We brought our 5 and 7 yr olds. Unlike most other places we researched, Highland has kids ride with the guide while parents each drive their own pack. This was a huge plus for us as we never dogsledded before and felt our kids were safer riding with an experienced guide. Track was well groomed, dogs appear well taken care of and happy, and we had an awesome time!

One of the most boring horseback ride I have been on. But alas we were grouped with beginners, which meant the most boring horseback ride ever. No trotting, no galloping. We had experienced these from previous rides elsewhere, we were hoping for more liberty. This was more of a cattle drive than a horseback ride. I could of fallen asleep if not for the fall scenery was awesome. The staff on the other hand are really knowledgeable and nice. I wouldn't suggest you go there unless you are a first time beginner. (oh and having to pay for a 20 minute mandatory training session was a first for us... and a last)
