As an option of somewhere to grab a bite whilst indulging in some retail therapy, Milano's hovers…read moreabove your regular fast-food choices...just about. I always find with Milano's that the only really decent thing on offer is their pizzas so anytime I've ordered anything else from the menu I always come away disappointed. I asked for mozzarella instead of goat's cheese on my chicken salad and sure enough, when it arrived, adorned with the aforementioned nasty stuff I was quizzed by my waiter if I was sure the offending item was goat's cheese as it looks the same as mozzarella. The fact that I'd nearly choked upon tasting it (I really dislike goat's cheese and this one was particularly overpowering!) didn't seem to be proof enough for him so he said he'd take it away to check with the chef. Sure enough he brought me a fresh one with mozzarella and sure enough he was very nice about the whole thing afterwards, but it was still more than a bit annoying, especially after waiting more than half an hour for the salad to arrive in the first place! Stick with the pizza, expect to wait a while for your food and for the service to be a bit erratic and you'll get on grand in Milano's - deviate from this and expect to come away a bit miffed by the whole experience.

I've eaten in a few other branches in the city centre (three of them) before and this branch is pretty much the exact same. I ordered the superfood salad and my friend had a pizza, both of which costed €13.95 which isn't too bad considering the big portions. Having the choice of thick or thin base and customisation for pizzas, as well as gluten free options is a plus. I liked the superfood salad a lot and it had a lot of interesting combinations such as quinoa, chickpeas, mung beans, edamame and a variety of veg. They also have pasta, calzone, risotto, lasagne etc. The restaurant itself is very big with a lot of seats and a nice atmosphere, great for a special occasion. I've come to Milano for many birthday parties over the years and often see others doing the same. They are child friendly with plenty of kids options, a good selection of desserts and free wifi (you can log in via Facebook or email). The downsides were that although the staff were friendly, they were not very attentive. I asked for the bill which never came, so I had to ask a different waitress which was kind of annoying. I found it quite hard to attract the waiters attention in general, but the restaurant is pretty big so it is probably understandable. But otherwise, they were pretty efficient in that after ordering things came pretty fast. The food in around 15 minutes and I got my tea in only a few minutes after ordering it. Overall: Food: 3/5 Service: 3.5/5 Price: Reasonable (~€15 per person for one main) Variety: 5/5 Seating/atmosphere: 5/5 Wifi: Free

The person who spoke to me on the phone was extremely rude and spoke to me in a degrading manner. When explaining what I wanted in the meal she asked how many dips I would like as 2 dips come with the order I asked for "in total can I have 3 garlic and 1 BBQ dip " she then corrected me and said the meal only comes with 2 dips in a very rude manner. I then asked can I add the 2 extra please and she then shut me down and said no you can order it at the end what 2 dips would you like with the meal. After getting past that part I asked could I have my meal well done as that is the way I would prefer my meal to be cooked she sighed then laughed and said sure. After around 30 minutes my food arrived I checked to see if the food was cooked to standard to find the pizza with the 2 garlic dips on the side (which is fine) but the 2 extra dips I had order squashed into the centre of the pizza with the plastic bottoms wedged inside my pizza. Not only is this disgusting but not knowing who had touched those plastic bottoms previously is a real safety concern for cross contamination and made the pizza inedible. I 100% will not be ordering from this restaurant again as they are mean, rude extremely unprofessional and over priced for the low grade food. I do not recommend anyone to order from here EVER

Delivery time quoted: 45 minutes Actual delivery time: 63 minutes Delivery boy: obvious stoner with a "shocker" sticker glued to the back of his muppetmobile. Food: cold, stale, and overall just offensive. The mere fact that I paid money for this box of shit really riles me. Pure and utter horseshit of a meal. I understand that I ordered after 1am on a Saturday, but to assume that I'm drunk/high enough to eat this shit is the real "shocker" of the night. When I told my girlfriend that I was ordering Mizzoni's, she instantly went pale, but even SHE was offended by this rancid, cold, cardboard crap. This introduced us to a whole new world of mediocrity. How was this ever allowed to leave the store? Never ever again And this review is from a lover of all things pizza.

