This is not a bad golf course. Seemed like it was in reasonable good shape. The prairie dogs did some damage to the tee Box and the fairways a little bit. Play the executive course, which was OK. The view was really nice. Not a super challenging course. The beer cart only came around one time. But the exact course was pretty cheap, especially if you walk it. My wife signed up for a class months ago and was notified 30 minutes before the first class that it was cancelled. They did not have enough people signed up, which is not our fault and should not impact their obligation. This is incredibly unprofessional and inexcusable. Worst of all, it's left a bad taste in her mouth and fouls up our plans to get her in to golf. Terrible customer relations. read more

Foothill is a great place for drinks and a bite to eat. The view is incredible and the clubhouse is beautiful indoor and outdoor seating is a plus! I do not golf but it is a fun place to enjoy a cocktail, food, and time with friends! If you go on the weekend be patient with the service. It is packed. Great course for all levels. I've done the par 3 and the executive course as a beginner. Both are nice courses and good for a beginner

The pro shop was being ran by high schoolers that clearly didn't know what they were doing. They horribly mismanaged a frost delay and even after that, the course was still in bad condition. Don't come back until at least spring, this course is fine other times of the year. read more

I have to break my rating down a little bit: The course itself is a 5-star venue in my book: 3 different courses and friendly staff makes for a perfect golfing experience. Now to the new clubhouse: One of my pet peeves is having only stupid blowers and no paper towel dispensers in the bathroom. Big minus from me here. The food in the old clubhouse was waaayyy better, had a more pleasant atmosphere, and was properly priced (unlike the new m, totally overpriced clubhouse restaurant. Here are the food scores (rated out of 10) from today's lunch: * Chicken sandwich: 5 stars (fries were cold, rest was just so-so) * American wagyu burger: 5 stars (tasteless and had gristle pieces) * Hoagie sandwich: 8 stars * nachos 8 stars (massive portion - good for 3 people) The beer selection is also worse than in the old clubhouse. Course is great for the money, it's the 17m clubhouse that needs some work. The staff at the bar is awful and can't handle an average rush while the kitchen doesn't know how to cook a burger to save their life. With a budget to spend multi millions on a beautiful clubhouse, you should be able to afford a staff that knows quality. Such a disappointment. Fix the staff and it will ensure a better experience. A good start would be checking in on your customers food. Didn't get asked once how everything was, if I was asked they would hear how overcooked the burger was that took 25 minutes to come out. read more

Let's face it, I'm a newbie golfer. Sure, I spend my weekends on the course and took lessons, but I still consider myself a newb and not as experienced as I'd like to be. So when my parents made tee time reservations for the Executive course at Foothills, I was a bit nervous. Despite my nerves, all turned out okay. Here are the takeaways: PRO's: ++ The course is LARGE, featuring a Par 3, Executive and Champion 18 hold course - all open to the public! The greens are nicely trimmed, well maintained and has a killer view of the foothills. ++ Pro shop staff is beyond friendly in navigating the course, giving the run down on new arrivals and the check in process is seamless. ++ Prices are insanely CHEAP here. The Par 3 course is a mere $6/person, while the Executive is $14/person without a district golf id card. All residents of Jefferson County (with proof) are eligible for a discounted rate! Don't forget the cart for $8/person! This is by far, one of the cheapest courses around! ++ Foothills grill, located in the club house, is the perfect spot to eat or drink before/after your game!  CON'S: -- The course itself is built on a massive hill, creating a beyond difficult terrain to stand and/or drive the golf cart on. -- Paths for carts, just end in the middle of nowhere, therefore making drivers trek across the fairway. -- Plenty of water and sand plus a two hour time limit on the Executive course - so better bring your A game! -- Tee times book up quickly - as this course I pretty popular. We had 2 morning options when booking online, a 7:12am, or 10:45am - that's how fast the reservations go! Book online a few days in advance to avoid high temps or massive crowds. Fun course! There are a lot of beginners on the championship course that should probably be playing on the par 3 or executive course, and it seems to hold up the pace a bit. Luckily they police it fairly well and the marshall's try to keep everyone on track. Besides that, the course is well maintained. But oddly situated next to a prison :) read more

Played on a Sunday morning and much to my surprise we didn't have to wait for anybody in front of us, they were playing on time and so were we. Don't come here. Rented clubs, they never gave me a sand wedge. Noticed on the 3rd hole, didn't think to say anything to them. When we returned the clubs they accused me of losing it on the course and charged me $40. Total rip-off. They say they 'check their clubs' but the driver had a huge dent in it too. Play here regularly and have normally had a decent experience. The golf course itself is consistently in good shape and is a fun layout. The staff has never had a particularly great attitude but it wasn't until Memorial Day when they told my 18 hole booking was only for 9 holes that I decided I was done with this place. I called the pro-shop and one of the employees told me I was booking 18 holes and I even had an email confirmation. When I got there the guy at the front desk told me I could only play 9 holes. The service really changes everything at a golf course and after the terrible attitude I got from all of staff Im not coming back here. read more

