It was a cool, Sunday morning and finally decided to stop and try this little place out. Let me…read moretell you that the parking lot was full as well as the waiting lobby. They told me it would be about a 10 minute wait and that was about what i waited before being seating. I knew by the way this place was packed and people willing to wait, that it must be worth it. I was not disappointed. As soon as i was seated i was greeted by my server and ordered a coffee and a Dr. Pepper. This gave me a couple of minutes to look over the menu. Before i knew it, in the blink of an eye and before i could scan over the forst page of the menu, the server was back woth my coffee and drink. While sipping on my coffee i browsed the menu and found what inwanted for breafast. Which by they way, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I ordered the double (see pic of menu for desription) As i watched the room noticing that as soon as a party left the bus boys were on the table quickly to clean and turn it over and the hostess already had the next group ready to be seated. This explained while the wait wasnt as long as expected as they turn over tables quickly. The next thing is knew, my food was at the table, hot and fresh. The food didn't disappoint either as it was all cooked perfectly and had good flavor. My server checked on me as what I consider perfect timing and the right amount of times where you are not bothered but dont have to look around for a refill or assistance. All in all, this place was a quaint little country kitchen, with excellent service and food. They are well staffed to handle the crowds with ease and plenty of cooks to get your food out in a timely and fresh n hot manner. Awesome place.

Good food and Service. The owners name is Phil Tabor. We…read moreknow this because we stopped in around 8:40am on a Sunday. It was busy but we got sat as soon as we walked in. There were lots of waitresses in there with t-shirts on with Phil's face on them. I guess it was his birthday and they surprised him. It was good to see that they all love him. This is an old cafe. The seats aren't the most comfortable, but pretty expected since we were in a cafe. You could tell there were lots of locals in there. My mom got the blueberry short stack. She said they were great. Came out with three pancakes that had the blueberries cooked inside and on top. Pancakes were the size of a plate. They filled her up and she couldn't eat them all. My dad and husband got regular breakfast items. Toast, eggs, bacon, and hash browns. It all looked good and they ate all of it. I had the chicken fry with white gravy, 2 eggs, grits, and hash browns. All of my food was good. I was a bit disappointed in the gravy because it didn't seem homemade. Hash browns and eggs cooked perfectly. Grits were hot. No special flavors. Sorry I forgot to take photos.

Walked in and there were about 2 people other than my table in there it was extremely slow for dinner... red flag. Also didnt look very clean it was pretty dingy. Waitress came by and asked if we needed a minute I said yes and ordered a water with lemon. Looked over the menu and decided on the 3 meat lineman. Got sausage, 2 ribs, and brisket. For 21ish bucks. The Waitress took the order and a few minutes later it came out. Also forgot to add my 2 sides were French fries and hush puppies. Looked at the plate wasnt any thing special by far. Brisket was ok nothing to brag about. The sausage tasted like store bought sausage and the cheap brand eckrich sausage there was absolutely no snap to the sausage. The pork ribs were actually pretty decent. Hush puppies were good and the French fries were horrible. The French fries I have to give it to them they tried they were fresh cut fries but the seasoning and the greasy Ness killed it for me the fries were not crispy at all they needed to keep them in the fryer for a bit longer. All in all for the price it was ok would I go out of my way to come back NO. but in a pinch next to the hotel id probably come back if I was starving. Didn't finish the food and took a ribs home to me the ribs tasted better cold later on that night Oh and almost forgot! got up to take a call and slipped and almost busted my ass on some kind of food that was left on the floor. SMH. Waitress apologized and cleaned up but not very well cause all i did was smear and my boot slid when i walked back in. It's a bit hidden behind the Hampton Inn but still easy enough to find. I had the 3 meat dinner plate with 2 orders of ribs and catfish, a side of baked beans and okra. The catfish was my honest favorite...but I may also be biased as I love fried catfish. The ribs were very tender and had a great bark on them. I didn't try their hot bbq sauce but the mild was delicious. Service was incredibly friendly. Makes you feel right at home!

When we were first seated, the table wasn't clean. When my sister politely mentioned it, the waitress seemed more defensive than apologetic and moved us to an even more uncomfortable table. Service overall was very slow, especially considering they were not busy. It took a long time just to get drinks, my tea was never offered a refill, and my mom was brought the completely wrong meal -- she ordered a chicken sandwich and received a hamburger instead. The food itself was honestly pretty disappointing for the cost. Ralph and I both ordered the chicken fried chicken, which was around $27 each, and it came out cold. The green beans were cold too and honestly not good at all. Overall, the food felt very average and definitely not worth the price point. The one highlight was the famous quail poppers -- those were actually really good and probably the best thing we had all night. Sadly, after all four of us talked about it afterward, we agreed the experience was maybe a 3 out of 5 at best, and that's being generous. We really wanted to love it, but it just fell short in both service and food quality.

There was an OKC thunder watch party on the patio, so we sat there and enjoyed the game. The inside had a more laid back environment, but I enjoyed the patio. The food was really good too! Most of us got burgers, but we also enjoyed some good appetizers. Highly recommend the dip platter to start. Our server was really nice and attentive, despite the chaos of the watch party and a busy night. Highly recommend coming here for the food and events they host!
