Initially everything seemed in order. They accepted the work. As the date approached, they did not contact us to confirm our paint colours, the total cost and what time the painter(s) would arrive. We attempted to contact Pure Painters in order to confirm all of this, not once but four times. It was not until the last time that we received any response. The owner confirmed that a painter was scheduled for the NEXT DAY and requested that we email him the details regarding paint and contact information and that he would answer all of our questions then. He never responded. However, a painter did show up the next day, but we would have appreciated knowing what time to have expected him. The painter was a credit to the organization. He worked hard and did a good job. The owner called us two days after the job was complete, asking if we needed anything painted. He didn't even recognize that we were existing clients that had already tried to work with him. I told him that the job was complete, we were happy with the painter and his work, but that we were unhappy and frustrated with his level of communication. He told us that he found it frustrating to work with customers that would "call him 20 times looking for confirmation". He inferred that we harassed him by trying to tell him the colours we wanted, asking how much the job would cost in total and asking when would the painter arrive. Needless to say we were not impressed with the rudeness and poor level of customer service. Avoid Pure Painters!!!

He said okay and told me to call him if I had any questions or concerns or needed any advice along the way. Then he told me I could use his discount in the paint stores since I was going to buy my own paint to do the work myself!! I couldn't believe it. He was so so nice and I genuinely believe that I could call him over the next couple days while I'm painting and ask him any questions and he'd be happy to help out. I am truly sorry I could not hire him this time around, but he'll be at the top of my list next time I need painting. I was so impressed!

What they did have however, was: - a fast response time to my initial call - fairly immediate site visit to scope out the work - demonstrated experience and painting expertise during the walk through - Very reasonable pricing - Pay ONLY when the work is done - FAST, I mean FAST. They were in and out in less than 48 hours A trick they pull is that they want you to pay at night time when you can't effectively assess the quality of their work. After payment the next day we noticed that they missed several spots as they rushed the job and an entire wall inside one of the closets. Kam ceased to return our phone calls and never followed through with his promises for customer service. If you use these guys, be absolutely sure you check over their work in daylight as once you pay them, you'll never see them again.

He works alone and needed 2 days: May 30-31. Two days before the schedule he called to confirm, asking if we were set 'for tomorrow'. I corrected him, saying it was the day after, on Wednesday. That's what I meant, he replied... OK... On Wednesday May 30 he was late for more than an hour, and did not answer the phone. When he showed up, the story was that his car got hit from behind the day before, he had to rent a car, forgot the keys in the trunk and locked himself out, and left the phone in the car. OK... He started working and on the second day he texted me to email hin $70. He forgot to bring cash, his card was at the max and he needed money for the paint to continue working, so I emailed him the money... He said he would only except cash ($1,100 was the deal, including the paint) which was fine with me. I got the money from the bank but I withdrew more so I could pay the cleaning lady to clean the condo after he has left. I totally forgot that there was more money in the envelope and gave him all the money $1,500. I admit I made a mistake and didn't count the money. Inexplicable and stupid but I still like to think that an honest business man would not take an advantage of me. Kam did though. My calls, text messages and voicemail did not do much. For more than a week he kept repeating that he would email me the extra but he never did. I offered him to keep $50 and email me $350 to which he replied "thank you, appreciate it"... I drove to his "office" (private house, actually) in Coquitlam. He was not home, and the lady who opened the door explained that he lives with his friends... Anyway, stay away from this guy and hire a reliable, established professional.
