For so many years growing up, this store was known to me as "I have to get to Foot Locker straight after school." I wonder how it came to be called Foot Locker? I just read that Woolworth/Venator Co.'s shoe brand was the top performing line, so they changed it to 'Foot Locker'. No wonder their products are fantastic, because they've sold so well for over 30 years.
The shop attendant that helped me said if I got the latest Jordans, it would truly be the best shoes on the court because no-one else has got it yet. He agreed with me when I said, "Everyone seems to wear those yellow and purple Kobes nowadays. I see too many of them."
(That's right. Basketball talk is bout to flood from this Yelp review, so get ready. If you're not into this store, you will quickly walk out faster than Utah Jazz players after Game 6....)
A wide range of basketball products is guaranteed to be coupled with high prices, and that's a harsh reality I've had to deal with. Every pair of basketball shoes I've bought since I was little cost at least $180-$220 or more, so I'd say you gotta have the dough before even thinking about stepping inside, wouldn't you?
The products ranged from shirts, shorts, bball shoes, casual shoes, running shoes, NBA jerseys, Jordan branded products, training shorts, socks...boy, did that Foot Locker guy went through that so quickly.
And the options! I ended up having a tough time choosing between Derrick Rose, Dwayne Wade (oh my.....so comfortable!!) and Lebron James. But once I got introduced to the latest Michael Jordans...
Screw everything else on offer, Foot Locker knows MJ is the only way to 6 NBA championships, and deep into my heart. I've fallen in love. If only I could afford the love. I'll be back as fast as Michael Jordan came back to the Bulls. read more
