What a GREAT place!…read more Victor Vasarely created optical art, or "op-art" as you might see as well. There is some COOL STUFF in here that he created! The building, the tile sign on the outside, and all of the two-story high art pieces are just phenomenal. I'm going to upload some examples of his work. If you are in Aix-en-Provence, I definitely would recommend stopping here. Some of the pieces are really fun to look at. My only complaint was that the building seems to have fallen into disrepair. The tile sign outside was missing lots of tiles, there were weeds growing everywhere, there was water damage in parts of the buildings.... Vasarely was a great artist, and it is a little heartbreaking to think that this building might not be around in the next decade. Please go and support this artist!

Lovely free museum with a vast amount of artefacts in Marseille's history from the ancient world…read moreuntil now. Since it's free, everything is in French but it's still cool to see some of the larger artefacts like a ship's hull and some of the bodies recovered there. There's a "ticket" office where someone can direct you to the entrance and they'll do a quick bag check. Only thing I'd recommend is having a donation box somewhere because it's always nice to donate for things like this that are educational.

Not here. While there was no fee to enter, I cannot recommend. What's more, the entrance is through a shopping mall on the lower level, so even finding it is difficult! Their website has not been updated since 2018. Sloppy! Do have a look at Roman ruins just outside however.
