What went well: They did help me choose a setup that met my expectations for sound. From a "parts selection" standpoint, I got what I asked for. The problem: I'm now paying a second shop to do the job I originally came here for: The whole reason I brought my vehicle in was for the exhaust to be tucked up properly and routed cleanly. Instead, the installation was left hanging significantly lower than it should, it wasn't aligned evenly, and the overall workmanship looked rushed and sloppy. At this point, I'm having to pay another shop to correct the fitment and complete the objective I came here for in the first place--which is frustrating and avoidable. That concern also turned into a safety issue: when I drove to another shop afterward, my wife followed behind me and called asking me to pull over because the exhaust was swaying so noticeably while driving. I tried to give them a chance to correct it I went back in good faith to let them make it right. I tried to explain the issue and work with Lyndsey, but I got nowhere and didn't feel my concerns were being taken seriously. Let alone heard. Second opinion confirmed the issue immediately: I took the vehicle to another shop. They got it up on the lift, immediately understood what I was pointing out, and even commented on the poor workmanship. Bottom line If you only need something simple and you're not picky about fitment, maybe you'll have a different experience--but based on what I received and how the follow-up was handled, I would not trust this location. I have two identical vehicles. One has a standard Y-pipe, and the other (serviced at plainfield) has a more "aggressive" rumble box. Both are otherwise stock. Originally, the serviced vehicle sat at roughly 4" from the body at the center exhaust. Just as the completely stock vehicle pictured does. When I removed the mufflers from the sportier vehicle, the pipe dropped significantly. Lyndsay and her tech are claiming the nearly 8" it's currently hanging is "stock," which doesn't align with OEM. Again, I brought this in to have it brought back up and new hardware welded in. They simply welded in some hardware and called it a day. This was an incredibly disappointing experience.

As a mechanic I have sent many people to Walker towing but if this is how they work with me I cannot ever in good conscience send anyone their way again. 1. I was out of country so I could not head this off but here goes. My wife and 2 daughter in a roll over onto the trucks side hung from seatbelts for about 1/2 hour upside down. They get out the police man asked her who she wants to call for a tow truck company of course wife is more concerned about kids and herself so she says whoever you think will be the best so the officer calls Walker City Towing. Because he called instead of my wife calling I got an extra $350 police called fee. If she had called no fee. After I get back home I looked at bill and called the first guy who answered said that should not be on your bill that is if you have full coverage I have a 22 year old truck so no full coverage. He says call Jim the owner and he can adjust bill. Jim obviously was not interested in my call but said he would call back in 24 hours. That was two days ago still no call. 2. We said deliver the truck to our house which also has my auto shop on site. My house is literally 3 miles down the same road as the tow company. Yes same street. Driver says no go cant do it and brings it to his yard. My son who is trying to help his mother and sisters out meets the truck at the yard its there less than 15 minutes and they charge us for a storage fee of 75 dollars. Yup they just wanted the extra tow charge and storage fee instead of doing what we asked. 3. To add insult to injury the driver that flipped the truck right side up ripped the rear brake lines off from the rear axle of the truck. Now I have another 4 to 5 hundred of time and parts fixing this. 4. Jim the owner was obviously not in the mood to deal with me as he was trying to hang up as fast as he could in our call. From other tow companies my bill would have been $100 hook up $250 for the roll over and winching and about 5 dollars per mile which would be 8 miles or 40 bucks for a total of $390 dollars plus a fuel charge. And I would not have brake line repairs on my dime. All I am asking for is they make things right and I get crickets. If a car is damaged in any way while in my care I am expected to fix no questions asked.

I decided to have it towed to West Side Service and as Sam was trying to load it some rust fell off the underside. I told him to tow it over to WSS and let Mary take a look. Within 20 minutes I got a call from Mary saying the undercarriage was so rusted that they'd never get it on the hoist. In the meantime, Sam said he'd take it to his place and Mary told him No! She knew I had personal items that I'd want to get out of the car and Sam told her I could come get them at his business which was stupid because he's on 32nd Street. She immediately called me while he was standing there and told me what he wanted to do. I told her no way and she told him no, again, while she was on the phone with me. She said she didn't trust him and he was up to something. That was good enough for me and I told her to do whatever she thought best. He did leave without my car and when she called me back she said if I could get her my title she'd call a couple of scrap places and get it sold. My son got all my stuff out and left my title. She called later to tell me she not only sold it but got one place to up the price by $25.00. This is why I love and trust this place. They always do the right thing by their customers. I had no reservations about letting Mary handling selling my car because she and her employees are so honest.
