Extremely bizarre experience. I felt like I had gone to a time share pitch meeting instead of the dentist. I'm a new patient and I went in for a ROUTINE cleaning and annual exam. The staff was very nice, up until I refused to get the deep cleaning they were pushing for, until the point I felt uncomfortable (and I've worked in sales before). They refused to do the routine cleaning, and were almost offended when I kept declining the other treatment since they had not even checked with my insurance whether it was covered or not. I don't understand why a business would refuse ALL services and not get paid for at least SOMETHING. I went and got a second opinion and turns out I do not have gum disease, nor needed the treatment they were pushing me to get. I wish I would've seen the Yelp reviews before going. read more

I've had several bad experiences at this dentist office, but my most recent visit was the worst. I went in a few weeks ago because one of my crowns had broken. The staff checked my mouth and told me everything looked fine -- until I had to point out the very obvious crack myself. Only then did they finally notice it. The doctor became rude and dismissive, clearly embarrassed that she had missed something so visible. This is just one example of how unprofessional and disorganized this office is. The receptionists never seem to know what's going on, and the doctors don't seem to take the time to actually listen or pay attention to their patients. I've tried giving this place multiple chances, but after this experience, I definitely won't be returning or recommending it to anyone. I used to be a customer for years but will no longer go back. This place only cares about pushing their new products and services. I came here last week for a scheduled cleaning, only for them to push additional products onto me and refused to just give me my regular cleaning that I came for. They wanted me to pay an additional $200 for a new service that I did not ask for. When I declined, the billing assistant guy was visibly annoyed and had an attitude. My initial call began with Dentists of Doral. For a week, I attempted to get an appointment at this office to see an endodontist, to no avail. Via telephone, a female took my personal information and said a coordinator would contact me before closing, to follow up. No return call that day. I contacted them the following day. The young man who answered the phone said there was no record of the information I had provided the day before. In turn, he gave me the telephone number to call Fointainedbleaus Dentistry. He said they were both the same. That is when I spoke to Melisa. She sounded very pleasant over the telephone. She took my information and assured me she would contact me with an appointment. Unfortunately, three weeks later, she never had the courtesy nor professionalism to call back as promised with an appointment Of course, I have since moved on to another reliable and professional dental office. I am certain not to ever do business with either of these dental offices or recommend them. Before contacting those folks, I had visited another dental office that referred me to a specialist. I did not choose the referring dental office because I do not have dental insurance, only a discount plan, they are not participants in the plan. I have been going to this dentist for 2 years and had an okay experience. The dentist was nice and so were the hygienists. I think they are having issues with scheduling. I made an online appointment for 8am today and received a confirmation text for the 8am appointment. When I arrived at 8am, the receptionist told me that my appointment was actually at 10:30am and no doctor was available to serve me at 8am. I showed her the confirmation email with the 8am time clearly marked and she said there was nothing she could do. She didn't appear to seem concerned about this. This is the worse place I've ever used for any type of healthcare. It usually take 1 - 2 weeks to have a basic prosthesis done anywhere in Miami, some even advertise one day service. I've been going to Fontainbleau dentistry for 21/2 months and still don't have my prosthesis. They give an appointment and when you get there they tell you it is another date. The first time I assumed it was an honest mistake but the second time I realized it is their way of doing business. Growing up I always had a fear of dentist and would even go longer than 6 months between cleanings just because I was that terrified! I was recommended this office from a family friend and my experience was the BEST I ever had. My dentist greeted me from the beginning and she was so kind and throughout the whole process she explained everything to me to ensure I was comfortable. She told me I needed to remove my wisdom teeth and so I booked an appointment right there to remove them with their oral surgeon, for this week! My dental hygienist was Stephanie and she was so incredible! She truly was so kind, gentle, patient, and also made me feel very comfortable. She gave me the best cleaning I've ever received my whole entire life. I recommended my dad to this dentist right after my experience and he was blown away as well!The whole staff from the front desk girls, to the X-ray technician, dental hygienist, insurance rep, and the dentist of course. This dentist charged me and never submitted the claim to my insurance company. She overcharged me instead of my insurance company. Not only that, she wasn't clear about what I had to pay. She charged me $400 plus 190 for lab work that she didn't take the time to submit the claim to my insurance company. Not only that, her hygienists are too violent when it comes to doing cleaning, I had to ask for anesthesia, and one of the hygienist didn't want to do it. I had to tell her to do it since I'm sensitive to cleaning my teeth. They're not careful when it comes to cleaning procedures. I had to take Tylenol for two days after the cleaning, it was a horrible experience. I've been to other dentists and