Take your money to Fox Hollow or Homestead. This place is pure chaos. They send people out as late as possible on twilight tee times - and mandate cart return by 8:30. I scheduled a T time and then attempted to cancel more than 24 hours ahead of time and they said that I would be unable to receive my refund despite the cancelation being reported more than a day ahead of time. Furthermore, after the day, they charged me an additional $60 for "missing" the T time despite me reaching out to cancel. There was no information on the website that would indicate that I would be charged for not showing up, especially when I had prepaid for the T time and was not refunded the money. read more

Par 3 is supposed to be fast and fun. Foothills does not have a ranger to regulate the game.. For what normally takes a hour and a half to get through actually took over two hours to get through 5 of the 9 holes. With so many other great options to golf in Denver, i would highly recommend AGAINST this business. We paid in the pro-shop on time and the guys working the shop were friendly and got into a conversation for a few minutes about golf balls. Then he gave us the keys to our cart and we drove up to tee off. The old guy Ron, that regulates people starting wouldn't let us start with our group immediately in front of us because we were three minutes late to the tee time and he filled one of our spots with a solo golfer. He initially was "dressing us down" and pointing his finger and cussing. I don't know what his deal is, but it's too much of a hassle to try to enjoy a round of golf on vacation and deal with this poor customer service. They have people booked every 8-9 minutes, so unless you want to golf a 5 hour round choose a different "and more scenic" option. Completely inefficient system and the proshop and "Ron" aren't on the same page. read more

I played Foothills a couple of days ago for the first time in a couple of years. The tee boxes amd greens were in horrendous shape. It made for a bad golf experience. Whoever is in charge of maintaining the course should be embarrassed for the lack of effort they put into taking care of the course. Good bang for your buck. This place has a driving range, championship 18 course, an executive course, and a Par 3 course. This keeps it less crowded on each course. You can usually get on the saem day. The best deal is $13 for Twilight which starts at 6:27pm. You can definitely get 9 in before it gets dark. The championship course is not too difficult, but not wide open either. There are many dog legs and water hazards to avoid. It is a hilly course, with a few holes that slope straight up and a few that slope straight down. When you go, just try to avoid Rick, the starter, he thinks he owns the place. Best little par 3 going for $11. Most of the time I can just walk right on. The course is well maintained and fairly challenging for a beginner. You can make it a bit harder as you get better by playing from the rear tees and bringing the hazards more into play. Most everyone there is pretty friendly and if you're golfing solo they will usually let you play through if no one is ahead. The pro shop is in the back underneath the main building, just in case you were looking for it. Above that is the restaurant, I enjoy the extra large patio where you can watch the sunset behind the mountains all the while looking at nothing but green! read more

The workers here are liars and inconsiderate of their customers. I get that it's public course but it is the worst I've ever seen. I call the pro shop to see when I can go to the range they say you can get your last bucket at 8:30 pm I show up at 8:20 and am told the range is closed with no explanation after I said I just want to hit a small bucket before the sunsets. Disclaimer: I am not a ball golfer so I can't report on the courses. However, this golf course has a disc golf course on select dates courtesy of the Mile High Disc Golf Club. Disc golfers are treated just like the ball golfers and are allowed to have carts and all the perks given to the folks who like to chase the little white ball around. The disc golf course is awesome! Long layout, water hazards, and sand traps played as penalty strokes. Great use of the terrain with a bunch of uphill and downhill shots.The beer girls were just as awesome to us flying disc players as they are to the ball golfers. The whole place is torn apart. Driving range, cart paths, clubhouse, everything. We were told that we had to rush to finish 18 because they don't allow carts out past a certain time, however the groups in front of us were extremely slow, and Marshall's did nothing to speed them up. Finally on 17, the Marshall came up and told us if we wanted to play 18 holes and get cart back in time, we had to replay #9, instead of telling the slow groups in front of us that we were playing ahead, or that they needed to skip a hole. The greens were in great shape, fairways were practically divot less, grabbed a hot dog at the turn and a cold brew. Nice golf course close to home. I have played here more than anywhere else. It has a solid 18 hole championship course, a great little 9 hole executive course and a really fun 9 hole par 3 course. They also have a nice driving range, chipping area and putting greens. The course is well kept with a nice little bar and restaurant in the club house. read more

Sad day. We've been coming here to play with friends and family for a long time, and have always had no problem, besides the occasional customer service snub. Today was a different story. We get the different policies and procedures in place due to COVID19, but no reason to reprimand customers for simply trying to buy some tees from the pro shop. Make sure to keep the door closed, instead of propped if you aren't interested in retail business. And be sure to put up a sign that the shop is closed next to the, "Snack Shack Open", sign... gives the impression pro shop is open too? read more

It's nice to have a local course that offers so many options by having a Par3 and Executive 9 and their Championship 18! For the price of the Par3 you can't beat the challenge you get going over multiple water features. The Executive9 scales some massive hills that lead to some pretty challenging compensations. The Championship 18 is fairly forgiving with open fairways and well manicured greens. The only drawback is that being a public course, it can be slow at times...otherwise it's a fun experience. read more

Fun, well maintained golf course and driving range. They've managed to get 3 courses in a fairly small area which is impressive. Everyone is very friendly, despite some reviews indicating otherwise. The executive 9 course is definitely doable in under 2 hours and provides a good challenge.
