I can't believe I waited so long to post this! Food Craft hosted an awesome online boba tea making class and it was AMAZING! I thought that since it was virtual, it'd be hard to do. But I promise this was easily the easiest and most fun I've ever had cooking virtually. It was super cool taking part in this with my fellow OCA's (and our illustrious leader), and I'd be lying if I told you that I dream about making the perfect boba on a daily basis since this event. I even shared the details with my volunteer team and we are gonna do it for our next team builder. I love this company and I can't wait until we can do this, again!

Bubble Tea Party for the win!! Food Craft hosted an amazing bubble tea making course for me and my co-workers last night. The vibes were super fun and they did a great job at answering questions and making sure that we were all on track! We made a hibiscus passion fruit tea with fruit jellies and a mint taro tea with tapioca. Both were delicious! I honestly and now the biggest bubble tea fan, but I enjoyed both drinks! The hibiscus drink was so pretty! I thought I wouldn't like the jellies at the bottom, but they created a great texture. It was refreshing and delicious! The mint taro tea sounds strange, but trust me it was AMAZING! It was the perfect sweet and creamy treat! I would make this one again and again. The kit also included ingredients for matcha boba and instructions on how to make that after the class. I know all my co-workers had a really great night! Charlotte was a great instructor and made the whole experience informative AND fun!

What an amazing experience! I booked FoodCraft via ClassBento for a virtual boba making class for my work team. And all along the way, it was a delight to work with. They were quick to answer my questions when booking and made a few changes leading up to the event. Their kits were chock full. A big reason I decided to book with them was due to how much seemed to be included, and this did not disappoint. And when it came time for the actual virtual event, it ran so smoothly. It was clear they have experience not only with Zoom but also with boba. Plus our drinks turned out so well! Mint taro is my new favorite! I heard so many raves from my team after this event. I would love to work with them again!

This was sooooooo much fun!!! First of all, I didn't even know a virtual-bubble-tea-making-class was a thing! When our manager offered us a bunch of different virtual hang options, I immediately checked off the bubble tea class. I LOVE bubble tea. And by LOVE I mean go to the same place for the same one. I am not familiar with all the options, and I find them a little intimidating! So this class was THE BOMBBBB to help me find out even more amazing bubble tea delicious options! We made this BEAUTIFUL layered drink with a naturally blue tea and passionfruit drink and fruit jellies. I mean - what more do you need me to say? She was stunning AND delicious. I was munching on these fruit jellies and sucked down this drink easily in the 5 minutes that followed. Oops. And what blows my mind is I liked the next drink EVEN MORE! The mint-steeped tea with a taro powder and our tapioca pearls. HEAVEN ON EARTH! I'm going to march into my now-not-intimidating boba shop and order something just like this moving forward. Our instructor was so friendly and engaging. You can tell she loves her job and it made it SO FUN. I also loved that they had a second person on the call to monitor for questions and help out, as needed. It was really an effortless experience (well, technlogically anyway -- shoutout to Sarah on our team who shook her tea all over her kitchen) and a really great time! Highly recommend Food Craft for any virtual experiences to make your team around the world feel like friends in 1 place :)

This virtual experience made my night! Food Craft led a bubble tea making class for my Yelp team and it was obvious that we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. The most fun I've had on a work meeting.. like ever! What a great Yelp OCA Team Activity! I've participated in several virtual boba making classes. This, by far, was the most fun, engaging, and easy to follow. The bubble tea kit with ingredients, instructions, and bonus snacks arrived at my home over a week prior to our event. Cute packaging, well organized, and easy to decipher which items were what either by labeling or comparing them to the ingredient cards provided in the kit. During our event we made a whopping 3 different drinks. All were quite tasty. My son was stoked to be my assistant and taste tester. There were plenty of boba to make additional drinks. The kit also provided a package of matcha with instructions to make at my leisure. The class was a blast and so well organized we didn't realize they were keeping a tight timeline. Pros! We were asked to hold up our drinks and share. We Yelpers love our foodie pics. I've already bragged to my friends about Food Craft and hope that they book a team building virtual event for themselves :) Now back to my bonus boba making!

As part of Chinese/Lunar New Year, my company reached out to Food Craft to run a virtual event for a lucky cat terrarium. The class was super straightforward: you receive the glass terrarium and full kit before the event date. The instructor was high energy (some colleagues had their kids around helping out) and carefully explained the reason why each material was used. The kit is very straight forward and also comes with instructions on the layers. The little lucky cat figurines were randomized - they were super cute. The kit also came with two little lucky coins and some chocolate coins (which ended up in my kids' tummies). Unfortunately my mailman had put the package in the mailbox in freezing cold weather (we do not check the mailbox on a daily basis) and my initial plant was not happy with that environment. Food Craft was super great in working with me to send me a new succulent replacement.

