This is a general review as we have eaten here a total of about 5 times. We do not live in the area (about an hr away) [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small old style coffee shop. It has the bar with stools which seats about 10-12 people and about 6 tables that seat 2.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's clean and the menu is burgers and hotdogs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is great and the place clean. The people are very friendly and down to earth. The burgers are phenomenal as well as the fries. Everything is reasonably priced. They close early (no dinner just lunch). And you really need to get there before they open as there is already a line. That is what we have experienced when we have been. So this should tell you their burgers are awesome. read more

Service is friendly, and they will have your order out in just a few minutes. The menu is simple, and the burger and fries made for a great lunch. I have been coming here for as long as I can remember. My late uncle used to bring my sister and me here. He liked how there were all men in the kitchen. My grandmother used to bring us here too. Good old fashioned burgers and friendly faces. Seating is limited so expect a wait, it'll be well worth it. There is a drive up window so you can call ahead and pick up your order there or come inside, have a seat at the bar top, and enjoy an ice cold soda while you wait. Everyone leaves full and happy with their lunch choice. I hope this place never leaves. read more

Visiting Ada for work and stopped in to Folgers on our lunch break today after hearing from multiple staff members at the hospital that it is a "must" to visit Folgers for lunch while we are here. The locals definitely love this place! Apparently it has even been featured on the television show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives". This is definitely a unique place! It's a tiny building and the sign for the restaurant is barely visible. You walk inside to just a few small tables and a diner style area squeezed in with stools lined across the counter. It feels like you're stepping back in time when you enter this establishment. There is an old fridge that barely fits behind the counter and dated appliances lined across the back. The menu is very simple. Hamburgers, cheeseburgers and fries. The burgers were good and so were the fries! I didn't feel that any of it was too greasy. It was a good meal that made this restaurant worth visiting here in Ada. Quaint is the best way to describe this mom and pops restaurant! read more

I tried to like this place. It is a local institution. But then again so are prisons and insane asylums. I have been there twice now and the workers are very unfriendly. In fact downright nasty. The first time I visited it took 45 minutes for a simple burger and fries (that's after waiting 15 minutes to put in an order) the burger was OK but nothing special. The fries were greasy and WAY overcooked. I thought everyone can have a bad day so I thought I would give them a second chance. I returned last night. The place was empty except for one other customer. The atmosphere was much like a morgue. The girl behind the counter ignored me. After ten minutes I was getting ready to leave when a cook came out and took my order. I didn't think it was possible to have a dry overdone burger with no flavor on top of a piece of wax paper that is coated in grease but apparently it can be done. The burger was so dry and nearly burned I couldn't chew it. The fries was so greasy and overcooked I couldn't eat them. For the amount I spent on a burger, fries and a Coke I could have two at McDonalds and got a better meal (if that doesn't say it all I don't know what will) Avoid this place like the plague! Go to a gas station and get a burnt, dried out corn dog. It will taste better. read more

My burger and fries were great but when my husband asked for a simple side of BBQ sauce the guy in the kitchen yelled at him about how they don't do that. Long story short: Go to Sonic. I heard so many good things about this place for so long that my friend & I decided to try it out. I went to the drive thru & an older woman opened the window & asked what I wanted. I told her 2 cheeseburger baskets & she said okay. About 10-15 minutes later, a younger woman came to the window & said she thought the other lady helped me; I looked at her puzzled & said that she had. The woman I was talking to said she might have but didn't write it down so she probably forgot; what did I want. The second lady was really nice & friendly through the whole exchange. So I waited, waited, & waited some more. I had to text my friend & tell him not to go to lunch yet because this might take longer than expected. I'm so glad I did, because I was there for about 30 more minutes. The younger woman came to the window occasionally, asking if I was fine & gave me my drinks. She explained that the wait was because a group of doctors had an order & the kitchen staff was swamped, but they were bagging mine up as we were speaking. Thank goodness! I get my $20 ready to hand to her & she tells me the price: $19 & some change for 2 cheeseburger baskets & 2 cokes. Reluctantly I gave her the money & got my food. When I got the food out I was so disappointed. The fries tasted like they had been double dipped (dipped & re dipped in grease to warm it back up) & the burger tasted like a burger from the Sonic but twice the price. I was extremely disappointed by this place. I read the Yelp reviews on it & they were mixed so I decided to try it. The burger was good; if just wasn't worth the almost $10 for the food as a whole. Like I stated above, if you want a burger similar to this place, just go to Sonic; you don't have to wait 45 minutes & it's about 1/4 the price. read more

It isn't too surprising given that the walls are covered in a layer of nicotine-like grease residue, which have never been cleaned. Folgers is an Ada landmark. I used to eat there when I was a small child and surprisingly the burgers are every bit as good as I remember them when I was young. Making a burger isn't rocket science but there is an art to it and they have it down to a t. They have some of the best fries I have eaten. Some might say it is expensive.