it wasn't that traumatic, but this doctors office I don't recommend it. This place is a scam. I came here for a cleaning and I was told that I had 6 cavities and it was going to cost around $4,000 WITH good insurance. That is insane. I only filled 3 of them and denied the unnecessary mouth guard, and other treatments they suggested. In total it cost $1,500. The whole process took over 8 hours and had to come back the next day for another 3 hours... One of the fillings was painful and constantly made my gums bleed so I went back to which they told me nothing was wrong. I decided to never go back. After all of that trouble another dentist told me they messed up one of my fillings so bad that I'm going to have to have a root canal in the future to fix it because they drilled so close to the nerve. Great. The only pro to this place was that the woman doing my cleaning and the X-ray tech was very friendly. I recently went to Sage Dental in Pinecrest. What a WONDERFUL experience! I filled my other 3 cavities, had a teeth cleaning, gum treatment, and X-rays and with my same insurance it was $40!! And the results are WAY BETTER! I also received a free teeth whitening system to take home with me. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and the location was extremely clean and organized. Can't even compare the two experiences! TRUST ME when I say that you will regret going to Fountainbleau Dentistry. It will cost you time, lots of money, and the well being of your smile. read more

Dr. Gonzalez-Vigon and her team are great and always make you feel welcome and comfortable. I have had Cerec crowns, fillings, and dental cleanings and I think they are absolutely great. Whenever I have had any emergencies where I need to see the dentist right away, there is always a same day appointment ready for me. I feel I'm treated with dignity, professionalism and respect. I cannot with good conscience leave a good review for this place as Dr. Ferro did a terrible job on my crown. Please be wary of all the glowing reviews for this place from people who only have one review posted to their Yelp account as they are suspicious, to say the least. While the front desk staff are very nice and making an appointment was easy it does not take away from the fact that the actual dentist was not up to par. I have a crown from another dentist that I had done years ago with zero issues. It just so happens that the same tooth on the other side of my mouth needed a crown a few years later. This is a new practice near my home so I decided to give them a shot which was a big mistake. Even with insurance, it was close to $600 for the crown. They told me it would take about 2 hours and they make the crowns in house so no need to for a temporary. I asked for a few hours off from work but little did I know it would take the entire day! My appointment was at 11am and I did not leave the office until 4pm which is just ridiculous for a crown and way more than the 2 hours I was told it would take. The work on my crown was a sloppy botch job. I get home and start feeling the inside of my crown and can feel a weird ridge where crown ends and roof of my mouth start. I look with a mirror and you can actually see gray cement and crown is not flush to my gums! (See Photo) I also notice a cut on my gums due to Dr. being rough. Shape of the crown does not feel natural and worst of all she was in such a hurry to finish since she took forever that she did a bad job buffing my crown so it felt like sandpaper. When I compare this crown to the one that was done properly it feels/ looks totally different in a bad way. When I eat certain foods they get stuck in the ridge she left so I decided to go to another dentist to get a second opinion. He agrees that while it is not the worst botch job he has ever seen it is certainly not a good crown and he advised me to go back and have it redone as he would not feel right if one of his patients had a crown that looked like mine. In fairness the office did offer to have me come back so they could redo it but why would I do that?! The doctor is lacking the proper skills and going back a second time is not going to change her workmanship or her skills as a dentist. He understood my concerns and since I wasted so much money he said my best bet was to use a waterpik daily on tooth and try to hang in there as long as possible to avoid having to pay all over again for someone else to do it. So I am now forced to waterpik my tooth daily and tolerate a bad crown in my mouth for who knows how many years to come. Dentistry is a profession that has far more inferior doctors than good ones so even if you are going in for something that seems easy and standard do your homework and make sure you pick a good doctor. I have learned from my mistake and even if I have to pay more upfront I want the peace of mind of going to a skilled dentist. read more

I thought long and hard about whether or not I wanted to write this review. Though the office staff was nice, it doesn't make up for the grief I endured. I went to this dentist office for the first time last year for some emergency work I needed to have done. The prices they charged me were completely insane but I am used to being scammed out of my money by the dentist. What occurred at this dental office was worse than anything I had ever experienced. As a result of their work, I lost some Of my gums, my confidence and some sanity. I got 2 separate infection right after getting work done from them and they insisted that it was because of my own fault though I have never had any oral infections in my life until I went to this office. They refused to give me any refunds and instead tried to "fix" the work they had already done but at the end of the day, I am very unhappy with what was done. I am extremely pleased with the service at Fontainebleau Dentistry. Before coming here, I hadn't been to the dentist in about four years due to lack of insurance. On my first appointment, Dr. Basto treated me with the utmost