Their food was excellent and a large part of my 5 stars, of course, but never have I felt so welcomed and at home in a restaurant thanks to its two owners. Their warmth and friendliness truly elevated our night out to the next level. My girlfriend and I stopped in at about 7 on a Wednesday night. We didn't have a reservation but were able to be seated right away. The restaurant was mostly filled, dimly lit, with an eclectic mix of Italian bric a brac scattered about the room. The ambiance was intimate and just perfect. Both Kevin and Cesare were working the room, interacting with guests while taking orders and running food. I ordered a champagne cocktail and pistachio encrusted chicken off the list of specials, while my girlfriend had a smoked Negroni and pasta with mushrooms. We shared tiramisu for dessert. Everything we had was decadent and delicious. The tiny room features a bar just big enough for three bar stools, and a small stage that could fit a handful of musicians. While the food was great, I would be equally as happy to just sit at the bar enjoying live music and watching the happy dance of the diners at their tables. We're not from New York, so sadly we can't be regulars here, but we'll absolutely come back someday, and in the meantime we'll spread the word for people to put this one on their list.

We had an incredible experience with Shandra! My mother is vegetarian and most cooking classes don't cater to that. But this class left us full and happy! My mom really connected with her too. This was truly the most unique culinary and cultural experience that I've ever done!…read more I ventured to Borough Park to attend the Uzbek immersion workshop with Damira. She and her husband warmly welcomed us into their home and led us to a beautifully decorated table of what was described as a "welcome snack," but was actually a delicious feast in itself. There was Uzbek dried fruits, nuts, both sweet and savory pastries, and hot green tea. I loved the Uzbek raisins, which are bigger and juicier and just better than any raisins I've ever had! As we ate, Damira shared photos and stories of her family's life in Samarkand, an ancient city in Uzbekistan that lies on the silk road. Once we were all well-acquainted and nourished, we headed to the kitchen to cook the main feast. On the menu were homemade individual breads, spinach stuffed pastries, a spring cabbage salad, a cucumber potato salad, and a lamb stew. Damira was such a great teacher, demonstrating techniques before having us actively participate in the prep, cooking, and serving of each dish. She timed everything perfectly so that we had breaks and ate basically the entire afternoon, while continuing to engage us in stories of her home and culture. When we sat down for the final meal, the delicious food was somehow made even better from the meaningful connection we all shared while cooking it. The four and a half hour class flew by and while I didn't want to leave, I was very happy when we were each sent home with enough leftovers to last another two meals.

My friend was doing the cooking demonstration and although I got there a few minutes late the staff and crowd was very welcoming. Chef Ayesha is amazing! She is from Shukette which recently opened in Chelsea, a part of the restaurant group of a few other restaurants including Shuka, Vics and Rosies. Also, to have your food prepared by an incredibly high level talented Chef with quality wine pairings is very lovely experience! Sal Rizzo, the owner is very accommodating and very entertaining as a host. he was the perfect energy for the group with very positive and entertaining comments. The space only fits about 30 people and the alcohol was refilled. While the cost might seem high ($145 with fees) for 90 minutes it went a bit over and they did not rush you out. I had five drinks (One proseseco, two white, and two red) so it was well worth it. Service was top not h. The staff were en pointe and attentive. They were always cleaning up after you're making sure that you got your food at the right time. I was also lucky enough that our chef made us laugh the entire time because she has a fantastic personality. Furthermore, every dish was created to perfection and visually appealing with very different interesting flavor profiles. I've been to several of her restaurants and not let down. I will enjoy returning!

Excellent award winning working chefs make meals or specialties and talk about the food and ingredients. You watch, you eat. The video screens enable you to see techniques. There are wines paired with each course and a rep (or if you are lucky, the winemaker) tells you about the wine, the flavors, why it goes with the food etc. what a perfect night. You are always among a friendly, diverse, foodie crowd and it's a blast. I went alone last night and enjoyed crispy caper and eggplant campionata with potato chips, baby lamb chop with a delis glaze and pomegranate, crispy duck with plum compote and goat cheese cheesecake with macerated berries. Chef was Adrienne Cavalo from Miami and the wine was Trivento from Argentina (i am now a Malbec fan). Another time I went and it was Passamore caviars with great dishes and champagnes. The staff is amazing--go on the website and look at the upcoming demos and classes. You will not regret it. It's a foodies dream! And one more thing. It's on the 8th floor of Macy's Herald Sq. Yup--who knew?! It's tucked near the elevators by the exit to Santa's workshop.
