The firefighters were super sweet (as is always the case at any firehouse I've ever visited). This place has the coolest collection of trucks I've ever seen! They have a huge converted army truck for wilderness fires, a Ghostbusters-style vehicle perfectly painted to match the neon yellow fire trucks, and an old vintage style fire truck, also painted the neon yellow of the fleet. They let the kids climb in the army/wildfire truck and gave a lot of cool details on everything. Very fun! Even better, the hoagie was packed full of quality cold cuts, and ratios of traditional Italian sandwich components were perfect. Only $10 for the huge sandwich, chips and water! Great way to support this great firehouse!

Troy explained how they were supporting the house while this department was on a call fighting a blaze since early morning. I honor and respect those who serve their community with such bravery. True Heroes! They don't just fight fires, they provide medical treatment and rescue people from dangerous circumstances. They train on fire safety as well as the importance of properly installing smoke alarms. We talked about the Honolulu Fire Department and how the trucks are distinct. Each station has its unique design and features based on location. I didn't realize that you needed so much training for the various sections of the fire truck. I really enjoyed this visit the most.

This is not what I expected to find at a Fire House, it felt very comfortable with a smaller room off to the side with a bar and a door leading to an area for food prep on the other side of the room. This space was obviously designed for events, it is very elegant with a clear entry way for guests. Bathrooms were clean and out of the way of the party. I would encourage others to take a look at this venue. Plenty of parking and an overall wonderful experience make this the perfect space for sweet 16s, mitzvahs, showers, and even weddings!

A good choice. A cold veggie tray rounded out the apps. Again, perfect, but uninspired. The main course was a selection of pizza choices. The kids were totally stoked with this option. There were several cake choices for dessert. There was something for everyone. As we were finishing our meals, a guy showed up to make balloon animals for the kids - they thought of everything! It was so hot this day that the bench paint started to stick on you if you left your arm on it for too long. There is an indoor area where food was served and where people sat. There were also a few bathrooms located near the entrance of the walkway. A nice space for an event rental!

When I saw an event invite for "Grocery Bingo" at this fire station, I first wondered what Grocery Bingo was, exactly. I've heard of Designer Handbag Bingo, but Groceries? Must check this out, especially as it benefits a fire company. Fellow Yelper Dee M joined me, which was lots of fun! We arrived early, as the doors opened. We ha e learned from experience to get to a game early for good seats. The station looks very new and well taken care of. Everything was neatly stored. Bathroom was immaculate. We played in a truck bay - all the trucks were parked outside. The floor was polished and clean. There's plenty of free parking in a lot they share with the Lazaretto Ballroom And the Lazaretto Quarantine Station. No problem parking even with an event at the Ballroom. The volunteers were all super nice, the cookies Dee bought were delicious. Grocery Bingo means when you win you can go up to a table where there are all kinds of groceries and choose one item. The "special" games (additional cost) had either bundled groceries - a box with breakfast foods, or sheet cakes. The "grand" prize of a TV for the last "special" game. They were generous with their wins. They had a 50/50 and a large raffle. We had a blast. I am continuing my "winning absolutely nothing at Bingo" streak and I am fine. I go for the fun and to support first responders. I'd definitely play there again. Nice people, generous with number of winners, great cookies, clean and neat space. Well done.
