The complex is in London itself but not anywhere downtown so you'll have to get there via a taxi or possibly the tube although I'm not 100% sure if it goes all the way out there - I visited this with my middle school years ago. The first time i visited i found it very difficult to find and then when i did i realised the car…read morepark was mostly for the use of staff and the tiny allocation of spaces for visitors was constantly used. I waited 30mins for someone to leave so that i could grab a space! - The bulding is large with double fronted glass patio style doors and the reception is large and open. There is a waiting area and lots of leaflets available on local events and things to do for the family. Also local bus timetables and train information which was excellent. There is a small lift in place of the stairs to get down to the offices and a larger lift for travelling up, so disabled and pushchair access is good. The staff are halpful and friendly to the best of their ability and appointments are freely available.

Although there is a large car park and the staff have a seperate area to park there are always…read morelimited spaces so i recommend walking there if you can or parking in the pub just down the road. The building itself is beautiful but the offices are dim. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful and that includes telephone support as well as personal visits. I visited the counter to buy purple refuse sacks and the queue was around 2 people and cleared quickly and the desk clerks were helpful. I have also taken documents into the council offices but the waiting period is very hit and miss and on occassions i have waited as little as 2 mins to as long as 20mins. Unfortunately appointments cannot be arranged. Within the grounds there are many rooms which are hired out so you can visit weight watchers, slinnibg world etc but you need to visit the clubs to find out what goes on there. Leaflets are freely available to explain benefits you could be entitled to as well as local events that are happening. The grounds around the office are beautiful and if you have a civil wedding ceremony the photos on the green behind the offices will be stunning.

I just finally made the call and spoke to a very friendly and professional council officer Christopher Davies who not just gave me valuable information but went out of his way to help us resolve the issue. The good advice, extremely speedy actions he took and the important additional details he provided made me believe that Broxbourne Borough Council has outstanding customer service and would be always a pleasure to be contacted. I have also previously contacted the Council Tax department and I received the same outstanding customer support. Thank you Broxbourne Borough Council, you are the best!

Dulwich Village is best enjoyed on a sunny weekend afternoon, when you can saunter around and take…read morein the quaint charm of this relatively unspoiled part of middle class London. Take a stroll in the manicured environs of Dulwich Park, with its beautifully tended flower beds, boating lake and rentable reclining bicycles and just avert your eyes from the estate agents as you crunch up the gravelled pathways towards an inviting stretch of restaurants and shops, with the quintessential village pub, the Crown & Greyhound, in the centre. It's best to eschew the chain eateries for the gorgeous Italian deli and take a bag full of picnic supplies back to the park but I have to admit enjoying a big glass of white wine and a Pizza Express pizza outside on a sunny day in Dulwich Village is pretty great too. Then it's back to reality with a bump!

There are lovely independent boutique clothing shops, a very nice handbag shop - the owners are very friendly and nice. There is also a superb organic food shop - I picked up two tubs of delicious organic olives,which were ever so tasty. Just around the corner you have the stately Dulwich College. It's boasts amazing architecture. There is also a good range of places to eat,drink or simply have a refreshing cup of tea. Dulwich Village is definitley worth a visit and make sure you have your camera phone ready - it' beautifully picturesque

The State Apartments have great paintings around the panelled walls and are more intimate, while I can't imagine a more impressive place for a wedding reception than the Great Hall, lined with battle standards captured from foreign regiments (though one might have to be selective with the guest list....)

After ascending through the lightfilled…read moreSouthwark Underground Station and arriving on the street you are greeted with a colorful building that is carved just enough to reveal a bit of sculpture, but maintains sufficient rigour to boldly firm up a major intersection. The organic shaped conference room snugly fit behind a row of exposed columns is signature Will Alsop. It takes cues from the way in which Corbusier created spaces by not taking forms right up to and attaching to columns -- allow the column to define the space. The last several stories cantilever on the west and east facades. The organization of the curtainwall system is organized randomness of suttle colors. It has been siginificant on the skyline and now a building several blocks to the northeast has taken cues in its curtainwall system from the Palestra.
