    Foothills Golf Course

Maggie and Rachel were excellent in answering our questions as we plan to host a get together golf tournament here in the future. New beautiful clubhouse and restaurant with the food being delicious and plentiful! We golfed the Exec 9 and had a blast (not easy but not too difficult). Can't wait to come back!

Foothill is a great place for drinks and a bite to eat. The view is incredible and the clubhouse is beautiful indoor and outdoor seating is a plus! I do not golf but it is a fun place to enjoy a cocktail, food, and time with friends! If you go on the weekend be patient with the service. It is packed. I was impressed with the service at the bar Travis the bartender was friendly and did his best to ensure everyone was taken care of. I'll be back!

Let's face it, I'm a newbie golfer. Sure, I spend my weekends on the course and took lessons, but I still consider myself a newb and not as experienced as I'd like to be. So when my parents made tee time reservations for the Executive course at Foothills, I was a bit nervous. Despite my nerves, all turned out okay. Here are the takeaways: PRO's: ++ The course is LARGE, featuring a Par 3, Executive and Champion 18 hold course - all open to the public! The greens are nicely trimmed, well maintained and has a killer view of the foothills. ++ Pro shop staff is beyond friendly in navigating the course, giving the run down on new arrivals and the check in process is seamless. ++ Prices are insanely CHEAP here. The Par 3 course is a mere $6/person, while the Executive is $14/person without a district golf id card. All residents of Jefferson County (with proof) are eligible for a discounted rate! Don't forget the cart for $8/person! This is by far, one of the cheapest courses around! ++ Foothills grill, located in the club house, is the perfect spot to eat or drink before/after your game!  CON'S: -- The course itself is built on a massive hill, creating a beyond difficult terrain to stand and/or drive the golf cart on. -- Paths for carts, just end in the middle of nowhere, therefore making drivers trek across the fairway. -- Plenty of water and sand plus a two hour time limit on the Executive course - so better bring your A game! -- Tee times book up quickly - as this course I pretty popular. We had 2 morning options when booking online, a 7:12am, or 10:45am - that's how fast the reservations go! Book online a few days in advance to avoid high temps or massive crowds. Having played this course twice before, it's entirely worth the experience and skill practice! Just be forewarned: it is touuuuugh!

Fun course! There are a lot of beginners on the championship course that should probably be playing on the par 3 or executive course, and it seems to hold up the pace a bit. Luckily they police it fairly well and the marshall's try to keep everyone on track. Besides that, the course is well maintained. But oddly situated next to a prison :)

I have played here multiple times over the last few years and it's always been excellent. Played on a Sunday morning and much to my surprise we didn't have to wait for anybody in front of us, they were playing on time and so were we. Price was good as well, and was able to get a teatime just a few days before the weekend. Definitely recommend to any golfer.

Great course for all levels. I've done the par 3 and the executive course as a beginner. Both are nice courses and good for a beginner

The staff are amazing, and go out of their way to ensure that everything is explained and you are set up to have a good time. It was very busy the night we went, but that wasn't an issue since you reserve your space ahead of time. We did both axe throwing and a bay rental for an hour. Renting a golf bay is incredibly cost effective since the cost does not change based on how many people you have (you can have up to 8). And even though I called it a golf bay there are TONS of options to play. The food and drinks (which you can order through a QR code) are also great. We had some wings and they were delicious. TL:DR - an awesome option for a night out with built in activities

Harvard Gulch Golf Course - Nice day for 3 par course

I hadn't played a pitch and putt in a long, long time, and with barely any equipment required to play, this was definitely worth a visit. Only $1 per club rental, we each chose 1 club and 1 putter. Lots to choose from, so it took us some time to choose carefully. The 1 club + putter challenge we had made for a real fun round of golf, added a layer of thinking to a fun round. The golf was great. Super casual. We came mid day on a weekday, so it was not busy. We were allowed to bring some beverages (went to nearby Denver Brew Co), and had a lot of fun. Greens are surprisingly fast, especially downhill. Bunkers had legit sand, and there is even the threat of water. We bought a 6 pack of balls in the pro shop cuz they were only $5 (only needed one each), and bought a divot repair tool ($1) because we were planning on raining golf balls on all the greens. Lol. We had so much fun, we played a second 9. Joined up this time with a third, and he was a super fun hang. Good golfer too. All tee shots are off mats, which is expected. Wasn't a problem for us. It wasn't super busy, but pitch and putt is going to attract all manner of skill levels. We had a lot of time to kill, so we were prepared to wait and chill at each hole (back in the day I'd go to places where we could be 10-15 people deep at each tee box), but it moved fast today. That said, when we were leaving, we saw a group of 4 and 5, and most looked like beginners. I have another day in Denver, we may try and play another round. If not during this trip, then for sure the next time I come. Great fun!

Great for an after work chip and putt with some beers to relax. They don't sell beers there but they allow you to bring drinks with you. It's also not bad to walk, so highly recommend making it fun with friends playing with just 3 clubs and a putter.
