Service department is absolutely horrible and lies. Vehicle brought in for a rad hose leak and then was supposed to have a rad and heater core flush. After paying for the parts they booked and appointment for 10 days later. Appointment was changed one day ahead and when the vehicle was brought there they kept the vehicle all day and then said they didn't realize the appointment was changed. Promised the vehicle would be ready the next day by noon. Well that afternoon they say they didn't order the parts so they couldn't fix it. 5 weeks later they bring in the SUV to repair the leak. They billed $1100 to replace the part and they were supposed to to flush the rad and heater core to get heat back in the car. My wife picks up the car and they tell her they didn't know they were supposed to flush it so they just topped up the rad. She gets home and coolant it's pouring out of the reservoir and it is obvious they didn't flush it as the coolant was still contaminated. You look at the bill and it says they flushed. Call them out on it and they lie. Ended up flushing the system myself the next day and got everything working. Very dishonest dealership and shop. read more

So we've tried and tried to contact Prince George Motor about our vehicle that burnt to crisp on it's own May 2018 and now they're refusing to speak with my husband. ICBC was involved and they even got an investigator for us to only prove Ford is at fault! Which I knew from the start. We've been quiet enough! I'm gonna start banging some noise now! Ford is the worse company to deal with when they're at fault! Even if it takes going to the media! We have the supporting documents to prove Ford is at fault for our vehicle to catch fire. We had a 2013 Ford Fusion sold to us Decemeber of 2016.. it hadn't hit the 5 year mark when it set fire! Our car was well maintained, well kept . . We were so proud to have that car! These guys have one of the worst reputations in Canada. I had some work done there and I'm pretty mechanically inclined so i check their work. They had to remove a panel and broke all of the clips that hold it in place, replaced parts unnecessarily and tried to charge me when it was warranty work. The service department is a scam. Went in on a truck, the salesman completed disregarded what I was interested in as he didn't think I would get approved , then when I did get approved they sent me home with a truck, not even the brand I was looking at. I literally got into the wrong truck they were "selling" me. There was a complete lack of respect they tried slamming me into anything they could was a very hostile environment. In 2013 I bought a 2013 Ford Focus from this dealership. Unfortunately this car had a recognized faulty transmission & there was a recall on parts of the transmission. I took the car in to PG Motors & the transmission was fixed. Unfortunately the second transmission also was faulty. When I phoned the salesman who was the self-proclaimed contact if I needed "anything at all ever" - he said I had 10 years or 240,000 km to get it fixed again but that they could only replace these transmission parts two times. Fair enough. I decided to wait to replace the transmission until it was closer to the 200,000 km mark because I didn't have a lot of faith that any transmission they put in this car would perform without problems. When I took it in at 190,000 km the service manager told me that I should have brought it in before 160,000 km. I said hold on. I made a note here that my salesman said that I was good for replacement for up to 240,000 km. So I phoned the salesman & he agreed he had said that. Unfortunately he made a mistake & there's nothing he can do about that. But if I needed a new car he could help me out with that... So I phoned the manager of PG Motors & gave him my grievance that I was under the impression that I had up to 240,000 km to get my car fixed. He said there isn't much he could do for me. He said the salesman should have contacted the service department & made sure of the specifications. I agree. He said the salesman didn't maliciously mislead me. I agree. But I made a decision based on information that the salesman gave me. How would I know that he doesn't have the right information? Bought a new F150 back in 2014 (2019 now) have had zero issues with this dealer, had very few issues with the vehicle but the things that did happen they took care of it under warranty no questions asked. Always polite service too! read more

Brought my truck in for a service and installation of a Titan tank. They had my truck for 8 hours and called to say they only did a service. While on a road trip 2 weeks later my truck starting throwing codes and the turbo stopped working. Turned out they didn't do a update that was needed. Not impressed. This is why I did not buy my truck from them and never will. read more

PGM has a bad reputation. After a quick perusal of these reviews you can't deny that. But I'm here to share a very positive experience that is an indication that PGM is turning itself around. Now I usually am able to do my own truck maintenance but with my work schedule I just couldn't find the time. I needed my break pads and rotors changed and even though that is a very simple job to do, I was in a bind. So, very reluctantly, I brought it into PGM. Admittedly, I walked in with a chip on my shoulder and if any of these guys exhibited any sort of action that I've read about in these reviews, I was ready to bite back. What I was met with, however, was a very pleasant and accommodating service rep who was able to take my vehicle in that morning. She explained that there were a few vehicles that were being worked on but that I could expect it to be done by the end of the day. That was ok, I sort of expected that so I had made arrangements for my wife to take me to work. At work I received a call from the service rep asking about my preference in break pads; she explained that the mechanic noticed I used ceramic pads and was wondering if I wanted them replaced with the same type. She went on to say that it wouldn't take any longer and that the parts were readily available. I appreciated that the mechanic noticed this detail and didn't just install some generic organic pads. So by the time I was done work I headed over I was quite pleased with my experience so far but I was ready for the other shoe to drop when receiving my truck. I fully expected them to point out that this needed attention, or that needed fixing and they'd be glad to do it at my next appointment, but I was very surprised when the report came back and the rep mentioned that the mechanic made a note that said 'washer fluid was topped up but otherwise truck is in tip top shape'. As I paid my bill, I made mention of this to the service rep that was helping me and he explained that yeah, PGM has gotten a (really) bad rep in the past but the new service manager has been making strides in turning it around for them. He told me that the manager has only been around for less than a year but he's clearly initiated some fixes and changes and has generally been a positive influence when its come to addressing the issues that the department has had. I told him my story and I mentioned that I was fully expecting a struggle when I decided to come in with my truck but it's actually been a smooth experience. Before I left I wanted the rep to express to the manager my appreciation for the work that the manager has put in to get a sideways ship upright again; PGM has a long way to go to dig itself out of the pit of bad reviews, but if my experience is any indication, they're making moves in the right direction. The rep had a funny thing to say as I left: 'yeah, he's good, but don't give him too much credit, I think he's an Edmonton Eskimos fan!' TL,DR: Judging from the reviews, I went in expecting the worst, instead I came out very impressed. Give them a shot, under the leadership of a new manager things are turning around! read more
