Forrest Green did an excellent job at our apartment complex in Kentwood . A very large red oak tree was split at the top making it a very dangerous situation to life and property. The crew came out right away to make the situation safe, took the tree down without incident, cleaned up beautifully and left...all within one day. Everyone that I dealt with from the very beginning were courteous, honest, and respectful. There are many tree services that I have used in my 40 years of business as our property is surrounded by many large trees. It's hard to find the right service for the job. In the futrue this company will be the first one I call because of the confidence level that I now have with them. In the scenario I described things could have gone vey bad at any moment. it was a very dangerous situation and they handled it with ease and professionalism. Not every tree service have the capabilites or equipment to handle this type of situation, it took special equipment which they provided. The prices are very reasonable for the excellent service. I guarantee that you will not find any better tree service, they will serve you well. I would not recommend this company. I contacted them to remove a tree on my property. Brad (co-owner) visited my property on May 29 and sent me an estimate. I approved this estimate on June 15, and they scheduled our project for early July. They rescheduled twice and I was very understanding both times. The project was rescheduled for August 7 and Brad even verified this with me a week prior. The day before (Aug. 6), he sent a text stating "Good morning, just got a call from [power company] and they have to reschedule the powerlines coming down. Unfortunately, that will not work for us. We are booked solid for the season. So at this point, we are going to have to pass on the job." When I received this text, I called the power company myself in an effort to get back on the schedule so our project could still be completed. Their scheduler informed me that what Brad had told me was not true. They did not call him to reschedule. Brad called the power company and canceled the appointment. I then asked Brad to please call me to discuss the situation over the phone. He texted me "I will give you a call back as soon as possible. I actually came out to the property today and realized that the whole base of the tree is completely rotted am passing on the job altogether." He never called me back. If there was an issue with the tree that would have prevented him from taking the job, he should have communicated that with me on May 29 when he came to my property the first time. Instead he strung me along for over 2 months. I don't appreciate the dishonesty and lack of professionalism. I removed a section of my fence in preparation for this project and made accommodations for an alternate place for my family to stay while the power was shut off. Do not use this company for any kind of tree work. I hired them to trim a tree in my back yard and told them they could leave the branches and scrap in the patch of woods where the tree was located.l told them all the branches had to stay in that patch of woods. They proceed to drop branches all over my neighbor's yard and left a large mess. When I told them the mess on my neighbor's yard had to be cleaned up they raked up a few twigs and refused to do any more unless I payed them to clean it up. read more

They were great about getting here for an estimate and their prices were good. Getting them here to do the work is another story! Could not get them to return calls for setting them up to do the work (trim 3 trees & removing 1). Took morning off of work as I was told they would be here...no one showed up. When I called office I was told that they had to rearrange the schedule and they had to remove my scheduled appointment! I never received a call letting me know!!!
