Initially everything seemed in order. They accepted the work. As the date approached, they did not contact us to confirm our paint colours, the total cost and what time the painter(s) would arrive. We attempted to contact Pure Painters in order to confirm all of this, not once but four times. It was not until the last time that we received any response. The owner confirmed that a painter was scheduled for the NEXT DAY and requested that we email him the details regarding paint and contact information and that he would answer all of our questions then. He never responded. However, a painter did show up the next day, but we would have appreciated knowing what time to have expected him. The painter was a credit to the organization. He worked hard and did a good job. The owner called us two days after the job was complete, asking if we needed anything painted. He didn't even recognize that we were existing clients that had already tried to work with him. I told him that the job was complete, we were happy with the painter and his work, but that we were unhappy and frustrated with his level of communication. He told us that he found it frustrating to work with customers that would "call him 20 times looking for confirmation". He inferred that we harassed him by trying to tell him the colours we wanted, asking how much the job would cost in total and asking when would the painter arrive. Needless to say we were not impressed with the rudeness and poor level of customer service. Avoid Pure Painters!!!

Sure we could do it ourselves, but, it would look like a do it yourself job. We wanted more so after reading a number of reviews, we contacted Warline Painting. Warren came to our home and did a walk-through of all areas to be painted, made notes about a special paint for the washrooms and all that other painting stuff. We were impressed with the professionalism and he agreed to provide us with a quote. He did not provide the quote on the spot, but took about a day and gave us a firm quote that included materials and labour. We had been expecting a higher quote and we were delighted when a the quote came in for a lot less than what we had expected. (1000 - 1500 less) We said yes and the next step was to pick some paint colours. Neither one of us are great colour pickers so we requested help from Heidi, a colour consultant/decorator, who is part of the Warline package. If you hire her without the company you pay a separate fee, but if you are getting the painting done through Warline, she comes for free. She is great, very knowledgeable and confident with her talents. Within an hour we picked the colours for our home and Heidi prepared a special paint palate that had our colours in a name brand, high quality paint that would not affect our quote. She took the time to look at our layout, listened to wants (airy, bright). She pointed out the colour choices that would work with the kitchen, with our cupboards, backsplash, tiled floors and hardwood. She worked with our desire to keep everything bright and airy and within an hour we had our colours. She is a professional and I give her top marks, she really worked for us. The actual painting and finishing work went very well, this company hires people who are looking to work for a solid company and it shows. Everyone is a professional and the completed job looks great! Needless to say, we highly recommend Warline for painting and color consulting/decorating services.