respect and care and was in no way condescending or admonishing about my lack of recent dental care - something I feared before coming in. The team immediately filled a few cavities, taking extra care to make sure I was as comfortable as possible, even providing a warm blanket. After a long morning of fillings, I was too tired to get my cleaning and asked to reschedule. They totally understood and got me in for a week later. I went back today, arriving a bit early, and was almost immediately brought back for my cleaning. The dental hygienist was quick, painless, and efficient. I was out in less than 30 minutes. I had a CerecFired crown placed by Dr. Monica after a root canal, and the crown feels good and natural. It was about $800 for the crown and core buildup/amalgam together. I appreciated that she is always trying to help patients out financially. I know dental work gets really expensive but I am so picky about my teeth that I always just pay up front. The front desk ladies could be nicer, the X-ray guy was really awesome and my favorite person there. Then I went there this morning for their advertised $59 cleaning (which you pay $24 more for the fluoride anticavity treatment which is usually standard at all my other dentists). I needed a nightguard which costs $295 here, which is standard price. Then I needed to refill my entire silver filling from childhood which was going to cost around $330. So I got upset at how many things I needed and how expensive it all was going to cost so I just left. I was blow away by their excellent customer service! sometimes going to any clinic can feel like a drag, you expect long waits and attitude; but definitively not here. Everyone from the moment you walk in is super pleasant and attentive and they make sure not to leave you with any unanswered questions. Making my mother's appointment was smooth and easy, they also send you the patient questionnaire to your email to save time when you arrive. My mother had to get surgery and I felt very comfortable with her getting her procedure here. Every single one of the staff was helpful and knowledgeable, which put us at ease. The procedure was ridiculously quick and my mom did not feel any pain. She was given the option of sedation and that was the best decision for us. She almost did not realized that everything was taken care of when she was done. The place is new and clean and the have the latest technology. They even have a small space with blocks and video games for children to get distracted while waiting. I definitely recommenced this dental group! I did major dental work and felt confident and secure the entire time. I was made to feel like family and that is extremely rare. I wanted to make sure I gave what I thought was an honest review, and that I wasn't just giving in to the Dentist office that appeared "too good to be true." But it's true... Fontainebleau Dentistry is THAT good. Out of my two visits there, Dr. Gonzalez has made me feel beyond comfortable. Saying that she is "patient" is an understatement. On my very first appointment she took her time in understanding my dental background and what my dental needs (and aesthetic wants) were. Everyone in this office takes there time to ensure that their patients feel comfortable. Horrible experience here. If you are looking for someone gentle and understanding, stay FAR away from this place. I had the worst dentist experience of my life here this afternoon. The dental assistant who did my xray (which they require for every patient's first visit) made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. She had difficulty fitting the device in my mouth, telling me my mouth is smaller than average. That was fine, I tried to be patient and cooperate. After ten minutes of struggling, she asked another dental assistant for help and the two of them continued to try, over and over again..... At first, they decided to stop and told me they'll let the doctor know it wasn't working with me, but decided to check with the doctor that was okay. I was relieved, but less than a minute later they came back and said they had to continue afterall! I guess the doctor decided it was more important to keep shoving a device that was too big into my mouth instead of be flexible and find another way. Imagine, this is twenty minutes of getting a device pushed uncomfortably far back (gagged by reflex more than once) over and over again while having to open your mouth as far as you can. Uncomfortable is an understatement. It did not help that the dental assistant barely seemed to notice my pain and did little to try and be gentler. After all those attempts, I finally told her "no, I'm not doing this. I would like to leave". She tried to change my mind, I said no again and she left to inform the doctor. When she came back, she had the audacity to stand in the doorway of the room and repeatedly say she didn't have to finish the x ray now and we "just needed a picture". I said no, I already said I want to leave. It was ridiculous, did I really need to say no more than once? Bottom line: not gentle, not understanding, not respectful of patients read more

She takes the time to do a proper evaluation and provide education to patients. Another notable plus to this office is the staff. I recently visited The Fontainebleau Dentistry and although I did not receive any dental treatment, I felt the need to place a review. To start off, the dental office was impeccable. Along with providing the latest technology dentistry has to offer (as stated on their website) it looked like something right out of a magazine. The front desk genuinely welcomed you and made you instantly comfortable and welcomed. The office manager Alyson, was very kind and welcoming and the dental assistant, Lilly seems very knowledgeable and loves what she does. The dental hygienist Stephanie although I have not had the pleasure of having my teeth treated by her just yet, I can say from a personal association that she is very caring and intelligent by nature.
