Dr Perkey and her medical assistant are wonderful. I left a message with her medical assistant and didn't hear back for a few weeks then got a random call from her that Dr Perkey would see me again. I so appreciate it as she is hands down the best doctor I have ever had who actually cares and listens and helps you to find solutions. The building was a large one and a lot going on but the process of check in and getting to the doctor was seamless and easy. To be able to get educated and compassionate care by a provider who keeps up to date on brain injury and gives you tools to use makes a world of a difference! So glad I am able to come here and have no problem making the drive anytime until we can move to bend which is in our 2 year plan.

There was a point where I announced to the authorities and Dr. Belza that I was a long suffering domestic abuse survivor. I asked to pay for the surgery out of pocket and he had us talk to "Mike" who deals with financial issues. The experience with Mike was misleading, just like Belza and his staff, confusing and he seemed to make up his responses on the fly. In the end Dr. Belza said he was leaving his practice, having personal surgery and was not sure he could help me. All those years that he said he could and he can't even tell me himself! I would advise anyone to search hard for a good neurosurgeon to help your painful problem. Update: I found Dr. Manoso in Portland and he was shocked that I had been strung along for 7 years! One visit to him and he immediately put me on the surgery list, even bumped me up. On July 13,2020 I am finally getting my first SI Joint fusion surgery. Then I will go back and have my left side done. Very respectful doctor who has ethics and the abilities to help patients get their lives back and no long be crippled and riddled with pain. The opposite of my expensive years believing in Dr. Belza and his office. If you ever have to speak with "Mike" proceed with caution because he did not deliver, just like Belza. I was diagnosed with Dupuytren's contracture by Dr. Verheyden, presenting as a minor condition in…read moremy pinky finger. He recommended an injection treatment. During the procedure, he identified what he described as an additional "flat node" in my ring finger and suggested injecting that as well, which I agreed to. Ten days after the procedure, I experienced what I believed to be a rupture in my ring finger. Dr. Verheyden assessed the symptoms as part of the normal healing process. After three follow-up appointments with the same assessment, I sought an MRI, which revealed complete ruptures of the A2, A3, and A4 pulley tendons in my ring finger, as well as a complete rupture of the A2 pulley in my pinky finger. I subsequently required reconstructive surgery on the A2 pulleys in both fingers, using a graft from my palmaris longus tendon. Since the surgery, I have experienced approximately 50% reduced grip strength, limited flexion in my ring finger, and ongoing pain.

Enter Brittany Estuesta. She's knowledgeable, patient, empathetic and has a great sense of humor. She patiently worked with me to release the tension in my jaw, neck and shoulders. In the office we worked through jaw and neck exercises. She stressed that "consistency was key" and for homework provided a variety of exercises which I completed in between visits. Over time we worked through the majority of the issues, but every once in a while, I catch myself slipping back into old habits. Thanks to Brittany, I have the knowledge and exercises to help me refocus and correct the bad habits before they become major issues. I'd recommend her to anyone!!
