This is one of the only major commercial stores in this barren black hole of wilderness and coal mining. As part of a "moist county" surrounded by beautiful coal fields, this store is operated by robotic staff who seemed to be on the verge of tears from desolation and cyclical misery. As I slowly walked to the cashier area, I realized I was swimming in the gray soul of the south; I felt like a wal-mart intern dying inside. But all I wanted was a drink. The mountains echo sad hellos as you drive past, and you will feel the obscurity of the air and gloom under your skin in the afternoon hours. Go to see wandering cats and to me, a cathartic landfill of rural agony I hope so much to someday visit again. Get globalized in the mountains.

    What can I say? It's Walmart in a small town. I do wish they had a bigger selection of a variety of…read moredifferent things. In all, it's not so bad. Most of the employees are pretty friendly. I do like the new clothing options they've gotten the past year or so. It seem like they're much better quality and the styles look nicer. They've also gotten a better collection of plus-sized clothing! I do wish, however, that the employees working the self check outs wouldn't hover over you like a hawk like you're going to steal something. I know they need to be vigilant against theft but I'm not fond of people breathing down my neck. And I mean that in the literal sense.
