Bonne Ecole Elementary School is a fantastic little school in my neighborhood. My six year old attends school here. The parental involvement is very high, which is crucial to the success of almost every aspect of the school and the student as well. The teachers here are all very caring and serious about their jobs. Our test scores are consistently high and way above state averages. The same receptionists have been here for at least 15 years and are so sweet and they love the children that attend the school like their own. Heck, even the custodians are friendly and always have a smile on their faces. I am so lucky that I get to send my child to this school. I really do love it. An interesting fact about the name...when the school was finished being built a contest was held where the students submitted a name for the school. A fourth grader won for his submission of Bonne Ecole which is translated from French for "good school".

It was the best decision of my life and only wish it was an option for my 2 older children when they were going through. It is a cute little neighborhood preschool. It offers such a personable feeling. Rebecca and all her teachers feel like family to me and my family. My daughter is excited to go to school and excited to come home and tell me all about her day and what she did. I am truly grateful for her being able to go here. They offer a Christian learning environment at Little Camellia Schoolhouse with lots of hands on activities for the kids to be engaged. If I could keep my child here until college I would;)

It is always beautifully decorated which makes it feel very cheerful and inviting! I have been to many other preschool centers and they always seem uninviting and cold (that is not the case at Little Camellia). The ladies that work there are some of the loveliest people I have ever meet. You can tell they love what they're doing and they love the children. It has 6 classrooms and a very nice playground with slides, swings, riding toys, sand table and a lot more. The classrooms have cubbies for every child, group tables, and different educational centers set up. When we arrive we are always greeted by someone and have to check in and out. I have walked into other preschools where no one has ever stop or questioned me (that did not feel safe). When I've come at naptime there are always teachers in the classrooms watching the children and working on lesson plans. The Little Camellia Schoolhouse is a PRESCHOOL that focuses on learning! They have daily BIBLE, MATH, READING, and SCIENCE lessons. I love The Little Camellia Schoolhouse because it is NOT a daycare where I drop my kids off and they do nothing all day and all the workers do is feed them meals and let them run around, and unlike most centers I get to provide my children with a healthy lunch with things I know they like to eat, instead of them eating whatever is served that day (or not eating because they are a little picky). The tuition is very reasonable compared to the other centers in this area. Having had different experiences with other preschool centers in the Slidell area I wouldn't send my children anywhere else!

To explain...after being diagnosed with brain cancer, SELU, with full medical information (diagnosis, proof of cancer treatment, etc.) continued to demand a $792 bill be paid by my son who had to withdraw from school. SELU even went as far as sending a threatening letter to refer him for legal action to the attorney general if it wasn't paid. With no one willing to waive this payment (after several calls), I paid the bill to get the school to leave him alone while he continued to recover.

The end result is ridiculous, and they charged me $31.00 for this. Waivers of liability are not enforced in Louisiana because of Articles 2004, 28, 29, 1918 and 1923 of the Louisiana Civil Code. They offered me a different service like a manicure or a facial as an alternative, but I do not want that because I feel their teaching methods are below standard. I want my $31.00 back because I don't think I should pay a company to ruin my hair, and I believe this is a reasonable request. I have filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and the Louisiana Attorney General's office. My friend's mother had to pay $100.00 to have my hair fixed. My next step is small claims court/legal action. My advice to you is to think, think, and think again about whether you want to trust them with your hair. BB

They are so honest, so upfront, so truthful this will be the only place you will ever need to go for your CDL! I trust them so much, I flew from NJ to be trained by them! Don't get roped into these schools that tell you you need a specified amount of hours for your CDL; it is just not true UNLESS, of course, you are going to work for a carrier of whom REQUIRES you to have so many hours of class time, Range time and behind the wheel time. I love these guys so much, I look forward to maybe working for them!
