I had been up the week previous and dealt with a pleasant man, picked out our floors and gotten a great quote. I was pretty happy until I tried to purchase the floors themselves. Unfortunately I had left my quote at home as we were rushing to get there before they closed at 1pm on a Saturday. We arrived, queued for about 10mins before being told we needed to queue at a different counter to make our purchase. We went to the trade counter and proceeded to queue for another solid 10 mins until we were finally seen. My complaint was not regarding the wait time at all, it was regarding the people who served us. The man was very cryptic about the information he needed from me to pull up my quotation. He was not clear at all and after about five minutes of not getting any kind of an answer from him about what he needed from me, I apologised for not having my quotation and decided to go back to the front desk to obtain a second quotation. When we got back to the front desk, you could tell the man behind the counter was not interested in anything as it was 12:50 and nearly closing time. Instead of giving my business to a company who clearly has no interest in keeping their customers happy, I've decided to walk away and work with a company who does want my business. In this day and age, no one has very much money to spend, and a new floor is quite a few euros. I expected much better service given these conditions.

You can have all the fancy bells and whistles you like, but if there's no one there to speak with you about your potentially large cashdollamoney investment, then why should you spend the fruits of your hard graft there? There was a salesman out the front dealing with a customer when we entered the shop. Once his customer left, he retreated out the back. We must have been standing out the front for a good 15 minutes (whilst other lonely and unloved customers also came and went). All this time, there was not one person on the floor, yet I could see several staff out the back having a chat. If you don't want my cash, that's cool dude. I shall take it elsewhere!

I asked some friends for recommendations and PJ Dunne's name was put forward by two of them saying that he was very reliable and professional in his work. PJ came and had a look at the work to be done and gave me a quote the following day as he said that he would, the price was very reasonable and we agreed a date to get started. What started off as some interior doors being hung and flooring to be laid, ended up with me getting PJ to lay decking in the back and some fencing. His work is of a real professional standard and you could see he takes pride in it. Overall I'd have to say the job was done at a fair price, at the time agreed (no il be back next week sometime), and to a professional standard. I also didn't have to clean up after him which is always a bonus. Would highly recommend and will be using again in the future.
