhat cramped inside, bathroom also under construction, part of the lot under construction. It's probably a bit unfair to be too harsh when they're in transition, so I'll just leave it at this place was fine for what it was, but once the dust is settled, I'd expect this rating to go up and hopefully there will be more space to navigate as some of the other locations. read more

I love stop at their places. I'm a healthy person and will never find anything at 7 eleven or any liquor stores to get anything to eat. I drive though here few times a year and have an RV. Well I had my oil changed in Reno and come to find out they didn't tighten my oil pan protector on my Honda civic. Which entailed letting out this high pitched squealing sound as apparently it was skidding down the highway. My mom and I had to immediately pull over on the highway. I told her I had received and oil change at the Castrol in Reno on Longley Street. At first I thought maybe they forgot to replace the oil from the oil change they were supposed to do. But apparently they just decided to hand tighten if that the oil pan protector. We had to drive in the right hand shoulder going slow I was afraid it was going to catch fire or blow off leaving the debris in the road for someone else to hit. My mom called this Petro station and they immediately got a sin and were able to zip tie it in place so we can get back to Reno. Absolutely awesome people I would highly recommend them! read more

This is an awesome truck stop. He had a lot of parking space for your truck. When I was here the most thing that surprised me was the coffee machine. The coffee was so fresh and delicious that I just couldn't hold my salads from getting another cup of it. They do have a big store inside a truck stop. If you were a trucker and if you would like some coffee, This is the place that you have to visit to refill your cup of coffee. The workers were also very nice and very professional. The bathrooms were clean as could be and the casino adjoining the Love's to the McDonalds smelled like the time I accidentally dropped and broke an entire case of vodka in my small, not-at-all-ventilated storage unit. I don't even know if they sell alcohol here, but it sure smelled like there was a booze fan club meeting at the time I walked through. Perhaps there's a good lesson to be learned here about why carpeting anywhere in a truckstop is maybe not an A+ idea. I skipped the McDonalds and the Casino and went right for the loo while we gassed up for the last leg of a cross-country trip. The convenience portion of this stop was kind of a gem, selling all the usual truck-stop eats (Cheetos, 11 different kinds of Mountain Dew, beef jerky) and wares, along with some actually pretty hipster Van Halen T-shirts. The women's bathroom had one of those novelty scales that you pay a quarter for it to "guess" how much you weigh when you step on it... it'll also tell you your fortune, apparently, which in hindsight kind of seems like a deal. The women's restrooms seemed well-lit, safe, clean, and had a large stall with a baby-changing table should your little one need it. Plenty of pumps and side parking if you do happen to be looking for a place to rest your eyes for a bit of time. read more

As travel centers -- heaven forbid you call it a truck stop -- goes, it's a fairly clean, bright space. Random display cases of trinkets that are great to catch the eye of the average toddler (though not what I'm trying to accomplish during the visit), but the restrooms are clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and if you feel compelled to blow $10 in the slots, well... it *is* Nevada, so there's a small casino attached for you to do just that. Or just bounce over to the McDonald's if you're snacky... and Wells ain't a big town, so the options aren't super extensive. read more

Traveling cross country we spent a lot of time on the road, at gas stations, and in search of clean bathrooms. This Love's stop had exactly what we needed plus more. This particular Love's had great gas prices and their pumps were quick. There were a lot of individuals waiting in line but we were quickly in and out. When it came to their convenience store, they had an amazing selection and the prices were reasonable. The bathrooms at this station were also well maintained. In the end we were happy that we came to this gas station because all of the Love's stations we stopped at were consistently clean and well stocked. It was also a plus that this station also had a McDonald's and a mini casino for some on the road gambling. We would totally recommend this station to anyone in passing. read more

Love's has 24 hr / 7 days a week fuel available, cause when you need it out here on the open road, there ain't a whole lot of other places to stop. We took on fuel here, decent price, and it beats California prices that's for sure. Clean restrooms, but I think there's better food available back in Elko, so if you're westbound, wait till Elko. read more

Well one of the reasons we stopped here was to check out the showers after a long drive and campsite with no showers- when I inquired I was told the showers were sold to professional drivers because they don't have showers in their cabs - oh really, no showers in cab? Duh. The homeless people camped out front begging for money were also a deterrent from making this our pit stop on the road. The plus - diesel gas price was fair. read more

I have stopped here many times on the way from Elko to Vegas and it's really a great one stop shop. I've even broken down in there parking lot for 2 hours and they had every thing I needed to get me back on the road there automotive section.
