A tram is also available for a round trip adventure but the bike was just too fun to pass up. Along the way we saw all kinds of little critters, snakes, fish and birds. Stopped at the tree house, chapel and most of the waterfalls. On bike with all the stops about 2 hours, walking could easily be 3+. Bikes are $15 each and I highly recommend getting there early so you have your pick cause the good ones go fast. Some have baskets and you should get one of those and then fill it with a picnic lunch. Little under $20 per person for entry, with discounts for veterans, seniors and children. Large parking but the place is popular, so again if possible arrive early.

Shortly before we were scheduled to start, Dave pulled up with the guests from the previous tour. They were excited from their trip and each of them had fully caught their limit. At their request, Dave cleaned and filleted their fish for them and they left extremely happy. We were excited to start as well! Dave did a fantastic job, very courteous and helpful. We didn't have to worry about anything. He had rods for us and made sure that we were always able to keep a line in the water. He answered any questions we had and was a true professional. My kids have grown up in a state where fireworks aren't allowed because the entire state would ignite with just the thought of launching a bottle rocket. So we thought it would be a fun 'socially distanced' vacation to head to the lake! I grew up on a ski boat, visiting Table Rock as a kid/teen/20 something and have always LOVED it there. We frequented What's Up Doc and stayed in the Kimberling City area almost exclusively. I wanted to rent a boat for the entire week we were there. Pipe dream right? Last minute trip AND a boat?!? I called multiple times a day for 5 days in a row before we got there! Everybody was always so nice to me. Nobody was ever mean or annoyed that I kept calling By the time we arrived to our condo (which was also awesome) I just knew Jesse would find me a boat. We had been able to secure 2 different boats for the end of the week but I wanted one all week. We arrived Saturday afternoon on the 4th and less than 24 hours later I got the call from What's Up Dock that they had a boat for me!! And when we went to get it they said there was a cancelation and we got to keep it all week!! I was soooooo excited! Jesse and Sarah and their 'crew' are an amazing staff of well mannered, helpful humans. They made our experience at the lake exponentially better. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thanks guys!! The showers and toilets could be cleaner but I feel like there is only so much they can do with the amount of lake swimming and sheer amount of folks using the restrooms. I definitely recommend water shoes not only for the lake but also the showers. Although I brought supplies for making French press coffee, I ended up getting an iced late at the coffee shop in the main office. We had some of the breakfast buffet (carton eggs, sausage, hashbrowns) and it was all pretty good. We signed up for a glow tube night trip on Friday and a float trip on Saturday. Both were fun but I don't think I'd need to do 2 float trips in a weekend in the future. The resort drops you off at the tubing drop site up the river and you end either at the resort or a mile up the river where they'll bus you back. It's pricey but it does include a lot of amenities and is definitely a one stop shop for tubing. I think next year we'll look into the cabins or pods. ;tldr it's pricey but you get hot showers, toilets, coffee, and busing for the float trips built in. Late night loop is rowdy so if you want something more quiet, consider avoiding this area.

One of Branson, Mo greatest gems is this pretty little lake…read more Some of the best mornings of my life have been spent on this quite little lake; guiding kayak tours in the spring and summer months, admiring all the adorable, chicks, ducks, Heron, turtles, fish, Canada Geese, and bald eagles-it was wonderful to watch the seasons change with the chaning colors of the leaves and the changing colors on the breasts of all the waterfowl; saying good morning to all the polite and funny fly-fishermen at dawn; giggling at the beavers who would sometimes scare the cr*p outta me by splashing into the water while I was admiring a Great Blue Heron; paddling my kayak through the icey waters, myself and my kayak covered in snow, during the winter. What I really loved, during the super-hot summer months, was when they would do a dam release and the cold water from the bottom of Table Rock lake would turn Lake Taneycomo into a super-cold 40degrees stream, creating this beautiful foggy mist, making morning kayak trips gloriously romantic, refreshing, and a luxurious treat. Some may think it's a stream or a gentle river upon first inspection because there is usually a bit of a current. This is because they let do "dam releases" from Table rock lake which regulates the lake levels of Taneycomo. So, even though it moves like a river it is technically a lake since it is dammed on both sides. SUGGESTIONS: Bring a kayak. You'll see so much more. You'll never disturb the little critters. Youll get to sneek up on happy little turtle families. Make more friend with the fly-fishermen by telling them where all the great fishing holes are without disturbing the fish. Bring a camera. Enjoy!
