TDR has the latest technology in terms of diagnostic tools, appliances, and internet service. You can see your child's pictures on the website if you create an account, so the parent who is not able to attend appts gets to see. They explained very clearly what they wanted to do and why. They discussed pros and cons of treatment, best case/worst case scenarios. They had us wait on braces for my son stating that his adult molars needed to come in, and they explained that his canines should drop naturally, and they did (which means less time in braces) So I did not feel rushed/pushed into anything. After my daughter's palate was expanded they put in a maintenance appliance that is much easier to eat with and care for. They discussed my insurance with me, answering all my questions. Their communication and paperwork is forthright and clear. They offer 5 & 7% discounts if you pay up front with credit card or check. I get appt reminder text messages. I have never waited more than 5 minutes for my child to get onto their appt. They highly encourage patient responsibility and care, so they educate my kids about brushing, etc. That's a huge support as kids don't like to listen to their parents. Their prices fall within national average for service, tipping slightly toward the higher end, from what I've researched. My son's Tx was 5k before insurance & discount, my daughter's $3700. I feel like I am paying for peace of mind and time (they save me time). My daughter's teeth look great, and turned out just as they predicted. can't comment on my son's as his Tx isn't done yet. The assistants are super nice, relate well to the kids, and remember what you talked about last time. My ONLY complaint is that the female doctor started pulling my daughter's teeth (the roots were gone, they were caught on her appliance which is normal) without saying what she was about to do. It did not startle or hurt my daughter, j surprised me. I did not know anyone at TDR before I was referred there.

A couple of years ago, I began orthodontic treatment with Dr. Daia. At first, I felt hopeful…read morebecause he was the first orthodontist I consulted who didn't want to extract several teeth before beginning braces. He explained that my treatment plan would include removing just one tooth to help with crowding, which made sense given that I have a small mouth with too many teeth. Unfortunately, that extraction never happened. When I asked about it during my treatment, I was told (by staff over the phone, not by Dr. Daia directly) that the extraction would occur after my braces were put on. Instead, my "snaggle" tooth was pulled down and aligned, but no tooth was ever removed. When my braces were taken off, I still had 11 months left on my original treatment plan. My teeth now flare forward in a way that makes me even more insecure about my smile than before treatment. Throughout the process, I was diligent -- I wore my rubber bands and followed every instruction. Despite this, when I expressed concern, I was told there was nothing more that could be done. Not long after, Dr. Daia left my dentist office. Now, not only do my teeth flare, but they also cause discomfort and pain. I am left frustrated and disappointed with the outcome of my treatment. What started as a promising experience turned into one that has negatively affected both my confidence and my dental health. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Dr. Daia to others seeking orthodontic care.
