It was especially great for us that it was covered seating, as it was raining all day. We started with some bruschetta. It was forgettable bread but the tomatoes and oil were both pretty good - not amazing. We eat got a pizza, and both fell in love. We went here on recommendation that it was the best pizza in italy (including Naples) and we concur (only thing better is chicago deep dish). They didn't have any tables outside so we were seated inside. Service (3.5/5): No WiFi unfortunately which isn't great for an international traveler like me. Standard European service. They did hook us up with some complimentary limoncello shots which was a really nice touch. Ambiance (3.5/5): A little quieter since it's off the beaten path which I like. A pleasant, homey restaurant. Drinks (4.5/5): We shared a bottle of wine. And the aforementioned limoncello shots. Food (4/5): We went with their pasta for two deal where each person gets three different types of pasta that you choose from six or so options. I love getting a variety of dishes so this was a nice way to do it. Not huge portions given the price but still delicious. The dishes were served to us quickly and we got to try some pastas we had never heard of. Overall: When in Bologna, Osteria Broccaindosso makes for a fine choice. The tortellini itself was simple, with some meat and cheese. Seems like a nice comfort food for those who grow up with it. The tagliatelle al ragú was seasoned well too, although the actual pasta was not as bouncy as others I've had. Not bad though. A lot of people but the line moves pretty fast. They have Panettone boxes hanging from the ceiling and art work all over the walls. They roast their own coffee in house making really good cappuccino. Their pastries are great too. Since we're here around Christmas, they recommend us getting the Panettone. We got their apricot and chocolate Panettone and it's amazing!
