The staff are pretty nice. I hadn't really spent much time in the area, but after having a quick chat with the checkout chick while she was swiping all my groceries I had a pretty good list of decent places to go and eat in the area.

It never seems that busy, which is great if you're in a rush. They have a good range of specialty products too, like proper mozzerella cheese. The fresh food section is nice and big, and all the produce looks fresh and vibrant. My only issue is no bottle shop! I don't drink that often, but it's so much easier to be able to duck into the bottle shop after I finish shopping for my groceries if I need to!

This is one of my regular supermarkets and has recently undergone a massive refurbishment, not only…read moreinside but outside and the car park as well. Another thing I noticed with the new changes is that they now have a man whose sole purpose is to hand you a basket on the way in (it is freakily starting to remind me of China where I saw someone whose sole job was to help trolleys off escalators). Anyway it is a nice feeling to be welcomed and handed a basket. The other change I like is in the fresh food section. The smallgoods and seafood areas have lovely coloured tiles behind them that, at least, make you feel like you are in a real market. The produce is beautifully displayed on ice to try and make you feel like it is fresh but they don't fool me. I only go here for such foods if I can't make it anywhere else. I personally don't like buying any fresh produce from supermarkets. Anyway it fulfils a need. The supermarket, in general, is well laid out and airy so at least you don't feel claustrophobic. It has a good selection of just about everything but in recent times I have become aware of home brands taking over all the shelves so it is hard to find the real brands. The other interesting thing about this supermarket is that in summer there are often lots of tourists from overseas doing their grocery shopping which is always entertaining.

If I lived in the area I'd love to shop at this Coles, it's beautifully presented, well-laid out, and spacious. The only issue I could forsee is it may take you a few trips to find your way around as it's pretty big. The fruit and veg section is the best I've seen in a supermarket, the bakery section has a rustic ambience, although they don't bake their own finger buns here (for shame). Oh my gosh this place is huge and had everything I needed to make a curry from scratch…read more I was expecting a small local foodland but it's bigger than some of the ones in Adelaide. They have toiletries too (if you need a change of toothbrush or a new shower gel whilst up in the Barossa).