Putrid Pugilism in Pizza, Price, and Performance…read more I've had bad pizza with good service. I've had good pizza with bad service. Now I can say I've had bad pizza with bad service. It was Saturday night and I was hungry after mass. Thought I'd try a different pizza place, so I picked Mizzoni's. This turned out to be nearly as wise a decision as Magellan's to sail to Mactan. I placed my order online. A platter and a WOWtastic deal. The total price was emailed to me, twice, of 30.10 including delivery. About half-an-hour later, my pizza arrived, along with a bill for 34.50. Looking at the bill, I was charged 3 Euro more for delivery than quoted by email. Which also happened to be 1.50 Euro more than the actual delivery fee on the website. The platter was also a billed at 1.40 higher than advertised on the website and on the receipt emailed to me. If it had just been me that evening, I'd of sent the pizza back and let them take an entire loss. But there were others with me and they were hungry. Not wishing to be a bad host, I was extorted the incorrect charge. I called the store to inquire about this 4.40 overcharge. The first person to speak with me said it's because they changed the menu and the delivery fee is actually higher than posted on the website. That even though the website said I was in the 'free zone', the website is wrong. They also claimed that even though the website says 1.50 for outside the free delivery zone, it's actually 3 Euro. He was cheeky enough to say that it be a good idea for the corporate office to fix that. His manager touted the same line. His "hands were tied" and there was nothing he could do. He said that if I had ordered by phone rather than using their website, he would of advised me of the charges. That's nonsense. He kept saying I was right, but he is just "following orders". He said he's sympathetic that he'll lose a customer, but said there was nothing he could do. He told me to call back the next day to talk to the boss who will give me the corporate complaint line. There is quite a lot wrong with this, bordering on a form of fraud. You can't and shouldn't advert one price and bill for another. They had my number, they could of called to inform me. The onus isn't on me to know, it's on them to inform. A good manager would of rectified the issue. A good business wouldn't of had the issue in the first place. The food itself was absolutely dreadful. The wings are battered and salty. The rest of the platter was either burnt, soggy, or mushy. It wouldn't of even been tolerable if I was drunk. The garlic bread tasted as if it had been through the microwave. The pizza was cold. It was actually cold. I had to reheat it. They were very shy with the toppings, you'd think there was a war on. Each large slice had one or two pepperonis and two or three mushrooms. That's unacceptable. I'd of done better to go to the Maynooth Tesco and buy a frozen pizza.

My friend brought us to this place on a cold winter night at the beginning of the year. The…read morerestaurant is fairly small and it took a while to find a suitable space for a party of 6. Finally we got seated next to the door - not an ideal place on a cold night. To beat the consistent draft brought in by new customer's and people collecting their take away pizzas we started off with ordering 2 bottle so wine. We went for some Italian wine - accordingly to the occasion, but were slightly disappointed with the first red bottle, the house selection. After multiple attempts we all agreed that the only really good bottle of wine was also the most expensive one (which is not always the case, as all of you wine lovers know. Price is hardly never the right indicator for a good bottle of wine...). To not burst the bank at the beginning of the evening I went for the cheapest option of starters - a couple of oven baked pizza dough balls for a steep 4.95 EUR. They were served with Garlic Butter. The dough balls were soft and steamy and topped with Garlic Butter not the worst choice after all, but yet a bit disappointing considering the price (most Italian Restaurants serve decent garlic bread for half the price). As main course I went for the Risotto - I love a good Risotto - and this one was ok, but would not be on the top of my fav Risottos of all times. My BF went for the steak and that was delicious. Cooked deliciously medium rare, bloody in the middle and served with crispy fries. The expensive bottle of red went very well with the steak. The portions were big enough and you did not feel cheated, the food was overall quiet good, but yet Im not sure if I would go back for seconds.
