Lovely but reasonably priced items. Love their hats! Great items for kitchens as well.

The loveliest shop, ever. Since its beginning. And peaceful, the vibe is peaceful. It's like getting a massage for the soul.

Astrid was so friendly and helpful, to the point of actually reading my daughter a book so that I could shop.

After seeing their advertisement on tv, I went to Frank Webb Home in South Portland today. I needed…read morea couple of vanities, faucets, shower fixtures and a kitchen fixture. I arrived and a nice receptionist asked if she could help. I said I wanted to look around first as I wanted to see if they had anything that I was interested in. I saw two vanities on the floor that I liked. I saw a sales person walking around with a couple and discussing all of the floor model vanities with them, which made me believe that I could order one of the vanities on the floor. I returned to the receptionist and asked if I could get some information on a couple of the vanities. She said that Charlotte would help me, but I should continue to walk around while she called Charlotte. Charlotte appeared and I introduced myself to her and explained what I was looking for. She, with a book in hand, immediately informed me that all of the floor models were not what they were selling because of something to do with the manufacturer and showed me a book of vanities which were similar to those I could get online or maybe at Lowes or Home Depot. I was looking for something unique. I asked it I could buy a particular floor model and she told that the employees get first pick since they were no longer making those models. I told her that the commercials were misleading. Her response was that the company who provided all of the floor models were no longer providing the vanities and that I would have to order from the book which would take 5 to 6 weeks. Never going back there again.

I also get presents from here. To those who don't know, they also have samples of olive oil right in this location. I prefer the Scarborough location since they have their own parking spaces. The folks who run the place are also really nice and helpful without being overbearing. Some prices can be high but you get quality stuff. I wish they still sell chocolate bars from Davao, Philippines!

I enjoyed perusing the aisles and displays to look for things I didn't even know I needed. There's a fine line between 'want' and 'need' and that line is easily erased here. The prices are the first thing you'll notice. While they are not necessarily "high" for quality items and equipment, they are a little on the pricier side. Perhaps that's unfair to say since all the Le Creuset stuff is placed right in the front of the store. I did end up getting some charming plates (I already have the perfect dish in mind) and a few other little gadgets that I decided I ultimately "needed". They are friendly here. Though I did not ask for assistance personally, I overheard someone else ask one of the gents working there about the difference between the cheaper and more expensive pans and he was quite thorough with his layman's response. I love stores like this but somehow I felt that they had just a little bit less variety than I would have liked. They do seem to favor a handful of brands, leaving options pretty minimal. Still, it is a big space and the selection/quality decimates a place like Target or BB&B. Yes. I'm sure I'll return someday soon.

They specialize in knives and offer a good selection including the Henckels professional series and Global whose modern and sleek design have both beauty and great quality. You can find lots of pots and pans here along with my favorite Le Creuset; a brand that keeps coming up with more and more great colors. Now I want turquoise! The owners are very friendly and were most helpful even with our meager purchase that day of just two wine bottle stoppers. One of the best things about visiting this store is the owners' two black labs who "help out" by lying about up front or off to the side of the entrance on their dog beds (L.L. Bean dog beds of course). And lucky us, the day we were there, the owners' son's dog, a black Lab mix, was also there making for a 3-dog day! If you love dogs and great kitchenware, this is your store. Sending a special snout smooch to Cyrus.
