She really does do everything she can with limited resources. My little on, 10 yrs old is struggling the most. He is failing everything but because he tests well, he doesn't qualify for special ed. He also was born drug addicted, we adopted him when he was 4 weeks old. He has behavior issues which would be overlooked if I didn't make the school punish him, he cannot do basic 3rd grade math and he is in the 4th grade. The school has been putting me off for 2 yrs and have done nothing to help him. It is now the end of the year and nothing they promised to help him catch up has been done! They are just pushing him on to the 5th grade in hopes he'll be someone else's problem. I've tried to get him held back and they refuse! He is going to continue to fail as long as they keep pushing him through. It's horrible and my son is the one who suffers!! This is just a little taste of how they do things now. Know a guy who git suspended and got end of year celebration taken for "threatening" another student after that student groped his friend and the school did absolutely nothing. They incite physical altercations by failing to protect the students. Teachers are great, but office staff and especially the vice and campus supervisor are terrible and shouldnt really be around kids with the way the make decision regarding childrens safety. Tonight I attended EBHS's play Grease. As you walked to the auditorium you are greeted by a staff…read moremember and student as they hand you your ticket, or sell you one if you did not buy one in advance. They had a small "consignment" where they sold chips, candy, and THEE cutest themed cookies (wished I would have taken a picture before I devoured one of them!). I bought 3 cookies, two for my kiddos and one for me. We were given a program of the play and we quickly chose our seats. We got aisle seats on the middle left side of the auditorium. Before the play started, (as usual) I had to use the restrooms. Being at a school function I was a bit worried that it would be not up to par, but it was clean and all necessities were well stocked! The play started promptly at 7pm. The students and staff did an amazing job! Was this really a school play? They looked like pros! The costumes were on-point, and the stage looked like it was out of a professional Broadway play. Great job everybody! Now, I had to take a star because of the sound. Although you can tell the kids knew their songs and had angelic voices, it could not overtake the bad speaker sound. At many times it was hard to understand what they were saying while singing. Other than that, the play was great!
