Why are the staff not wearing masks. This is not good - get the mask on - you are indoors

Still my absolute favourite Asian supermarket after all these years…read more Their produce is fresh and crisp. The supermarket is clean and spotless. Large variety of everything you can think about is here. Prices are more expensive here but you really do pay for what you get. It's not just the products, it's also the customer service in my opinion. Cashiers are happy and will actually smile at you when checking out. Parking situation is a tad annoying since it's at First Markham Place, and it's always busy here. Overall, worth the hectic parking lot and the amount of people. It's the best Asian supermarket in Markham, hands down!

I live in Miami, and with our relatively small Asian community, nothing quite like Fresh Food Mart exists back home. For a foodie, this place is paradise -- or maybe a little bit of purgatory, knowing I was only there to browse and not actually fill a cart. The variety is incredible, especially when it comes to seafood and other proteins. The vegetables looked fresh and beautiful, and the selection of nearly everything seemed endless. Every aisle brought another discovery, from ingredients I rarely see at home to an impressive range of products that makes you want to start planning your next meal before you even leave. A monthly rental in Markham might be in my future... because having access to places like this could be dangerous for my wallet and very good for my kitchen.

I was in Richmond Hill nearly two weeks ago. It was pouring rain. I needed to pick up a few grocery…read moreitems. I remembered this Loblaws store. I hadn't been here in years and felt it was time to check it out again. I had no problem finding a spot. I backed into one. With my umbrella protecting me from the rain, I headed inside the store to shop. This store has a Starbucks. There used to be a standalone Starbucks store nearby that I liked. It shuttered for good. It's good to know that if I need one, I can come here. I needed celery. The celery looked sad here. It looked abused and bruised. Poor celery. It was slim pickings, but I got some. There were some other items that were in better shape. Mushrooms were great. The hydrangeas looked healthy blooming away. The dairy-free beverage section made me happy. This store has a Joe Fresh section. I like browsing to figure out what styles are cool. The downside to Joe Fresh clothing is that articles that I have purchased in the past don't last long. I find that the quality isn't great. This place has portabella jerky. It isn't cheap, but it's nice seeing meatless alternatives. I was also happy with the Russell Stover candy varieties. I love this brand so much. I headed to the checkout and had a nice woman assist me. I paid with a debit card. I scanned my PC Optimum barcode from my phone. All went well. I thanked her and left with my purchases. It's a good store. If it brings healthier-looking celery, it would get full marks. (142)

I came to get some snacks and drinks for the road trip. I got some cheese bread which was pretty…read moremoist and fluffy even on the 3rd day. I bought beer so I had to go through the checkout line with cashier, a bit slow as it was 9pm, less cashiers. I also bought the veggie sticks snack for $2, on sale. Enough selections for what I need at the time which the beer could have been in a fridge though.

Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Yes!…read more I don't shop here often but when I do, their products are top notch - fresh and worth every penny! It's definitely expensive shopping here but you really do get what you pay for. I come here mainly for their bakery items like their famous jelly roll cake - a must get for the holidays! Their cookies here are baked in house and delicious as well. I often come here during the holidays for herbs as well, since herbs seem to sell out quickly at larger grocery stores. They really have everything that you need here. Butcher section also has great quality meat. As for their ice cream pints at the back of the store - you MUST get some! They are so delicious with unique flavours, some even with an Asian twist. Overall, a great grocery store to shop from if you have the means for it ;) OR stop in here once in a while to check out their specialty items like the jelly roll!

Yes, this place is pretty pricey but you can find specialty products here. Gluten free? No problem!…read moreI found the tastiest beef empanadas from Woah Dough! You gotta check them out! I stopped by to pick up one of their infamous jelly rolls. Never had one but heard that it's amazing. The standard one is the mixed berry however they had a lemon & blueberry one so I opted to go with that since hubby loves that flavor combination. We took it to a friend's house that night and it was exquisite! My friends who said that they normally don't like cake now have a new addiction. The cake had the perfect texture to it to hold up all that amazing fresh cream, lemon curd and blueberries and it was also a perfect balance of sweetness. I've been there on multiple occasions while living in Markham usually interacting with the staff in bakery and the cashiers and everyone I have encountered has been lovely. The parking lot isn't massive but it is enough to host all of their shoppers as I've never had an issue with finding parking there.
