We visit from California each summer, and hit up Foggdukkers most days there. It's like a place from a movie - apparently cobbled together from bits & pieces of drift wood, random old worn statues standing around, plastic chairs & old picnic tables (unless you snag an Adirondack chair right on the water). The coffee (and tea) selection is great, the owner is friendly, and the view is excellent. You may see seals or dolphins, or enjoy a campfire on the best days. Even though they don't have a big selection, the service & coffee are both AMAZING not to mention you get a view of the ocean to boot! Was on a bit of a Saturday joy ride and found myself driving down the Island Highway was from Campbell River. I saw FD as I was zooming past and actually turned around to go back. Lucky to find a spot in their parking lot and delighted to find a take out window. The lady working was personable and smiling and Hope and I got a large coffee and went to join the crowd on the "patio". So nice to sit outside in the sun in early March right on the ocean. I felt like I was in a friend's yard and everyone was chatting. I must admit, Hope being as gorgeous as she is is quite a draw. Bonus? Coffee was delish- I will be back!! read more

I'm not sure about the other reviews but I had several small americanos and they were delicious. I had an early morning conference call and went into town very early to get a good cell signal and this place was open at 6am. As I mentioned the Americanos were perfect. I added a extra shot to mine because I like them strong. The Internet was solid and I was able to use VOIP for my call. And what's not to like about the location? And the beachcomber vibe of this place? 5 stars for me. read more

My wife had a hot chocolate and was one of the worst she ever had. I took a sip and agreed. A package of no name would have been better. I had just a normal coffee it was mediocre. A Mcdonalds coffee has better taste and flavour. Besides the ocean view which honestly a person can see anywhere. It will be my first and last time here. Staff was friendly but quality of products used was horrendous. Not sure why they are busy beside the view. read more

Great view, pleasant friendly staff & amazing coffee. i personally ordered an Americano and must say it was the best one i have had since coming to town and i have had a few. they also offer soup unfortunately i didnt try it but wow did it smell great and i will definitely make sure to come back on a drizzly day for some soup and to cozy up in the warming shack. read more

The ocean views (watching whales or pods of dolphins going by) around the cosy fire outside on a great day is perfection on earth. A fantastic coffee bar, smoothies and teas with make them yourself waffles with all of the toppings. Family friendly and pet friendly. Young and old love to sit outside and talk with the owners Kim and Harry who are amazing and fun. Watch the seals, whales, eagles and cruise ships go bye all day and night. In the winter come inside sit by the woodstove and read a book or surf the net. It is like Cheers but without the booze. Come on down and try it. Tell them Laney sent you.
